HELLO GUYS
I compiled CM7 from newest sources and I would want to see if it works like AOSP
I've not done any tweaking as of yet because I don't know what will work for the R .
Features:
- Theme Chooser (freedom to install any CM7 theme)
- Ability to take Screenshots directly from Power Menu
- Extended power menu
- Allows rebooting normally , to recovery and even bootloader (not applicable)
Anyway , I need a kind soul to take screenshots (you will be credited)

Prealpha Release 1:
- Built from sources as at 21/3/2012
- Does not boot due to problem with the TARGET_ARCH_VARIANT_FPU
Preapha Release 2:
- Changed TARGET_ARCH_VARIANT_FPU
- Still not booting
Prealpha Release 3:
- Built by FranzJesus
- Removed ARMv7 errata patch
- Booting
No boot, freeze on splash screen
Sorry I cannot provide a logcatfile because my sgr won't turn on when usb/charger is plugged. (Once I see the splash screen and release power button booting process stops immediately and returns to charging screen. No such problems on stock though)
m.kochan10, is there any ways to flash other rom after it? if your SGR not "bricked" I'll try to flash CM7 too.
Of course, u can easily enter recovery and flash rom / restore backup in a regular way. It's not a problem at all.
It's just no way to provide a logcat file. To do it u must try to boot your system while connected to usb and this seems impossible here.

Hmm....that's strange . Will debug with FranzJesus

Can you try to replace the boot.img in my CM7 with the AOSP's boot.img ?
Herpderp Defy.
EDIT2: Replacing kernel with the one from last AOSP didn't make any difference....actually it did one, namely: Booting process stops on a splash screen but then phone boots into recovery mode automatically by itself.

I just replaced the boot.img from the AOSP release 2 with the one on cm7 and flashed it.
after reboot, it shows the splash screen and then goes back to CWM recovery...
EDIT : Same result when tried with the boot image from release 1.
Wow that sucks.....damn will ask FranzJesus for help then

Actually its sad for "us" sgr users that these talented devs dont have an sgr for testing. And thats y the non-devs/testers help as much they can to find the issues and get them logs.

Would you be kind enough to donate one or money to them ??
If not, nonconstructive comments best kept to oneself.
We are very fortunate to have a forum after much debate and even more fortunate to have kind devs doing this for next to nothing.
Please choose your words carefully in the future.
Cheers !
If there is real interest from a dev and enough of us can donate a small amount, it wouldn't be such a bad idea.

How did you know EmoBoiix3 doesn't have a R ?
I know he has access(he doesn't use it personally though) to one but for his own valid reasons he can't use it for testing.
I assume you have a R, you should to try to cook some custom ROMs forget CM7 to get an idea how many aspirins they might have to take to get one ROM working correctly.
Don't you think its selfless of them to make ROMs for a device which they themselves don't use/have ?
About the time taken kindly don't ask for ETA's on this forum, it will be stated by the dev themselves when it'll be released.
I don't think statements like these add anything to the forum.

Well unless m.kochan10 can
Defy-ing all limits.
I've tried....but it seems like there's simply no way to switch on your device (after you've flashed rom) while you're connected to PC via usb.
1)I switch off the phone and immediately get charging screen (no animation, just a battery pic)
2)Open cmd,
a) type: adb logcat > logfile.txt ,
b) immediately get information - "waiting for device"
3) Press power button until I see splash screen
4)Once I release the power button booting process stops and charging screen appears instead.
No problems with entering both DM and RM. Such problem doesn't exist on stock. I've no idea how to bypass it.
It definitely is a boot.img problem then.....damn this is **** lol
Defy-ing all limits.

DISCLAIMER:
Rooting your phone and using custom Recoveries and ROMS have risks and may result in bricking your device, and has nothing to do with Google or the device manufacturers. In case of any mishap I am not responsible if you brick/ruin your phone in any way.
Basic computer skills are required and minimal knowledges about phones and phones utilities too.
Make sure that whatever you do, you are doing it at your own responsibility.
Max Blue is a port ROM from Amoi N850 stock.
Update 12.02.2014 INFO
- changed the based ROM to Amoi N850, much better than previous
- beautiful theme, cool look
- fast, smooth, stable (FSS)
- everything optimized: deodexed, init.d support, zipaligned, etc.
For first boot you have to be patient, because the ROM is deodexed and that cause a longer boot than a stock ROM.
* I worked for this since last december and if you see a bump in version is because I didn't share all intermediate builds, which wasn't that good to share.
You can see some screenshots in SCREENSHOTS SECTION.
First release 28.11.2013 INFO
- various fixes: screen colors and depth, GPS (new fix), network, tethering, sounds, callerID matching, and some others.
- fixed computer connection as USB Mass storage in any windows (no ZTE drivers needed).
- optimizations for ram, kernel, cache.
- speed and smoothness.
- some UI improvements.
- possibility to use 3G in both SIMs.
- dual call buttons.
- for GPS all needed files are included.
- rooted with koush's superuser app.
- all apps necessary added (like mobile uncle).
- for adblocker, the hosts file is properly configurated.
You can see some screenshots in SCREENSHOTS SECTION.
Gapps are included essential, and if you want all suite just flash "Gapps to complete zip".
INSTALL INSTRUCTION:
To flash a new ROM properly, you need one of my recoveries (for these I'm sure they works).
1. Reboot to recovery.
2. Do a nandroid backup or backup in cwm.
3. mount USB Mass Storage and delete from sdcard these three directories:
.android_secure
Android
LOSTDIR
4. Copy ROM zip or zips on sdcard
5. Eject mass storage from computer and then unmount in recovery
6. wipe all/factory reset or pre-flash wipe in recovery
7. wipe or erase dalvik cache
8. flash zip from sdcard, choose ROM zip, flash it and reboot, or if you flash my ROM version 3.3, the phone will reboot itself.
That's all, this is the correct way to flash any new ROM in any phone thru recovery.
QUICK GPS FIX:
If you want to quick fix gps, do all steps from this post, without downloading MobileUncle - is already installed in ROM.
For downloads check post #3.

Thank carliv, that is again a very nice addon...
It looked very promising, especially functional lock screen. However I've found the following issues:
The play icon in the app/widget drawer is inactive
The dialer is not capable of Smart Dialing.
The dialer does not support lower DPI properly
Keyboard is shifted to the left. Max Inception works much better here
The colored arrows in the call-log are no-longer clickable. But this is the case in any MAX rom I've tested.
Attached screens with 160 dpi, to exaggerate the problems a bit.

I guess I have to make a video to show you that none of these are manifesting in my phone, except smart-dialer problem, which is inherited from ported ROM.
I don't know how you get those problems, but the attached images look like you have a different phone, not ZTE V967S.
The phone from what I used the ROM to port has same specifications: 540x960 res and 240 dpi.

I am just reporting the issues I observe - and I have v967s for sure
I prefer to use 220 or 200 dpi, as it utilizes the screen estate more efficiently.

No, you report problems created by yourself. If you apply special settings, then you have to make your own ROM, something that suits you. What I did is for a regular user, who wants just a good ROM. So, probably my ROMs are not for you. Sorry.

Don't get it as an attack on yourself, I did not mean it that way... I find your hard work amazing and impossible to overrate. There are a few things I would have done differently, but as long as I don't publish my work for free, I don't really have right to criticize
What I wanted to show is that in MAX Inception 1.4 the phone application behaved well and scaled properly (like a well written applications should do) to the dpi settings. MAX Blue, MAX Inception 1.6, MAX Flavour 4.1 - they all seem to share the same phone application problem.
BTW. ZTE v967s has exactly 220dpi of screen density (960x540 @ 5"). 240dpi would be perfect, if the resolution was 1024x576 at 5"...

I didn't take it as an attack, it's just a waste of time and space. You are talking about peculiar situations, that interest only you, and this is a thread for general discussions about this ROM. I already told you, make your own ROM and stop posting nonsense. It's very simple. As you said I share all these for free, and nobody force you to use them. So, why all this criticism about things that only you are doing different than everybody else? Chill out, and go find something that will please you, or do it by yourself.

Hi and first of all, thanks for reading or even try to make this mod.
I want to reunite all this mod for my stock odexed Nexus 5 (4.4.2 - KOT49H). I try to flash 'em all and I can't make work the volume rock or the extended reboot menu. If you get it I promise you a little donation via Paypal.
Thanks everyone!
EDIT: I don't want any Xposed Module I want to switch to ART in a future. And yes, I know that extended reboot doesn't work on ART but I can live with it.

It means that it is written as a java code (the smalis in a .apk) and that you won't find PNGs anymore so You can't change it
So it's impossible but why can cm and other ROMs have it? Has task just imply implemented it yet?

Circle battery is written in KK's battery meter view that contain also the stock battery code.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...rc/com/android/systemui/BatteryMeterView.java
If You see inside it You will find all options for battery
Code:
BATTERY_METER_GONE,
BATTERY_METER_ICON_PORTRAIT,

I have a similar mod from user cargo. The only thing that I cannot make work is extended reboot and volume rocker
Dude in cargo's mod there is no clear all recents button and 36 DPI navbar mod and Dont worry more things are coming soon and i have already added ext power menu , lockscreen rotation will soon release v3 after my exams
Ok so after some brainstorming and a LOT rebooting, I finally figured out how the boot animation works on stock G3 ROMs.
I took the animation from the Nexus 6 factory image, and made some modifications so it runs like its supposed to. It would not finish before the boot has ended, neither will it be incomplete.; no matter what you boot time is.
Confirmed working on any model and any LG based ROM! (even LG lollipop) :good:
NEW
Added resized bootanimation from Marshmallow's stock animation (bootanimation_LGM.zip)
I have added a shutdown animation per request of some users.
I did it backwards so it starts by fading in the "android" word and then it disintegrates into the particles and then finally it goes black until shutdown. Let me know what you think and if you have any problems, like the animation not finishing completely before shutting down.
It should work on all LG based ROMs just like the boot animation, but report back if it doesn't
I have also added boot and shutdown animations for AOSP based ROMs, since they don't use animations for the quickcircle.
Instructions: (you must be rooted)
Download the animations based on your ROM (LG or AOSP based)
go to /system/media folder and rename bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak and shutdownanimation.zip to shutdownanimation.zip.bak
move downloaded zip files to /system/media folder
remove suffix from files (bootanimation_LG.zip to bootanimation.zip)
set 644 (rw-r--r--) permisions (no sticky permission needed)
reboot and enjoy!
Some technical explanation
It turns out that the ROM uses the first half of the folders in the bootanimation.zip for a different animation when booting with the Quickcircle case. No matter what they are named or the files, or what is in them; it will always do this. So I went ahead and created 6 more folders to the start of the list (part0_0 to part0_5) and just added an only image from the stock LG Quickcircle animation (if you use quickcircle case you would notice when booting up with the case).
After that I noticed that on the description file (desc.txt) you have to leave the way it is on the nexus devices: (c 1 0 part1_2) instead of (p 1 0 part1_2); because the way the Lollipop notification works is that it loops the folder "part1_3" in this case, so you see the particles until boot is complete and then it shows the "android" word and fade away before getting to the lockscreen. If I change it to (p 1 0 part1_2) it would never show the android word and would get to the lockscreen as soon as it finishes boot. If I use the "c" it tells it to complete the animation before getting to lockscreen. This is why the animation is not humongus in size, compared to other Lollipop animations for the G3 (no offense)
Next thing I did was to up the resolution, but I don't have to do it to every single image, I just set the resolution that I want in the description file, and that's it. I didn't set it to take the whole screen (side to side) because for me it didn't look that good, but if you want I can make it for you, and even set it to the stock Nexus resolution.
Also, if you want a different quickcircle animation, just send me the file and I'll see what I can do
Its fantastic!!! No more black screen at the end!! Many thanks
yes, its made so that no matter how much time the boot takes, it never finishes before time or the other way around.
did you liked the size of it?
Sorry, i should've tried it rather than asking this..
Is there any choppiness? Because on the Chupachups theme I experienced choppy animation & not attractive, thank you!

That's weird because he is using my bootanimation.zip... What version of that theme are you using? 2.0 or 2.1? Try 2.1 because it's the one with my boot animation, and see if it runs completely and report back
Will this work with quick circle case? Like for instance the stock D851 and unbranded Lg boot animations will fit in the circle viewer. A lot of others do not.. Saw something in the OP about it but not sure if it already exists.
Smooth and small all the other's I have is like 60megs and up
It's perfect… killer job

Title says all! I need a tester to test this base touchwiz rom for me. I'm not responsible for damages but you should be fine if you know how to get out of bootloops.
Basically, if this base rom works, I will open a development thread and people can use this base and modify things as they would like and make their own custom rom without hassling with updater script. Also, if this base rom works, I will *maybe* make a custom rom for this device. Though I don't own this device, I have made many custom roms and also custom themes for devices I don't own.

simply make a backup, factory reset, and flash in twrp. Thanks!
EDIT CONFIRMED WORKING!

it boots and runs smooth... it hangs up at the first screen no boot animation makes the boot sound then waits.., but it's does boot. What is the difference between this rom and stock roms?

Its just a test rom making sure I didn't mess things up. Thank you very much for testing BTW! I will add a few things such as deknox it and do a lot more.
This is a base rom for any dev to use and add their own mods. Since you confirmed it working, I will create two development threads, one for this base in which devs can mod, one for when I start to add things to this rom and make it my own.
I will definitely add some sort of custom bootanimation, debloat a bit and bunch more. I saw that superstocked rom hasn't been updated due to dev probably have real life issues. It will be something similar to that but not to fancy.

Darn it! Thanks a lot for that info. One final question, have you experienced any crashes with camera or any apps crashing overall? Thanks again!

Shutdown works but boot animation still doesn't load.. I know it's not the qmg it's a different error in your rom... I've seen it happen before but I don't know why I'm not a developer.. also in your rom page you say first boot takes 20 mins... it like 3 mins but 5 at most....
