Hi guys,
I have a problem with the app installation(from unknown source).
In fact, this is the first time.
I tried to install Blinkfeed launcher(works on unrooted and rooted phones) but from some reason I can't.
99% of people install the application normally like any other app.
I wonder if there is a way to do something in settings or something...
Thank you in advance

You will be informed that the application is not installed
Restart your device

There is an Xposed module that hides the fact that you're rooted from apps that check, it's called RootCloak. I've never used it so I can't vouch for it, but I'd at least look into it.
Damn. I just tried the app, it's a no go

Sorry but I gotta ask, you do have Xposed Framework installed right? And you rebooted after installing the module?

Just search for it. You need Xposed Framework so find that xda thread. Once you've installed it, you can find RootCloak in the downloads section of the Xposed installer app.

Nice and smooth, good battery life and a decent amount of features. Well done Cameron581!

I'm assume since SlimKat uses CAF code (far as I remember) I would guess this ROM uses a CAF kernel too?
Thanks

Nice. Good to see that you are building for this device as well. Always high quality. I'll give this a spin later today.
I'm currently running test build for deb..I got it from Google+ site... everything is working fine here,no FC or random reboot on my deb..
works great with ElementalX kernel.. bootloop when i tried with glitch and also some apps keep FC if I switch to ART..
BTW.. I really enjoyed this Rom .... :good:

Hello everyone.
I just tried to run Ubuntu on nexus 5 using complete Linux installer and android vnc viewer.
Everything goes OK and on terminal emulator it is fine.
But at the time to connect in vnc android viewer even after I followed all steps it says
"Vnc connection failed.
Failed to connect to localhost/127.0.0.1(port 5900).
Connect failed :ECONNREFUSED (connection refused)"
Plz help what can I do after that....
i dont know what the issue is, but just last week or the week before they said that they arent working on the project anymore and wont support it anymore.
OK but it should work at present state.because it is still in play store
Does your vnc look like this?

Dunno then... Something must have gone wrong in setup if you've rebooted and still the same.
Or try a different image. The latest version definitely works. I checked it very recently. I didn't keep it though. It's no better than was 2 years ago really. Just not really useable. Maybe with a mouse if that's possible.

Linaro kernel
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Mahdi ROM with linaro kernel
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
And does it support loop devices correctly? I would rule out kernel by switching to elementalx temporarily. That's because I know elementalx works but I don't know about linaro. If it works for you, you know Kernel needs tweaking. If not, you rule out kernel.
If still not working, delete all your downloaded scripts and uninstall the apps and start again from scratch.

It's just me or in your signature it's only a plain text, I mean there is no links apart for "Philz Touch Recovery" only, not for "SlimKat | ElementalX kernel"...
Oh yeah. My signature was too long so had to remove links. Anyway, easy to find in the index threadq or dev section.

It can be done, I'm on att right now with just 3g service. I used an unlock service on Ebay. I think the ebayer frequents this site. Seems like a good dude.
Notice the imei# starts with 99....I had to freeze 'system update' hands free activation so it wouldn't loop constantly.

Hey guys, look at this. I'm using lte discovery and look at the following snapshot.
What exactly is this telling me?
I have the network mode on automatic. I think it's an APN problem but when I tried to change the APN I can't enter nor delete any of them on the list. Can this be fixed?

Sent from my SM-N920P using XDA Free mobile app
No maybe yes?? See above comments. Lte discovery is showing that band 17 is being seen but data isn't working. I tried changing the apn but it's all jammed up not allowing me. Right now I'm on one of the roms maybe that is what's causing the problem. I'm not sure what to make of this......a little above my head to figure out. When the phone finally sees lte, 3 odd apns pop up in the menu but it doesn't help even if you change the apn.
