... but not compatible with this device. I've been wanting it for so long. I have it for my iphone, but the screen is too small to comfortably play it.
Shame
Bought and enjoying it immensely, identical to the pc/console, if anything it may even be better. If anyone wants to support games development for android, get xcom asap.

If I had to guess, he probably used market helper, made the Play Store think he's on a Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 or something, and got it that way.

apparently its available for my ancient asus transformer tf101 but not my note 8. I'll give that market helper a try.
I bought it on my note 2 and transferred it to my note 8 and it works flawlessly. Fantastic game!

Is that easy to do? Says I can install it on my old Asia transformer. Would run poorly on that thiugh

It's pretty easy. I made a backup of the app with titanium backup, copied all the files that start with "com.tt2kgames." from the titanium backup folder on my note 2 to the titanium backup folder on my note 8, restored the app with titanium backup on my note 8, and then copied the "com.tt2kgames.xcomeu" folder and its contents from /sdcard/Android/obb on my note 2 to the same location on my note 8. Hit the xcom icon and stated blasting et's.

Pretty slick installation tricks. That's mucho annoying when games / apps "aren't available" on a certain device via the Play Store, but work completely fine once sideloaded. This was the case with Real Boxing; I saw it on the Play Store at one point on my Note 8, then I think it went on sale so I bought and installed it on my phone, but when I got around to putting it on my tablet, versions 1.x - 1.y where "incompatible", then once it hit 1.z it showed up for the Note 8 again.
Anyways, I wanted to check out XCOM on the big screen (bought it on my Note 3), so but I had the Playstore incompatibility and a lack of storage space on my tablet for the pretty-heavy obb file. I use the hell out of FolderMount to leverage space on my 64 GB external sd, so I first planned to send the game's TB from my Note 3 to the 8, import it, then mount the obb file on the extSD. No luck, not enough storage for the restore. So then I tried this: made an empty folder in sdcard0/Android/obb called com.tt2kgames.xcomeu, used FolderMount to mount that folder on extSD via the built-in file browser, made sure that folder was mounted, copied the game's apk and obb file onto my handy new 32 gig OTG flash drive (I got the Transcend one on Amazon... it's like half an in long and has a regular USB connection on one side and a micro usb with a cap on the other), installed the apk on the Note 8, then copied the obb file into the symlinked / mounted folder on the external micro sd, crossed my fingers, lost my grip on my tablet and dropped it, picked it up with a normal grip and launched the game... and it worked!
It plays pretty well on the Note 8 compared to the 3, just takes about 4x longer to load. I've never played this game on a different platform, or this type of gaming in general, but it's pretty fun. Definitely pretty impressive and no buyer's-remorse for dropping $10 on it. Probably would feel differently if I wasn't successful installing it on both of my devices though.

I was wondering why Gameloft has a problem with android market bc yesterday I bought a game via my Galaxy Tab and they took it out of my paypal but I never got the game and now I have sent them two emails and have to call them tomorrow and I am like 85% sure this would not have happened with the Android market.
Out of curiosity, did you read the license for the games purchased from their site? You can only re-download a game on the same phone you bought it (and same sim-phone number), and only for 3 years. Not sure if i remember well, but it might even had a limit of how many times you can download a game!
I would never ever buy anything from their site.

Legitimately is what you're after
There is an upper size limit on apps from the marketplace, currently 50MB I believe, by offering applications directly they can bypass this limit. For example, NFS:Shift is roughly 120MB and Asphalt:HD is just on 100MB. I'm pretty sure both download additional data to the SD Card as well.
Other games have a small client and just download a mass of extra data (e.g. that shadow souls or whatever that new RPG game is called that downloads ~1GB of data), so they could adopt that method, presumably they choose not to.
They also probably want a bigger cut of the profits by charging directly, they'd probably have much better exposure in the marketplace though.

Update with them: They sent me the games that I wanted(spider-man hd, dungeon hunter hd(buy one get one free)) and created me an account after I called them and explained my mistake so it was cool...
Until the bug in the game spider-man hd where it wont load the stage called, "Mystery Infection Strikes City" so I called them and they said to keep spider-man hd on my tablet and they should be issuing an update in a few months and they sent me a free game(hero of Sparta) for all my troubles.
About them on the market: Well that sucks bc if they were on the market they could issue updates faster; but then again since they have different versions for different devices(for some reason) it may get a bit confusing.
FYI NFS installer is around 20mb (smaller for Ashphalt5HD), the 120 MB is the total after downloading the data once in the game.
So that's not a reason for market avoidance (both NFS and Ashphalt are on the market anyway, least here in the UK and also both are available for free in samsung apps regardless).
I downloaded Spiderman of the site, and evertime i try it i get a "this is not an official copy of spiderman" error and it closes, i have tried over wifi, or 3g, and with the SIM i had at the time of purchase in the tab.
I'm not that bothered about the game though, it was one of my vouchers from the samsung pack anyway.

1-What is point of buying FULL HD tablet and most the apps are not optimize for it..(Like the IPAD 3 there are a few apps that are optimize )
2-What is the point, every time i go GOOGLE PLAY to buy an app ,it is not compatible with my devices.
{Almost 90% of EA games and 90% of GAMELOFT games are compatible with my devices.}
What else i'm i missing........
MOD EDIT: REMOVED
This is the future of tablets along with 2gigs of ram like the Note 10.1. Eventually apps will be optimized for tablets and for higher res screens. Google has spoken out and said that they will focus on tablet apps optimization so its only a matter of time before most devs are on board. Yes many apps are not optimized for the FHD screen but I havent had any issues with all the apps Ive downloaded far and i already have about 150 apps installed. I dont know about you but I like knowing that my FHD screen tablet will still be valid in the coming years vs one with an aging lower res screen.

Text, which is used on ebooks, web browse, several games etc. But if you have Infinity or FHD device, just go use non FHD device now. You will immediately notice blurriness on texts. My eyes are bad, but even then I noticed the difference on my old iPad 2 after 2 weeks of Infinity.
The problem is that everything is made for the Galaxy. And we know all that has a resolution that looks 10 years old compared to the TF700. Devs are too stupid or too lazy to figure out it's easier to downscale than upscale. (Evidently I mean those on Google Play and not the folks here, let's keep those two seperate.)
As for compatibility issues, developers are too lazy to add 'Transformer TF700" to that text file in the google play store that lists compatible devices. (How hard is it to do that when you add the Nexus 7?! Morons) Fact is all EA and Gameloft games work FINE on the TF700.
many apps/games which are shown as not compatible are working fine if you copy a titanium backup from your phone to the tab!

When an app or games looks really promising, I'll always try side-loading from my Galaxy SII -- works more often than not. With Total Commander, you can just send over the raw apk file as well.
I have removed a few post in here guys, remember this site is for everyone, be mindful of what you say. Thank you!

I Blame Asus, they should call the Game developer and ask the why the game is not compatible with their device.
When Asphalt 7: Heat came out it wasn't compatible with the Nexus 7,but Google make sure that was compatible in a few days.
Asus is making Good Hardware but does really spend time on the software.....
I look at it this way:
I went through the same pain when Vista first came out, only it was software *AND* device drivers (for hardware). IOW, Been there, done that.
Yeah, it is annoying that some apps are not available for my Infinity. But, most are. And I am good with that.
As mentioned above, I'd rather be ahead of the curve in terms of hardware than behind it. Having used my Infinity for a couple of months now I could never use anything less than the resolution I am using on it on any other tablet.
What is the point of spending $500 or more on a tablet device and not getting Full HD?
HI
I have seen a brand new tab 7.7 16gb for £260 with next day shipping. As I'm waiting for my iPad mini pre order refund as i dont like waiting 3 weeks for a tablet lol.
I own a Galaxy Note 1st gen and really like the amoled screen tech.
What I want to know is what is the amount of internal storage is there for apps etc. as the note only shows 2gb when fresh. And 11gb for usb storage.
I understand you can root to change the the problem with not been able to move apps to external sd card, but i dont want to do that.
I have rooted things before and changed roms but its not something I'm looking at doing on a brand new tablet.
Also is it anygood/ known problems with ics etc..
A picture to show the internal storage amount would be great if anyone could do that please.
Thanks
i think there is no limitation for app space...

for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 the storage limit for apps is the size of the internal sd itself.
I believe there is something wrong with you if you ever manage to fill the whole 16GB just with apps
Sent from my GT-P6800 using xda app-developers app
total space for apps internally around 13gb. its enough. unless you playing gameloft games which some of it will eat around 2gb for data. then you need to plan how many... for other company... or kids stuff... the highest i've ever try is around 120 apps... and i still had 8gb left for other thing... and i use 64gb sdcard for movies/songs/documents
Great
Well it seems to be better than the tab 7 2 I owned with only 4.9g storage.
I ordered a iPad mini case before I cancelled the order. and thats turned up today. what a nice size.
I want the tab 7.7 for the screen tech and I know what it can do been the same spec as my Note.
Well thanks for the help.
Just have to wait now for the refund from Apple. they I can order it.
to the filling up the 16gb. I have over 550 iOS apps So I think i could fill the apple up.
I have 80+ apps/games on the NOTE and still have 1gb left for apps and around 3.9gb left on the usb storage and nearly all of my 16gb mircosd card left.
yep.. we do got plenty apps on IOS... but to find the same apps on android... kind of diificult...
I've got the P6800 32GB and that has 27.16GB available. Remember that is split between apps (data partition) and internal storage (sdcard partition). So if you take lots of pictures or store lots of movies you'll be limited by how many apps you can install.
You can also add an external sd-card for more space. Read elsewhere in this forum where people have had some success with 64GB sd cards.

seems like some RAM management problem. as far as I know, when Android had some problem with RAM, it kill's all apps/services - I've notice this, since after "crash" all my background services were restarted. So I think it's more Android problem. on the other hand, XCOM is still v1 so I think there will be some updates with improvements.
From what I can tell, all Exynos devices seem to be affected. I always have about 2gb free ram before I play, so it can't be Android purging it from memory, but you never know...

I am also on SlimLP & love it. Yes you can move the apk file but not the huge data folder, the data folder has to stay on the internal which sucks.

Link2SD works great as well although you have to create a 2nd partition within your SD card. It's easy enough to do, but the actual Link2SD app doesn't have a way of creating the partition you need to store app data on your SD card. Still, it's easy enough to do if you Google Link2SD.
App2sd hasn't caused any bootloops for me working great so far.
Not a Moga question, but gamepad related. Has anyone had success pairing a DualShock 3 or 4 with their Fire Tablet? I'm using a Dualshock 4 and it works great. It simply connect by bluetooth just holding PS Button + Share Button.
But to get better functionalities I used "Sixaxis Controller" (playstore).
Here is a video that helps when trying to use Sixaxis Controller:
youtube =PV9OziAhZso (I'm new, can't post links)
If you feel the controller is laggy (a little delay for the buttons to respond) download "Bluetooth Auto Connect" (playstore). Leave everything default then go to Advanced Options > Bluetooth Auto Connect > "Connect Now".
