Hi, I have a Nexus S and was days ago I started to go out, when I have to turn it off manually.
It started since I install a KitKat Rom and no longer do, I'm desperate.
It is the only mobile I have and is the best I've had, that's why I ask for your help :crying::crying::crying:
Try to wipe the whole ROM and just install the basic softwares and see if it still reboots.

Can you give a logcat when it reboots?
Does it switch off suddenly and starts OR just reboots directly?

What do you mean by doesn't start?
Your title is misleading then.
Anyways, there could be a hardware problem or your OS is corrupt. What ROM are you currently using?

Just to make things sure, go to stock Jellybean using factory images. This will make sure that your OS is clean.
Then see if the problem still persists. I guess that changing ROMs has played a role in this.

So this rules out software issues.
I can't comment much on the dying part.
Can you check if the battery is loose? That can also be a reason for reboots.
Try a new battery or put some paper to keep it firm in place.

Hi,
I'm looking for a build.prop from either on of the new Verizon Droid Ultra/Maxx/Mini phones.
I do realize that they are just about to be released (today or tomorrow ), would be great to get one rather sooner than later
Thanks

I think our best option is to wait for root and someone get the build.prop file... But this should work for now. Just can't remember what three are important.

I'm guessing it is case sensitive. I got it to work on my s4 then i was going to log my wife's account on here also but it didn't work for hers so im trying it on her s3 but it's running synergy and idk if the build is taking since they have a lot of edits in there
Edit: Nvm I had the m capitalized. That apparently made a difference. But also clearing data may have done it... Anyways thanks again, tho I should have waited until hitting 7 or 8. Oh well.

As per I know its a known bug and many users are affected by it, I think it happens because some app is using ur camera in the background.
Try to restart ur phone in safe mode and see.
To start ur phone in safe mode get to the power menu and then long press the power off and then ok.
Is your camera working right now?

Same issue. Looks like it's affecting a lot of users with various ROMs randomly and Google says they've been working on a fix.
Hi guys,
I have a problem with the app installation(from unknown source).
In fact, this is the first time.
I tried to install Blinkfeed launcher(works on unrooted and rooted phones) but from some reason I can't.
99% of people install the application normally like any other app.
I wonder if there is a way to do something in settings or something...
Thank you in advance

Hello everyone.
I just tried to run Ubuntu on nexus 5 using complete Linux installer and android vnc viewer.
Everything goes OK and on terminal emulator it is fine.
But at the time to connect in vnc android viewer even after I followed all steps it says
"Vnc connection failed.
Failed to connect to localhost/127.0.0.1(port 5900).
Connect failed :ECONNREFUSED (connection refused)"
Plz help what can I do after that....
i dont know what the issue is, but just last week or the week before they said that they arent working on the project anymore and wont support it anymore.
OK but it should work at present state.because it is still in play store

Dunno then... Something must have gone wrong in setup if you've rebooted and still the same.
Or try a different image. The latest version definitely works. I checked it very recently. I didn't keep it though. It's no better than was 2 years ago really. Just not really useable. Maybe with a mouse if that's possible.

Linaro kernel

Mahdi ROM with linaro kernel
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
And does it support loop devices correctly? I would rule out kernel by switching to elementalx temporarily. That's because I know elementalx works but I don't know about linaro. If it works for you, you know Kernel needs tweaking. If not, you rule out kernel.
If still not working, delete all your downloaded scripts and uninstall the apps and start again from scratch.
