E-mail is wakeing up smartphone - Samsung Galaxy Core

E-mail native app is waking up smartphone about 1500 times per night. I turned off sync but problem still present. How fix it?

Freeze it. (If you're not using it)

I need E-Mail client to be runed.

If it bugs you that much, just use other email app from play store, then freeze the default email app.

I do not have root. I wish repair default email app.

Ohh, sorry, then unless you get root. You can't really do anything about that.
The wake up issue is really on the email app itself, it doesn't need any fixing.

But email app worked fine for several months. Why it could become damaged?

Here's a couple of things you can do if you really think it's damaged.
-clear its data: go to
Settings-applications-all applications-email-click on clear data.
And
Settings-applications-all applications-exchange services-clear data.
Or
-Flash the stock rom, don't worry it won't remove your warranty. Just look for the guides around the forums.

Do you guys think this app is safeto use

The app is called tikl. Its a push to talk app, I question it because it has access to allot on the phone, more than any app I've ever used before.

I use it with no issues. It uses ur phone number to do a data call. That does use a lot of permissions. Plus waking from sleep. Its a good app

Double notifications

Every time I receive a text message I get two notifications in the bar. It is becoming very annoying and I can't seem to find the settings or app that's causing it. Any suggestions?

Are you using a custom rom? Are you rooted? Are you using a third party messaging application?

Was this occurring before on stock or on a previous rom? Did you do a full wipe when switching to CM7rc1? Did you restore apps?
If you answer No, No, Yes to those questions then here is what you need to do: Full wipe, reinstall the rom do not restore apps through titanium backup or any other third party backup app.
This wasn't occurring until the last few nightlies. I don't use titanium to back my apps up. They resync when I enter my email address. Ill give your suggestion a try

Did you try clearing the gtalk data in Applications and then opening the app to see if it prompts you for an account?

Samsung being sneaky trying to access facebook

So, I get this prompt in my notification menu that says, "Your login session has expired," and then it shows the facebook logo or something identifying it as facebook(I can't remember which.) So, I click it and log back in and it brings me to a screen saying that samsung would like to access my profile, so I click, "close," then the whole app just shuts down. Now maybe when an app tries to access your wall this is just the way facebook responds, but the whole thing just seems kind of shady. It acts as if you had been logged out and you need to log back in, then it just tries to get you press next the whole way through and allow samsung access to your facebook.
Disable SNS and it should stop entirely.

[Q] productivity screen. SMS not working anymore?

Hey,
As mentioned. In my productivity lock screen the message feature for my sms stopped working since the last time I changed the background picture. I changed it since then several times but it doesn't help...
Any ideas?
I'm on stock rom with sense 4+ and android 4.1
Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers

I guess you either have to clear the cache of the sms app or the cache of any lockscreen-related app. Take a look in the app list and clear the cache of what seems the most related to the lockscreen.
Cache cleaning didn't work...
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
What do you get exactly in the lockscreen? No sms or nothing at all (email,. lost calls, etc)?
No just the SMS. Mail, weather etc everything works...

You probably did this but, have you checked the productivity lockscreen options? There you can choose what must be displayed, sms included.
Yeah that's the reason I'm writing. It just stopped working even though checked in the option list. Don't know what it could be

There is also an option in the sms app options. I just noticed this. It should be on by default, though.
Thank you!!! That was it
