Hello,
I can't hold it anymore:
I wanted to overclock to 1.5 ghz. So I flashed with Odin to 4.1.2.
Then I installer CWM, BUT, it was a wrong version or something, for 4.2.2.
At first, it only didnt load Recovery Mode, ok.
But after trying again, I get:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
What now? Just use Kies?
I can't access anything, download mode, recovery mode, nothing works.
BUT: Odin still detects it.
It was rooted, so does Kies work then?
EDIT:
Now, I took out the battery for any minutes. I put it back in, and now I am able to go into the download mode.
I hope/think I can fix the problem now. Because the problem came after Odin said it was failed (CWM).

Ok, I am flashing it now with Odin, 4.1.2.
I think it works, thanks for the help.
But I have another question:
Which CWM is safe with 4.1.2? Can you give a topic link?

Then I was right
when you reach the kies warning message, you are able to use Odin also if you don't are in download mode.
and remember, the phone should not be bricked until you can't power on it anymore!
anyway, try to change the USB cable/PC.
when I formatted the PC I also had problems similar like this.

when you flashed the cwm in odin it showed passed? or showed failed? did you put the file in PDA section?
did it reboot itself, or did you interfered? what were the tick status in reparation or auto reboot?
without recovery or download mode, there is nothing much you can do.

if you can't get it connected through Odin, there is flashify app. it can help you flash recovery and SuperSU as well. try it.
sorry maybe you wont be able to get root from flashify..I think it needs root first.. there is framaroot and baidu app as well or kingo root and other few rooting apps for windows which root your device from PC, since you can connect your device to PC, you can root from there
still some how I feel it's a faulty cable. see if you can get it without odin. I once had problem with getting my tab detected on PC, then I tried baidu app that time, it was in Chinese and I had no option or understanding what the app would do, only thing in English was "root" and I got it that time . but it was long ago. I got rid of the old cable and got new and was fine once again.

If u dont get it booted or stuck in a boot logo after flashing firmware with Odin, just go to the recovery and perform a factory reset and you are good to go.
If you want to root your device use kingroot this time it is much safer and faster but you need a PC for it.
If you are interested you can ask me.
Thanks ZTeblade l for the answer, but i end up giving the tablet to a friend of mine i didn't have time to root it,so the thread can close.
Hey guys, so my phone has been going in to boot loops. I would put it in recovery mode and clear the cache partition, that would get it to stop sometimes. Finally I did a factory reset. Now when its trying to set up my phone, it boot loops in the middle of that. So I used ODIN and tried to reinstall the firmware (OJ7), which was successful, but I'm back to boot loops during the phone set up process. Any ideas what to do next?

Have you did any modifications?
I installed an app on my phone that works in collaboration with a game. The app requires the phone to be rooted, but after researching the process to root a phone and the risk of voided Knox on 5.1.1 I decided against it and uninstalled the app. Its possible the app may have done something. But besides that there has not been any mods installed on my phone.
What causes the constant rebooting? Do I possibly have corrupted files that can be replaced with the recovery system? Any ideas would be helpful.

Soooperstar, I appreciate you taking the time to try to help me. I took the phone to the Samsung vendor. She worked on it for 2 hours and couldn't get it to stop going into boot loops. Its being shipped to Samsung now so they can fix it.
Thanks again.
Hello all,
My tablet note 10.1 N8000 (3G, Wi-Fi, 16 GB) suddenly got stuck in bootloop. I was not trying to flash anything when it did so, nor did I flashed anything recently before the bootloop (although it seemed to constantly freeze before the bootloop when trying to switch between my two whatsapp accounts that I have using Titanium Backup which allows creating more than one account in all apps).
I did however root the device when I bought it in 2012 and it was the only time I did so, and I still have USB debugging mode on.
The device would bootloop in the first Samsung logo most of the time, but on rare occasions it would move to the second animated logo and get stuck repeating the animation forever.
I can only access Odin Download mode, but cannot access recovery mode (when I try to do so, it shows the first Samsung logo, then attempts to go into recovery but only shows a lit black screen then reboots).
Here are the steps I did (might help some of you, but unfortunately didn't help me):
1) I tried flashing a custom recovery (CMW, Philz touch, TWRP, and stock recovery) through Odin (Odin 3 version v3.10.6):
- Put the .tar file in AP slot then put device in download mode (power key + volume down), then plug device into my computer.
- Check only auto restart and F. time reset.
- Here's what it says after flashing:
Code:

2) I tried flashing stock rom through Odin:
(Roms I tried: N8000XXCMF1, N8000XXUDOF1, N8000XWALG7, N8000XXCMA2, N8000XXUDOF1)
- I put the .tar.md5 file in AP and follow same steps above, here's what Odin says after flashing:
Code:

I followed everything until the part where I have to access recovery (because I could not access recovery still to flash rom from recovery). Here's what it says in Odin after it's done:
Code:

<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

But again it did not work even though it always says "PASS"! And I also tried flashing stock rom after trying this method through Odin, shows success but still stuck in bootloop.
I don't know what else to try really. I will not take it to support to fix it, either I fix it myself or use it as a cutting board.
If anyone has any ideas please reply. I'm sure there are more things to try.
EDIT:
- Is there a way to clear cache without accessing recovery (since I can't access it)? Lots of people say it worked after clearing cache.
- Is Nand erase all an option? I wish someone would explain it in details instead of telling me not to do it without saying exactly why.
- Could the problem be in hardware? How can I know if so?

HI RHAddict,
It happened to my Note GT-N8000, if a Hardware failure. If you send to SAMSUNG service center it will cost u around US$ 200 for motherboard replacement. But i manage to find a mobile service center, the technician said it only 1 of the chip in motherboard out of service. I got my tablet fixed just US$ 50-60. Now is working as is it before.
TQ
My Samsung 8010 has just gone exactly the same way. Cannot enter recovery mode, just get a blank lit screen for a second then goes back into a reboot cycle and never gets past the Samsung logo. Did you get anywhere with fixing it, or have you given up? Was thinking of taking mine to a service centre, but probably not worth it?
I have an old 8013 Note 10.1 that I let my kids use, it's had CM on it forever and no issues until recently. Now it boots up to the CM bootscreen but doesn't go any further. I've booted to TWRP and tried to format and install a new ROM but it doesn't seem to even format. When I go to load a new ROM it always shows that the internal storage is the same free space (something like 513Mb). I've tried flashing PhilzTouch, TWRP, CWM, and when I reboot to recover it's still the same version of TWRP I started with. Tried flashing a stock ROM, still boots to the CM Logo. Loaded ODIN on my computer and tried flashing a stock image using ODIN and it shows it's successful, but nothing changes on the tablet. I even tried the instructions listed in this post, which should reformat everything and still - same issue.
I've attached a few screenshots of the kinds of errors and messages I get in TWRP when I try to format, do an advanced wipe of everything and still a new ROM. Any suggestions would be great! I'm ready to give up on this thing, but I still have a sliver of hope.

As I think I mentioned, I've tried. Just to be clear I've added some screenshots and output from ODIN.

Looks like everything is flashing just fine... until I reboot the tablet and get the CM Boot logo again and the tablet just gets stuck there...

Cyanogenmod boot animation and just stuck there... just like ODIN never happened.
Try doing Odin but check Nand erase all, if you know what that does it should wipe what's holding your tablet back and then flash stock firmware, just hope it works, I don't know anything else really
