There's an HD method posted in this thread somewhere, you'll have to search for it.

Any ROMs worth trying?

I assume that due to the locked bootloader and lack of ROOT for JB on this phone, that there are not a lot of ROMs for this phone. I see SafeStrap is available and that seems pretty cool, but are there any ROMs for this phone that are worth the effort?
On some phones, the stock ROM sucks and there are ROMs that really make the device shine. On this phone, the stock one seems decent and I don't see many alternatives.
Thoughts?
The bootloader Is unlock able from Motorolas website now. I just did mine last night and installed clock work mod.

For the U.S. only the HD dev edition can be unlocked through that site. People should really state that for those that don't know when they post things like this.

Yes, the dev.edition and the International XT925 version can be unlocked.
I am running batakang 1.10 ROM and I'm pretty happy with it.

Hi I'm noob status and am looking for an answer I have probably over looked. How can I tell is I have the dev edition? And if I don't can I still flash custom ROMs onto my phone?

OK I see there's no dev edition MAXX so I guess I don't have one. Still want to know if I can flash custom ROMs though. Thanks.

Go into your settings and look at the model number. X926 is the consumer edition, X925 is the dev/international edition. If you have the consumer edition, you can still flash rooms. Download safe strap and flash away in one of the rom slots. If you have the dev edition, you can install clockwerk. If you need help, just inbox me.

What moto RAZR HD do I have?

Hi guys! A friend of mine wants me to root is moto RAZR HD. I have rooted many devices in the last few years and I am pretty good with directions. After reading the threads here I am curious on how to determine what version of the RAZR HD my friend has. I'm not talking android version more like xt925 or 926. Just want to be sure before I start any processes.

If it has Verizon logo then 926. No logo - 925
You can confirm which version of 925 in about phone section in settings

If you see Verizon on the bottom of the screen, this device are XT926
Oh thanks that's easy!

Why not just leave whatever the original question was? Even if it was "obvious" maybe someone else can get benefit from it.

Yeah, works the same as stock Droid Maxx except you'll have the onscreen navigation bar thing. I was on it and then flashed the Slim ROM and it's running pretty well.
