I could get it working with my LG G2 with full notification by installing the following APK of Gear
http://www.mediafire.com/download/yo17ta4qyrx50zj/GearManager1_2.apk
Everything works but S health, Weather and some other touchwiz stuff. But notifications work great.

I know we don't have NFC but what if we use another format of communication system?
S beam uses NFC for initial authentication contact then switches to wifi.
So we just need to switch the initial authentication system. There is another app already that uses ultrasonic waves from phone speakers to authenticate so this is very possible.

That's weird, we have NFC in the AT&T Galaxy Note i717.
Smart Stay will not work because it does not have the sensors required like the S3 does. Same applies to S Beam, as the International Note does not have NFC.

Hey Everybody,
Basically I want my phone to connect to the WiFi when in certain locations (eg. Home, friends house), and disable WiFi when out and about. Same goes for when I'm not at home for mobile data. I want it to enable mobile data when I'm out and disable WiFi when I'm out. I've tried a few apps, like tasker, but it was too advanced for me. Also I've tried condi, but it didn't work too well. Any alternatives you guys have? Thanks in advance. <3

Trigger is a good app. You might have to pay for the full version to get location based stuff though but it was worth it for me. There is also Llama location profiles that I havent used in a long time but it worked good when I had it.
Tasker, Baby! It was too hard in the beginning for me too, but I stuck it out, and now, couldn't live without it.

Llama is easy to set up and free for all features. Uses cell tower locations by default so it won't use any battery even for location based tasks.

Hi!
I´m looking for a good (and preferable free) app that keeps the phone unlocked when the SW2 is connected via bluetooth.
Thank´s for any advice!
Try skiplock.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benhirashima.skiplock
Not affiliated with this app...I use it with my home WiFi and smartwatch 1... Have to enter pin once... And as long as smartwatch stays connected you don't need to enter pin again
sent from my S3.
I use tasker, disable screen security when watch is connected

Yeah skiplock works well but unfortunately is a bit expensive. I was debating whether to buy it but I'm hoping for a cheaper or free alternative
Just use tasker, I have had it working for ages

Problem with this software or the tasker BTNear function, is the battery consumption it requires to track the device.
Here is an alternative solution i made here that take virtually no battery, and root is not needed.
The trick is that it will not track the device itselft, but the notification Android make when the device is connected/disconnected.
here's a step-by-step mini guide to use tasker and smart connect to enable/disable lockscreen
hope it helps
cheers

Nice idea, however smart connect refuse to add action with low energy Bluetooth devices (Sony smartband for example)
A bit stupid because it is smart connect that notifies me if my smartband is connected or not.

I have it working on my Motorola Z2 Force. Systemless root + Magisk hide + Sony framework module + Sony apps enabler. The version Remote Play I am using is the latest from the play store, 2.6.0
If you want it to work on mobile data you'll need Fake WiFi (reworked) which you can get from Xposed.

How did you manage to get remote play to work.? I've used the search button and I've read through about 20+ pages about it and have found nothing. I've landed here before I gave up lol. Can you PM me instructions like how to do it w/ links to necessary files. Or in the very least, a link to the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Um no, actually remote play works with EVERY game... Your probably talking about something completely different, or just being a troll. And NO, remote play WILL NOT work with out root/magisk installed and the Sony dependencies.
