Database Info

City Caller ID APK

Hey guys,
Dunno if it was an F-up on my part, or if i got tricked with the last update, but i somehow uninstalled City Caller ID, the company thats getting sued and had to remove their software from the market place. therefore i cant re DL it. Does anyone have the APK file they can upload and link? I loved their caller id the best. sad to see em go.

+1..I have been looking for the Apk as well, I never got to try the actual App but i hear nothing but great things about it ...hope one comes to the surface..

It should. Make sure you have unknown source s checked under applications checked.

Yeah, I can get it to install and run OK, but then I don't see that it does anything...I've tried all the different configuration settings, but still can never see where/if the city info text appears for the calls.

So all I have to do is just flash that apk on my sim card correct?

Is this like how the iphone shows the city that the number is calling from?
Is this working for you guys?

Yes its exactly like that.
I have the apk, but I recall it being a paid app and I thought we weren't supposed to be posting stuff like that

i dont know if anyone knows about sirius xm app being released so i am letting one know it works great on my nexus with dock so i am posting a linkhttp://www.siriusxm.com/app-download/android/siriusxm.apk

and if it comes up as a zip just rename it .apk for the file extension

Took me a little while to find it after install since the App name in the drawer was "Online", but other than that its been working great for me this morning over WiFi

they only give you a free 7 day trial, then you must subscribe.

It suppose to 3g and wifi but I am running froyo so maybe that is the problem

froyo, holmes.

I'm using Froyo and on 3g it connects to give station listings and let.gr log in, but when I attempt to listen to something complains that I need a data connection.

Worked on EVDO on my Girlfriend's new Samsung Moment I got her today, did not work on T-Mobile 3g on my Nexus one, however I didn't have the greatest reception. Worked great on Wifi though.

I'm on froyo, with cyans root, (needed busybox) and it worked fine over 3g with me.

Do you need to pay extra for the mobile service if you already have an active account with them or is that all you need?

[Q] Oovoo

So i downloaded oovoo from the market only to find that its not supported on the Infuse. And their site doesnt have it as an upcoming supported device either. How hard would it be for someone to get it to work on the Infuse? And who wants to do it? Id be forever grateful and im sure a lot of others would as well.

If you're rooted, you can change the build.prop file. (/system/build.prop)
Change the line ro.product.model=samsung SGH-i997 to
ro.product.model=SGH-T959V (no samsung in front) then reboot, it should work.

Ok, great it works. Have to hold the phone way away from you though for the other person to see not so zoomed in on you. Objects in mirror are closer than they apear LOL

Yeah, I went through a couple of different trial and errors, i tried the i9000 and that turned the video 90 degrees

will this cause issues anywhere else, other apps etc...

thanks, just installed and called my wife, works GREAT!!!

Why does oovoo keep disconnecting or logging out. It also doesn't stay connected when switching wifi to data

It randomly logs me out sometimes when I don't know why but I just deal with it. OOVOO says they're developing for the infuse on their page, but I'm just gonna use this until then.

Ok, this is my first time using oovoo. So this is not normal? Its supposed to stay connected all the time and thru data changes?
I think qik is better. Its always ready to receive as long as its not killed

Im not sure about all those. Its called Qik. I know the iphone app store has it too and can chat android to iphone

Just got an update tango from market. Can't test right now. Wondering if its going to work right with the build.prop edits for oovoo done. Guess well see

[Q] will Gtalk run on 4.4?

Hi,
Quick question regarding Google Talk. I have removed Hanouts from my N5 and installed Gtalk in its place but it won't connect to the Google servers. I had no issues doing this with the my N4 running 4.3, is there something different about 4.4?

Well...somewhat this.
The API on the client-side (your phone) hasn't changed, but the server-side APIs have changed dramatically.

i dunno if there's some backend missing for gtalk on 4.4 to connect with gtalk...
I've been scratching my head trying to figure out what and i'm finding nothing and google does not help, sigh.

Is there a known way to pair with a nexus 5 yet? I know there was on the the GG but what about the GG2? And if so, how?

I know u can pair and use the Neo with LGG2. Thats what Im doing. Works mint.

I could get it working with my LG G2 with full notification by installing the following APK of Gear

Everything works but S health, Weather and some other touchwiz stuff. But notifications work great.
