Hi
I bought TV01(CS968) RK3188T Android TV Box on geekbuying.com
Unfortunately, during the first connection, something snapped in the power supply and the power supply is not working...
What can I do ?
How to get a replacement power supply?
Can I get some specifications of the power supply. I know that is 5V 2,5A AC/DC adapter, but what is the type of connector?
Is it possible to find some replacement adapter in polish online shops?
Please help!
I saw this thread on another site. Hope it helps.

I got my dock today, Is the Docking station suppose to come with a extra power supply?
I thought I had watched a Video Review before purchasing and they said it came with another Power adapter.
Unfortunately not......no cables whatsoever!

no it doesn't, but it should and it should be longer too!
I've just bought this tablet from Amazon.de to be shipped to me in the UK - it's likely to come with a Euro style power adapter, so I need to buy a UK equivalent.
Can someone tell me what the specs of the adapter are?
I'm guessing 5v @ either 1 or 2 amps...?
Thanks!

The charger is quite special I think.
Attached is a picture of mine. (Euro.)
5v @ 2A or 15v @ 1.2A (Yes it has two ratings?)

I have no idea when it runns what though, or even what pins it applies it to. It may be some odd propriatary system...
Edit:
It seems to be related to USB 3.0 and some extra pin.
Normal USB 2.0 plugs will activate the 5v charge, while a USB 3.0 plug with some fiddly shorting or something can activate 15v.
More power through a thin wire
Edit2:
It's the same adapter as for the Prime apparantly.
Ok, cheers.
I guess I'll buy a travel adapter instead - I can use the original psu then, instead of trying to find a replacement straightaway.

Hi guys.
I don't want to carry plenty of power supplies with me while travelling, so I was wondering if I could use the TF300T power supply for charging also my Android smartphone by plugging in a micro usb cable.
Since this power supply also provides 15 volts I'm not sure if this would be a good idea. Don't want to blow up my phone
Has any one tried it yet?
Thanks
it does work
i can confirm that the tf300 charger works on any usb pluggable phone. the charger automatically switches to 5V 2A when a cable, not the Asus supplied one, is inserted.
i have tried it myself and does do the trick. no overheating nor explosion so far.
Hi everyone,
I'm interested in buying a lab power supply for smartphones, tablets and laptops.
I would like to be able to test faulty products without battery or power adapter.
There are many lab power supply's out there and i do'nt know which one to buy.
I did some research on volts/amps but i'm still unsure how much amps a product can handle.
Maybe somebody could share me some of his experiences with lab power supplies?
Here's another question, how can i workout the amps for e.q. an tablet if i only know volts/mah?
I think all smartphones use 1A, correct me if i'm wrong
Thanks.
Hi Guys,
I've recently bought this power bank unit to hopefully charge my tablet while i'm on holiday, however trying it on the tablet seemed to just make the charge light flash quickly and it failed to charge the tablet. I was wondering if it was the voltage output since the ASUS charger says 5-15V chargers, and i'm not sure the voltage output of the bank.
Anyone else use a power bank for this? Any recommendations?
Thanks!
External battery discussion
There was some discussion about this at this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796750&page=4
basically it appears you need a battery that will deliver 12v output to the TF700. A catch being that most of the batteries I've seen use a barrel connector for their 12v output so you need a converter cable.
Best of Luck
Cheers, will check it out.

5v output isn't going to do it. I use the Anker 2nd Gen Astro Pro2. It has a 9/12V output jack. I can't find the thread now, but I learned about it somewhere on a TF700 forum. You will need to cobble up a cable to convert the included output jack cable to USB. I apparently can't post links as a new user, but searching as per info below should locate what you need. Set the Astro Pro2 to 12v, plugin the Anjer included cable to the DC out jack, plug in the adapter cable below to that cable, then the TF700 charging cable to the adapter. Ugly, but it works.
