Nexus 5 frequent"Can't connect to camera" error - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am running stock rooted 4.4.2 and it seems that after the phone has been on for a few hours the camera will suddenly stop working. A reboot fixed the error but it can be annoying when you need to take a picture. Any thoughts on the issue or possible fixes? Thanks in advance.

As per I know its a known bug and many users are affected by it, I think it happens because some app is using ur camera in the background.
Try to restart ur phone in safe mode and see.
To start ur phone in safe mode get to the power menu and then long press the power off and then ok.
Is your camera working right now?

I think that is why qcamera-deamon is not on the battery stats also your battery stats have resettled.
when next time this occurs, try at that time.

Same issue. Looks like it's affecting a lot of users with various ROMs randomly and Google says they've been working on a fix.

either drain the battery then delete the batterystats.bin file in /system/ then reboot and charge or charge it completely, delete that file, reboot, then charge some more. 2 or 3 cycles of this will help it make it more accurate.

Check your max clock frequency and lower it. Sometimes, it can also be the rom that is unstable for your phone.

In my situation the biggest wakelockers were juicedefender (disabled) ant gtalk (frozen).

Adapt Sound - it plays a series of beeps (both high and low frequency) and asking if you can hear them. This way the phone can map the capacities of your specific headset and fine-tune its output for optimal sonic experience.

Nexus S Turn Off by itself

Hi, I have a Nexus S and was days ago I started to go out, when I have to turn it off manually.
It started since I install a KitKat Rom and no longer do, I'm desperate.
It is the only mobile I have and is the best I've had, that's why I ask for your help :crying::crying::crying:
Try to wipe the whole ROM and just install the basic softwares and see if it still reboots.

Your title is misleading then.
Anyways, there could be a hardware problem or your OS is corrupt. What ROM are you currently using?

Just to make things sure, go to stock Jellybean using factory images. This will make sure that your OS is clean.
Then see if the problem still persists. I guess that changing ROMs has played a role in this.

So this rules out software issues.
I can't comment much on the dying part.
Can you check if the battery is loose? That can also be a reason for reboots.
Try a new battery or put some paper to keep it firm in place.

YouTube WONT open

YouTube appears to be broke on my phone. Which is weird because I haven't seen a single thread so far about this issue. It works fine on my mom's Moto X however.
Running Franco.kernel-r35 PA-4.1BETA 2
I tried wiping data and cache for the app, converting to system → user → system, uninstalled all together, tried the dog bone Version of YouTube too and that crashes too and downgrading to the version before the dog bone made it work.
Sooooo thinking maybe the latest update would work finally I updated it and boom back to square one. Does anyone have issues with the latest version of YouTube like I do?
I have seen similar reviews on Google play saying it won't open and force close before it starts up.
