Hello everyone.
I just tried to run Ubuntu on nexus 5 using complete Linux installer and android vnc viewer.
Everything goes OK and on terminal emulator it is fine.
But at the time to connect in vnc android viewer even after I followed all steps it says
"Vnc connection failed.
Failed to connect to localhost/127.0.0.1(port 5900).
Connect failed :ECONNREFUSED (connection refused)"
Plz help what can I do after that....
i dont know what the issue is, but just last week or the week before they said that they arent working on the project anymore and wont support it anymore.
OK but it should work at present state.because it is still in play store
Does your vnc look like this?

Yes exactly same..

Dunno then... Something must have gone wrong in setup if you've rebooted and still the same.
Or try a different image. The latest version definitely works. I checked it very recently. I didn't keep it though. It's no better than was 2 years ago really. Just not really useable. Maybe with a mouse if that's possible.

Yes I tried Ubuntu 13.10 and archlinux still no luck.
What can I do?

Is it necessary that WiFi must be enabled or just any other condition...?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Should work under all conditions. What kernel do you have?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Linaro kernel
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Mahdi ROM with linaro kernel
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
And does it support loop devices correctly? I would rule out kernel by switching to elementalx temporarily. That's because I know elementalx works but I don't know about linaro. If it works for you, you know Kernel needs tweaking. If not, you rule out kernel.
If still not working, delete all your downloaded scripts and uninstall the apps and start again from scratch.

It's just me or in your signature it's only a plain text, I mean there is no links apart for "Philz Touch Recovery" only, not for "SlimKat | ElementalX kernel"...
Oh yeah. My signature was too long so had to remove links. Anyway, easy to find in the index threadq or dev section.

Nice I don't know if it's already fixed , or if it's an aosp browser bug/glitch but the transiction from browser to another app/home is a bit flickered , like seeing 3 times the browser page in that black screen transiction (when it must be all black) anyone can try that ?

Ok, when I go to install the rom on cwm, when I install from sd card, it just shows the options
/0
/legacy
/obb
0 is my ds card, but don't I need to install the Ron on the root. If so then this is my root and I don't know how I can push a file to show with these three folders. Looking forward to trying the rom though
On the stock ROM, Spotify would resume playing once I enter my car and the phone establishes a bluetooth connection. This no longer happens on Omni. Anyone know how to get it back to stock behavior?
Also, is the default auto brightness settings the same as stock?
Lol nice thread but as your titles says it is q&a.
Does the ROM carry anything over that is specifically Google owned, such as the keyboard , camera, and especially the GEL launcher?

Nope and when it's ready it'll be merged with the builds
I know there are a few unofficial builds already with it included, how unstable is MW atm? Anyone tested it on this device?

I guess it's unstable enough not to be included...
Do you think devs will not include it AS A it's correctly usable? Be patient.

Hi all,
After flashing this rom, my google hangout cannot login into my gmail account. It says that I do not have permission. I have tried 2 different google accounts and has the same issue.. I have wiped and re-flashed the rom and got the same issue. Is anyone else having the same issue? Or am I missing something?

There is an Xposed module that hides the fact that you're rooted from apps that check, it's called RootCloak. I've never used it so I can't vouch for it, but I'd at least look into it.

Just search for it. You need Xposed Framework so find that xda thread. Once you've installed it, you can find RootCloak in the downloads section of the Xposed installer app.

Hi, I have a Nexus S and was days ago I started to go out, when I have to turn it off manually.
It started since I install a KitKat Rom and no longer do, I'm desperate.
It is the only mobile I have and is the best I've had, that's why I ask for your help :crying::crying::crying:
Try to wipe the whole ROM and just install the basic softwares and see if it still reboots.

What do you mean by doesn't start?
Your title is misleading then.
Anyways, there could be a hardware problem or your OS is corrupt. What ROM are you currently using?

Just to make things sure, go to stock Jellybean using factory images. This will make sure that your OS is clean.
Then see if the problem still persists. I guess that changing ROMs has played a role in this.

So this rules out software issues.
I can't comment much on the dying part.
Can you check if the battery is loose? That can also be a reason for reboots.
Try a new battery or put some paper to keep it firm in place.

Hi guys,
I have a problem with the app installation(from unknown source).
In fact, this is the first time.
I tried to install Blinkfeed launcher(works on unrooted and rooted phones) but from some reason I can't.
99% of people install the application normally like any other app.
I wonder if there is a way to do something in settings or something...
Thank you in advance
