[Q] What is the purpose of the XDA App if it does not let you log into your account? - XDA Assist

Hello,
I'm trying to login to my XDA account using XDA Free (app) from the Google play store. I'm entering my correct credentials on it, but it denies me to login. Wrong username or password.
If it doesn't work, what's the purpose of this app? To piss people off?
I am using my LG Optimus G Pro (Unlocked).

I have paid for the pro version and it has never been any problems with it before. But now when is log in i always get the errormsg Failed to connect to forum please contact forum admin, or similar do not remember exact words. I have reinstalled the app but it did not help. But apparently it am in because it post this text now, so what might be the problem?

I registered in this site using Google plus Handler, hence is no separate password for this site. The google plus login handler is missing from Android app, thats why not able to login through to xda.

Hi,
There is a special thread for reporting problems with the xda app. It is monitored by the people who can help you...unlike the General forum where you may have to wait forever for the right person to find it. Please try reposting your issue here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646
Thanks!

[Q] Connected accounts?

Hello, I used the Android Device Manager website to try to locate a friends lost phone. He logged into his account on my phone. He found his phone, but now, our accounts are linked or connected somehow. For example, my google (chrome) searches are showing up on his phone.
How can I disconnect them? Thanks in advance.

i wish i could help you, but i looked into my account and i can see the connected devices, but it gives no option that i can find to remove them.
i would bet that either your phone is listed in his account or his in yours. either way im betting this is where it would need to be deleted to disconnect them.
you and he should look into your accounts to see who is causing the issue (whoevers phone is on the others account), then call google and explain the situation to see if they can remove it for you.
googles phone number can be found on their support page. a search for google support should bring it right up.

[Q] Magicjack app error "Your device is not on this account"

Hey guys
I have an old phone (LG Optimus 2X - p999) that I wanted to give away to a friend.
I had installed the Magicjack app when I was using the phone, and now my friend is having problems loging in.
When my friend attempts to login, he gets this error "Your device is not on this account."
The username and password are entered correctly and he's able to login when he's using his tablet.
I was wondering if anyone came across this issue before?
Info:
Phone: LG P999 with Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Magicjack account: free
Bump
It looks like no one had this problem before, eh?
Am I the only one who had this problem?
Or maybe my post was not clear?
It is possible that the license for the MJ app on that phone has expired. You might try to remove and reinstall to update the license. Or you can go to your MJ account to see if you can reactivate that license. Just a thought.

I don't have the account info and password to login to magickjack, and I don't use it anymore.
I've tried to remove the app and all it's data files and re-installed.
I've also tried flashing a different ROM to my old phone and still no go.
My friend wants to use it, but he's not able to login with his account when using my old phone.
Are there any alternatives to Magicjack on the Google play store that don't require you to buy credits?
Yeah, MJ has to be active for the app to work.
You might take a look at testPlus. I think you can subscribe for a year for $20 or watch some videos for credit.
Hope that helps.

[Completed] Problems logging into Swappa w/ XDA account?

I've been having trouble logging into Swappa with my XDA account, which used to work for me. When I go to log in I click the "Sign in with XDA" button, then it brings up an XDA Developers splash screen asking me to if I trust this site and wish to confirm my identity, which I click "Confirm". It then gives me an error on the Swappa page saying "An account exists with the email address, please log in using your email and password."
This is happening on both Safari and Chrome.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or how I could fix this? I used to use this feature to log into Swappa all the time and it's been a little while but I've never had this issue.

What this means is that you already created a separate account using the same username on swappa. You need to do an existing user password reset and then once logged in you can link your xda account to your swappa account from within the profile section on swappa.
Swappa folks can also assist you in any of these steps
