So I'd have to flash that ROM and it would be like my stock ROM but it's really the Moto X stock ROM?

yes without some stuff from Droid maxx
Yes and no one major issue is on screen capacitive buttons.

since u have bootloader unlocked and twrp recovery yes u can flash any PORTING ROM from Moto x
id u don t like lit u can go back on stock

you can flash any firmware of moto x, but not all with work with signal, check my thread.

Yeah, works the same as stock Droid Maxx except you'll have the onscreen navigation bar thing. I was on it and then flashed the Slim ROM and it's running pretty well.

For the stock ROM I think there is, but not for the custom ROM that I know of.

Any ROMs worth trying?
I assume that due to the locked bootloader and lack of ROOT for JB on this phone, that there are not a lot of ROMs for this phone. I see SafeStrap is available and that seems pretty cool, but are there any ROMs for this phone that are worth the effort? On some phones, the stock ROM sucks and there are ROMs that really make the device shine. On this phone, the stock one seems decent and I don't see many alternatives. Thoughts?

Mine is unlocked bootloader, with CM10 installed.

If u want a solid ROM for the reg xt926. Look for "foot to the floor" Its on another website... just came out with the help of the fuzion guys and 24v. Click to collapse Go into your settings and look at the model number. X926 is the consumer edition, X925 is the dev/international edition. If you have the consumer edition, you can still flash rooms. Download safe strap and flash away in one of the rom slots. If you have the dev edition, you can install clockwerk. If you need help, just inbox me. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using xda premium

You won't be able to flash it as the recovery would check the file signature and if it doesn't match to the model it will reject the files unless you extract and remove it. But don't do it, you will Brick it. Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app

Any other suggestions or settings I could try.
Try restarting the phone. And of course you have to be rooted for it to work.
