[REQUEST] Mod Center Clock + % Battery + Volume Rock + NavBar 32 DPI + Ext Reboot - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi and first of all, thanks for reading or even try to make this mod.
I want to reunite all this mod for my stock odexed Nexus 5 (4.4.2 - KOT49H). I try to flash 'em all and I can't make work the volume rock or the extended reboot menu. If you get it I promise you a little donation via Paypal.
Thanks everyone!
EDIT: I don't want any Xposed Module I want to switch to ART in a future. And yes, I know that extended reboot doesn't work on ART but I can live with it.

Cyanogenmod or smooth stock ROM

Bro this mod will be available soon and enricocid i think he want this mod for a stock rom

I also just came across this need. I switched to task650's AOKP which is AWESOME so far by the way. However I can't figure out how to change the battery icon.... Looks like the feature wasn't implemented yet. That's why I need a fishable .zip

It means that it is written as a java code (the smalis in a .apk) and that you won't find PNGs anymore so You can't change it

So it's impossible but why can cm and other ROMs have it? Has task just imply implemented it yet?

Circle battery is written in KK's battery meter view that contain also the stock battery code.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...rc/com/android/systemui/BatteryMeterView.java
If You see inside it You will find all options for battery
Code:
BATTERY_METER_GONE,
BATTERY_METER_ICON_PORTRAIT,
BATTERY_METER_ICON_LANDSCAPE,
BATTERY_METER_CIRCLE,
BATTERY_METER_TEXT
also other roms have it.. so no pngs.. every battery indicator is written directly into the code
CM (and also others) has also a java battery controller for the choice, in status bar settings
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...m/android/settings/cyanogenmod/StatusBar.java

[ROM][AOSP][69MB] FoxhoundPlus *MAJOR UPDATE IS COMING!*

I tested almost every rom with every kernel and mods.
Each rom got advantages which I prefered but none of the could please me to 100 percent.
So, one day I thought about making my own first one...
It should definetely Gingerbread based because of the battery drain and the beta state of ICS.
I thought we got enough stock based roms and one CM7-based one.
I wanted to make something NEW.
FoxhoundPlus is the result.
First: the disclamer
Code:
*************************************************************************
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
break ups with your crush because you didn't hear your phone,
or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
Please do some research if you have any concerns about
features included in this ROM and read this whole thread
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications
and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device,
I will laugh at you.
****************************************************************************
FEATURES:
[br]based on AOSP 2.3.7
[br]slim-rom: under 80mb ram
[br]faster deepsleep
[br]AOSP mazen912 kernel, SkyHigh or Broodkernel
[br]AOSP Launcher
[br]TW4Launcher
[br]Removed Bloatware
[br]FoxEngine
[br]Added FoxBloatware:
Code:
no frill CPU
CPU spy
DSPManager
Adobe FlashPlayer 11.1 (latest)
Note
SDMaid
SuperUser
TaskManager
TWEAKS
[br]rooted
[br]deodexed
[br]zipaligned
[br]changed audio.lib, etc.
[br]I8150 grafic drivers
[br]I/O Enhanced
[br]init.d support
[br]some build.prop tweaks
SPECIAL EXTRA
[br]added MGS-Alarms, Notifications, Tones and UI sounds
[br]modified SystemUI.apk
[br]modified Framework-res.apk
[br]Froyo loading animation (got enogh from the gingerbread one)
[br]custom boot animation Foxhound (thanks to H4MM3R311!)
[br]Android Battery Icon
[br]swipe to remove notifications
[br]transparent drawer background
[br]CRT-On, CRT-Off effects
[br]while screenoff: changing from wifi to data to save battery (can be turned of in wifi->advanced->wifi sleep policy (the second one)
[br]black background because black is the most battery saving color (you can change that)
and a lot more which I already forgot...
KERNEL
FoxhoundPlus is AOSP based-> YOU CANNOT FLASH STOCK BASED KERNEL!
If you flash a stock based one you will risk BRICKING your rom!
This rom comes with 2 different kernel:
[br]mazen912 AOSP kernel (stock): ~no UV/OC support
-no custom boot sound
[br]SkyHigh AOSP build by Skywalker01: +UV/OC support up to 1804mhz
+custom boot sound support
-hardly working vibration
-no headset working
[br]SkyHigh non OC (didn't test it yet)
[br]Broodkernel AOSP by Broodplank1337: +UV/OC support up to 1804mhz
+custom boot sound support
-hardly working vibration
-no headset working
[br]They did a great work thank you for this!!!
[br]I would recommend using mazen912 AOSP kernel, you will reach about 50-100 more points in antutu.
INSTALLATION
Download the file/s to your SD memory card
Reboot in recovery mode (I would recommend CWM/CWM Touch or TWRP)
Wipe EVERYTHING (System, Cache, Dalvik)
Install those zip's you like.
Read the log.
Reboot and enjoy!
If you come from FoxhoundPlus itself, there is no need to wipe system (you can do this with every AOSP rom, unluckily there is only FoxhoundPlus)

Well. Maybe you should pm arco and ask how he fixed the in call volume on cm9.
I like your rom so far. Two questions:
1: Can i change widgets in the notification drawer? (Its been a long time since i used cm7 and i dunno if that is possible)
2: why dont i get a lockscreen? When i press the power button, the screen goes off. Press power again and he directly goes to where i was. No lockscreen. Even when i set pattern.
Once again, really nice work on the framework en systemui! Keep up the good work!

1. I'm afraid you cannot (maybe I can manage to "steal" the quickpanel settings app from CM7
2. Had this bug with my first version too, just reboot your device and the bug is gone forever
Very good rom is my first impression. In call volume it is one problem which must be fixed. I will continue the testing because this special rom needs more testing. I will report if more problems.

Is the usb debug notification and bug off cm7? It wont go away and i thoughed there was a solution for that... not sure tough

Lockscreen worked after reboot, as you say it would.
All the songs are mp3 format. So it isnt related to that.
And i thoughed it was app related to, so i flashed some zip wich i had there for a while. The sou.d complication thing? You know. For better sound. It comes with another music player. But same problem

| ROM | AOSP | Odexed | 4.3 | FLO | JLS36G| Perfect Android 4.3.4 | 9-29-2013 |

This is a simple AOSP rom that I'm maintaining for myself and sharing with the community.
Perfect Android is built with the idea of being simple and stable for your Android device.
Based off of Android Open Source Project code, features and fixes are introduced with each build.
If you are looking for something that is more feature developed I would suggest BAMF, CyanogenMOD, AOKP, or ParaniodAndroid, that offers more.
Feature list:
- Full Google experience
- Chrome browser
- Odexed System and Frameworks
- "Clear all" button on recent apps
- Option to remove persistant search bar in Launcher
- Reboot menu
- Power menu Screenshot
- Long press back to kill app
- Volume Button music controls
- Volume Button wake
- Fully customizable Power menu options, which include option to add or remove items
Instructions:
First time flashing device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Optional: adb backup
Fastboot oem unlock > fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash ROM.
ROM: Link
G-Apps (included): At this time there are no "official" g-apps available so I've included what you get stock.
Root (included)
Source: Link
Follow the above link for the complete source to make your own changes or to completely debug down to the core of the rom also follow my github for detailed changes.
Always remember that XDA started out as a great place and will remain a great place as long as we are great to each other anything used in this ROM is available upon request and feel free to use this as a base rom for any other project.
WANT TO CUSTOMIZE THIS ROM READ THIS:
Want to add or remove anything or customize for yourself use DSIXDA's Kitchen. Its a great kitchen for customizing prebuilt ROMs.

That's the idea behind it to be built from source and good as stock, my features are minimal but yeah you'll need to wipe since Google signs there Roms differently than I do
Have to say this is really the perfect rom. Very well thought put blend of features, performance and stability.

[VRTHEME] [WIP] AOSP 4.3 for Stock ROMs v0.9 (Status Bar/Notifications)

Disclaimer: This theme replaces only requisite altered files within themed .apks - currently only LGSystemUI.apk. However, I am not responsible for any replaced/overwritten themes or mods, non-operational devices, or dead puppies. Flash at your own risk.
Note: This is a WIP and is just the beginning (hopefully). I am, by no means, a developer or great themer. I am mostly learning a lot of this stuff as I go and it takes me time - which I do not have a lot of. I do what I can, whenever I get the chance. Updates most likely will be slow. I am fully open to input or help from any who have some to offer; as long as it isn't a suggestion to add such-and-such feature/element. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Anyways, now that the garbage is done...
AOSP 4.3 for Stock ROMs
This project is to bring as much of AOSP elements as possible to G2 Stock ROMs.
Screenshots
Features
Currently modified packages: LGSystemUI.apk
- Changed Status bar and some notification area icons to AOSP icons
- Combined signal/data and arrows icons for wifi and mobile to match AOSP
- Changed clock and date colors to holo blue
- Blacked out notifications area, replaced and resized pulldown handle
- Moved LG-implemented battery percentage inside the battery (CM style)
- One-Finger notification expansion!! (seriously, LG? Two-finger expansion???)
Bugs
- Ticker (ongoing) notifications icons are slightly shrunk. I have been looking into this to discover why and fix it.
To Install:
- Download zip in attachments in this post
- Reboot recovery and flash zip
- Reboot and enjoy!
Currently, this has only been tested on VZW G2 with Malladus ROM. Technically this would work on all Stock-based G2 ROMs, although I know different carrier versions use different images in these apks - which I have not modified yet - so this would not quite look right on other variants. Once I change the rest of the icons, I will update the post reflecting the changes.
A HUGE thanks to:
Okibi for his amazing ROM
Google
CM
Ticklefish for his posts on editing key portions of Android
Enjoy!

I've not actually seen the new dialer yet, but i know they made a lot of functional changes to it. Dialer's cant just be added in as they tie in to deep portions of the OS I am not familiar with. I am hoping to make the G2 dialer layout similar to AOSP.

Thank you. I was thinking about migrating to 4.4, but i have not taken a good look at 4.4 yet. I'll check it out tomorrow and see if it would work better to go that direction since right now it would only involve changing some colors.

Thanks for the pointer. unfortunatly, that seems like alot of things to have to install just to get a different battery indicator. I'd prefer if someone can create a simple flashable zip for it like they have for other indicators.. If they can't, it's not the end of the world and I'll just wait till aokp or someone else has it integrated into a rom..
from a technical standpoint, is there any reason why the circleMOD version of the battery indicator would be any harder to create than any of the other mods?
also, I'm fairly certain that i initially posted this in the themes section.. is there a reason that it was moved to QA/Help/TS instead or did I just accidentally post it in the wrong area?

OmniSwitch flashable zip for 5.1.x ROMs

As the title says, this is a flashable OmniSwitch recents management zip for 5.1.x ROMs. All credit goes to @maxwen for creating OmniSwitch and @czboyshubham for creating this zip originally for 5.0. I simply updated it for 5.1.x so it functions properly on updated ROMs. I did this for Pure Nexus, but it should work on anything as far as I know - let me know if you run into issues and I will update this post accordingly. czboyshubham's original thread for those who wish to say thanks:

For those of you who need or want to assign a shortcut to open OmniSwitch instead of dragging the handle (or do both like I do), here's a link to the apk "Toggle OmniSwitch" by @kikuto that will allow you to assign it as an app shortcut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54078587&postcount=19

Thanks for the update!
This is what I am loooking for.
Thank you.
Love it.
@wrongway213 would you be kind enough to update this zip to have the newest omniswitch? There are a few amazing new features like having the program in vertical mode that I would love to have.

Sure thing. I'll get it done sometime today and update the OP with a new flashable zip. Thanks for the heads up they added new features - been busy lately and have not been tracking Omni's git.
Can this be flashed on 4.4.2 miui Rom. I like omniswitch

Yeah the vertical feature is awesome. It makes it similar layout to slim recents (but much better IMO)

I've been messing with this for like 2 hours and no matter how I package the zip it will absolutely not open OmniSwitch outside of "restricted mode" no matter what I do. This is apparently going to be more difficult than I thought, but I'm still working on getting the permissions working so we can upgrade.. will update the thread as soon as I get it working. The new layout is nice, but I don't think we want restricted mode.. need to get to the bottom of this.

Same issue I was having. I read somewhere that you can use XxX to fix that issue, but I couldn't figure that out either.

Awesome, glad it's running great for you too. What device/ROM you have it running on? Curious if it is working across the board, works great on Pure Nexus for N6 but haven't tested anything else myself. Anyone who uses this, feel free to leave device/ROM info if it works or doesn't - I hope this is compatible with anything, it should be the way perms are set but I am not really sure so confirmation would be cool.

Also on Pure Nexus on N6. Really no reason it shouldn't universally work though.
Thanks wrongway213, running perfectly - with the toggle apk - on my Xiami Xi3 with 5.1.1 with the EOS AOSP ROM. :good:
Thanks for this. Working on my Oneplus One. The kill app button doesn't seem to work though. I'm not able to swipe apps away either.

What ROM/kernel are you running? Does it give you a "restricted mode" notification when you first boot? I was having these issues for the first 20 or so times I tried to package this, but the release I finally put out works outside of restricted mode on my Nexus 6. My kernel is set to permissive as well, if that matters any - definitely curious to see what causes the incompatibility.

I'm using AK kernel with Cyanogen OS 12.1. Yes, I did get the restricted mode notification. I'll try reflashing it after going back to the stock kernel soon.
Thanks.

I doubt AK kernel is the issue. I'm curious if it's a device issue, or more likely that this does not work on stock firmware, only custom ROMs. If anyone has this up and running on the One Plus One, or if anyone has this running on stock, please let me know. My guess is that this will only work on stock AOSP or custom ROMs, but that is just a guess at this point - hoping to get confirmation as more people download and flash. Thanks for reporting, I'll see what I can do once I get more information from other users across devices (hopefully).
Just wanted to let everyone know - this works for M ROMs, at least for Pure Nexus Marshmallow. Enjoy spicing up your M ROMs until features get added, thought I'd have to wait on Omni M
