Hi,
There is a special thread for reporting problems with the xda app. It is monitored by the people who can help you...unlike the General forum where you may have to wait forever for the right person to find it. Please try reposting your issue here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646
Thanks!

Same issue here - What is the google address?
Having the same problem you've reported here. I'd like to contact google, but I'm a "noob" and couldn't find a contact address on the Google Mobile website, or on the "Google Shopper" page... Am I missing something?
You can do it from the e-mail link on their app page in the Market.

[HELP] Weird problem with gmail

Hi,
Yesterday a really strange issue started with my gmail account, please note that the issue is with the gmail account not the phone ((GizRootv_1), let me explain.
If I configure my android gmail app with my gmail account "user1" the gmail app FCs, however if I configure the phone with a different gmail account "user2" the Gmail App receives, reads and sends email.
I factory reset the phone, add my "user1" account and the gmail app FC, doing the same factory reset the phone and adding "user2" the application works. I can even configure the phone using "user1" for calendar, contacts, etc but gmail and add "user2" only for gmail and it works but as soon as I try to sync "user1" gmail the application crashes, so definitely is something with my "user1" account.
I archive all my Inbox just to be sure that it was not an issue of aan Inbox to big, same problem.
Any advise?
Thanks
Have you tried removing gmail, even manually if you have to and then re installing?

Hello,
Thanks for replying.
Yes I removed Gmail App, reinstalled. I even installed CM7.1 and the problem is the same. My account does not work and two other different accounts I tried worked without issues.
I am almost positive that it is an issue with my gmail account but I ran out of troubleshooting options, factory reset, different ROMS, added my account after factory reset first, last, the problem is alwaysthe same.
Any ideas?

You could try contacting google and see if they can help. I have never heard of this issue myself.

Thanks, I found a few people with the same issue in the Google Support Forums so I will check there and post any outcome of this.
In the Desire Forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848551) someone else posted a similar issue.

Are you able to check that accounts email online? It seems like something is glitched on their server. Maybe messing with the online version will help in some way.

Yes, I am able to check it online, I tried deleting all filters, archiving all e-mail, disabling/enabling IMAP/POP, nothing works.
With IMAP enabled I can use any IMAP client to check Gmail (which I am doing now) however I would like to be able to use the Gmail App as IMO its interface is the best for handling gmail messages.
Maybe I should just let it go and start getting used to another client for gmail but my OCD gene does not let me

I would just contact google and see if it is something they have to fix. You may be trying all this in vain. The fact that other accounts work and it happens on multiple roms tells me it is something on their end.

Don't mention you are running a custom rom.

Ok,
Now google took note of this, here is the link to the thread in the forum, https://productforums.google.com/fo...n-issue/contacts-and-sync/android/cdbYlo6niOg
Thanks for all the help.
This is from the thread, basically report the crash with the email address with issues and the code AGforum0822.

Hi all,
I shouldn't need your email addresses as long as you are posting the crash reports. It would be very helpful for you to switch the crash reports from Anonymous to the email address you are having trouble syncing (just tap the arrow next to anonymous and switch it to the correct account) and don't forget to include the code AGforum0822. This will definitely help us as we work to get this issue resolved.
Thanks!

Yes about a week after I reported the issue.
When Gmail FC you are supposed to report the crash with the following comments AGforum0822 <your-gmail-address>.
In top of that I posted my issue in the forum with Subject "AGforum0822 Gmail Issue", looks like some of them are scanning the forum and taking care of it. Just pingthem if after a few days no one has replied to your post.
Hope this help you.

[Q] What is the purpose of the XDA App if it does not let you log into your account?

Hello,
I'm trying to login to my XDA account using XDA Free (app) from the Google play store. I'm entering my correct credentials on it, but it denies me to login. Wrong username or password.
If it doesn't work, what's the purpose of this app? To piss people off?
I am using my LG Optimus G Pro (Unlocked).
I have paid for the pro version and it has never been any problems with it before. But now when is log in i always get the errormsg Failed to connect to forum please contact forum admin, or similar do not remember exact words. I have reinstalled the app but it did not help. But apparently it am in because it post this text now, so what might be the problem?

[Completed] Problems logging into Swappa w/ XDA account?

I've been having trouble logging into Swappa with my XDA account, which used to work for me. When I go to log in I click the "Sign in with XDA" button, then it brings up an XDA Developers splash screen asking me to if I trust this site and wish to confirm my identity, which I click "Confirm". It then gives me an error on the Swappa page saying "An account exists with the email address, please log in using your email and password."
This is happening on both Safari and Chrome.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or how I could fix this? I used to use this feature to log into Swappa all the time and it's been a little while but I've never had this issue.

What this means is that you already created a separate account using the same username on swappa. You need to do an existing user password reset and then once logged in you can link your xda account to your swappa account from within the profile section on swappa.
Swappa folks can also assist you in any of these steps

[Completed] Every time I use Google+ login, it redirects me to some weird new account, why?

To make it as simple as possible:
I registered my accound and bound it to certain gmail address that I use for basically everything.
When I log in using my ACCOUNT NAME, it redirects me to this account. But when I use GOOGLE+ login form, it logs me into some wierd new account called bill pap CLICK ME, despite the fact that my gmail is bound to Amadeusz90.
What is going on, did somebody try to hijack my mail/XDA account? How the hell do I get redirected to some weird account while using my own e-mail?
Can you give it a look, XDA team? Thanks in advance.
