LG G2 D80020c AT&T ONLY Kit-Kat Firmaware - AT&T LG G2

Here is the D80020c 4.4 .tot and .dll for AT&T D800 ONLY. This will not retain root and will wipe all your data and internal sdcard. Make a back-up of your important items before preceeding.

***Quick Questioned Answered***
1.Can be flashed over D80010d and D80010o firmware
2.You will lose Root
3.NO WAY TO ROOT YET
4.You can use Lg Flash Tools to go back to 10d,10o.
Download:
1. LGFlashTools v1.5 - Download
2. Drivers - Download
3. Download the LGD800AT-01-V20c.zip (Mirrior)
Extract to a folder on desktop. There will be 2 files(.tot, .dll)
Credit to @madmack for making most of this Guide for the G Pro Which also works on our G2.
Credit to @hyelton for the original write up in the General section here.
Install:
1. Install the LG drivers downloaded above.
2. Install LGFlashTools v1.6 (but don't run it)
3. Extract the TOT and .DLL file from the ZIP
Drivers initialization:
1. Put the phone into download mode. (Turn off device PRESS VOL UP while plugging in the micro usb cable. If this doesn't work, try holding both volume keys instead)
2. Let the phone initialize and install the drivers. Once done, in Device manager, you should see the LG phone listed under COM ports (something along these lines).
3. Find that LG entry in Device Manager, click on Properties, Advanced and then change the COM port to COM41 and close/save.
4. Unplug your phone! Important step.
LGFlashTools:
To get this tool to work, you'll need to do a few tricks.
1. Set the computer's date to some time in July 2012 or before.
2. Disconnect the internet
3. Find a serial number or register key from somewhere on the web (a google search for lgflashtools serial will yield some results). Can't help you here and please don't share any keys in this thread or get us in trouble.
4. Execute the LGFlashTools. It should ask you for a key, put it in. Now you should see a dialog where you can load the DLL file and the TOT files that you extracted earlier. Put them both in here. Click ok
Flashing:
5. There is a yellow arrow on the top left. Click on it to initialize the process. Once done, it should say "ready/finished" or whatever.
6. Put the phone in download mode again, and plug it into the USB port. LG FLash Tools should start flashing it automatically. When it's done, it'll automatically reboot into your stock AT&T rom and all of your data and internal sdcard files will be gone.

I believe you can flash this from D80010o. I think I did it once to verify, but it was a long night. There is no root or recovery unless you count the stock one.Yes and yes.

Thanks again @bigfau. I flashed this morning at it's running excellent! Any thoughts on 10q?
@srk_srinivas, this does wipe your phone, so be sure to backup first. I know it's been said before, but I've seen people miss that point many times.

It'll be a while before that. We had zero support for OMAP4 in CM, and merging it in will have to be done carefully to avoid breaking everything else. The only thing I merged in already was the bootimage-building stuff, in order to get CWM out there.

I also had this problem but after about 2 hours i managed to update my phone: here how i did the update:
Just connect to internet then immediately disconnect from internet within 1 or 1.5 seconds the program just needs to confirm that there is an established connection, i used this (my own) trick and I successfully updated my LO3D froyo to GB using kdz
Keep in mind that you need to connect to internet only for 1 second then DISCONNECT internet
Good luck

Power off the phone and press Power + VOL Down + 3D as you usually would to get into recovery. From there you follow the steps to factory reset your device.

I was running GB rooted. No custom ROM just rooted.
I saw the update, so I wanted to start fresh. I reset the phone, installed the update (lost root, as expected), went to apply root with Megatron Root Exploit, and it would not allow me to obtain root. Kept getting an error about directory not found. Don't recall the exact error.
I am currently running the ICS update with no issues, but would like to be rooted as I am missing a few apps that require root.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am still a bit of a noob. I have only rooted once.
It appears form the link you posted that this is installing a custom rom. That is not what I am looking to do. Previously I was running GB, stock, just rooted to be able to freeze some apps and use a few apps that required root. That is all that I am looking to do at this point too.
ICS is loaded and running fine. Is there a way to get root back with out flashing and installing custom roms? or is this something that the hasn't been figured out yet?
Thanks again for your time and patience with me

so what rom you are on? ICS or GB?
if you are on ICS
than only follow the Root steps there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191698&highlight=baseband
How to root:
1. Download Su_Bbox_1.20.2_gazhead_signed.zip and save it somewhere in your SD card
2. Use OS_Hacking's tool to install Wkpark's v1.25a bootloader (read his instructions and install OMAP driver first). After this step, your boot-up LG logo will be silver!
3. With the same tool install a GB recovery. (ICS recoveries are only for xbsall's ported SU760 ROM, they can't read your internal SD)
4. Boot into recovery
5. Flash the zip from step (1) and reboot
Root?

[FIRMWARE] Flash KitKat the EASY Way!!!! or Go back to JellyBean

KitKat the EASY Way!!!!
Or, go back to 4.2.2 JellyBean
If you are going to return your phone back to warranty, I would suggest this method in this thread as it does a COMPLETE wipe of your device and puts it back to 'Factory'. It removes Root Flags so it does not show having been rooted, and removes ALL data.
Disclaimer: This is not MY method, but a method I used. The information and files have been figured out over time by many individuals and it's been combined in this thread.
This thread is to help Noobs AND Veterans to flash their ATT D800 LG G2 to KitKat. This will be very spelled out, and I’ve even included a video (see below), so NO Mistakes. Yes, that means you!
PLEASE refer to the Video Below before asking questions, as too many questions get a little overwhelming.
Warning! Please Read!
This WILL erase everything on your phone and put it back to FACTORY STATE, so be sure you’ve backed up!
Ok, first thing you need to do is download the version you want. I’ve got KitKat 4.4.2 version D80020c, and I’ve got JellyBean 4.2.2 version D80010o. These are VERY LARGE files, so be patient, although I am able to get as much as 6MB/s download speeds from this server.
BIG THANKS TO bigfau for the KitKat TOT and DLL files!!!
Download Installer - KitKat 4.4.2 D80020c - This Flashes Stock KitKat, WITHOUT Root, and WITHOUT Recovery. - Use TowelRoot and AutoRec to get Root and Custom Recovery. - Single File LARGE archive. KK MIRROR DOWNLOAD
D80020c Split Archive Download - This is the same archive as above, but split into smaller pieces for easy download.
Download Installer - JellyBean 4.2.2 D80010o - Single File LARGE archive. JB MIRROR DOWNLOAD
D80010o Split Archive Download - This is the same archive as above, but split into smaller pieces for easy download..
Download Installer - JellyBean 4.2.2 D80010d - This is for those who want to install Custom Recovery and not update to KK... - Single File LARGE archive.
Now, for the fun stuff (You may want to print this out for reference and check them off as you go)

1. Be sure your phone is currently running a Compatible based ROM. If not, please flash a Custom Compatible Based ROM onto your phone. (ie: If you have a D800, be sure you have a D800 ROM on it. If you have a D802, be sure you have a D802 based ROM on it.)
2. Be sure you have turned on USB Debugging before starting.
Step #1: Program Installation:

13. If successful, you will see ‘READY!!’ on ‘Port 1 (COM41)’
14. If you DON’T see ‘READY!!’, you may need to start over
15. If you see ‘READY!!’ unplug your phone from the USB cable and Plug it right back in. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON YOUR PHONE. It should STILL be in Download Mode.
16. The LG FlashTool progam will now start flashing your phone!!
17. At around 80%, the program will restart your phone.
18. It takes a while for the phone to restart, but it will boot to Android. Wait for the flash program to finish and it will turn your phone back OFF. And give you a ‘SUCCESS”
19. Close FlashTool
IF for some reason, the LG FlashTool does not finish 100%, and you get a ‘Fail’, as long as your phone has now rebooted into Android, you don’t need to worry about this. Just close the program, and enjoy your Freshly Restored LG G2!
For anyone having issue with the device check not passing due to mismatched device (caused by flashing a Custom ROM with Different device model ID to your D800: ie, D801 to a D800 or vice versa.), try using the attached dll file instead of the device specific one. It has been reported to work for many... You will need to extract the zip file to get the dll.
good stuff bud!
Thanks SuperSport. I have added a link to your thread in my guide.
Can we get an installer for 80100d . It will be easier for newbies
Just so you know, in step #4 you have 4.4.2 twice But great job man! You might want to use the 10d 4.2 as that is the one that recoveries work best with. Just a thought.

Thank you for that. FIXED.
EDIT: Why is 10d easier? Is it due to the script in ioroot22? I keep flashing 10o, then use ioroot22, then use FreeGee to install TWRP. Easy Peasy. BUT, I might have modified ioroot22 script for that, I don't remember ATM.
You my friend are a very nice person lol. Taking the time to put this together.

I haven't had my G2 very long so I haven't been able to test myself, but just looking around the forum seems the 10o firmware causes boot issues with some custom ROMs. I could be wrong though. Maybe the problem doesn't exist anymore and I'm reading old info.

Ioroot and then freegee TWRP route works on 80100o. Unfortunately, flashing ROMs (stock based and flex based especially) causes issues. I do not think anyone figured out the reason but going to 80100d solves the issue.

So I understand... If you flash Stock 10o, then Root and Flash Custom Recovery, you have issues flashing other ROMs? But if you Flash back to Stock 10d, you do not have issues flashing Custom ROMs?
Also, FYI: ioroot23 was just released... I don't know if that will make a difference. It has 10o support built in.

Yes that is correct.
I am not sure if rooting was an issue. It was the recovery that seemed to be the issue. Not sure though and I guess since 10d worked not many people bothered to investigate further.

i can confirm this is true. i lg flash tool'ed back to 10o, while i could get root i couldnt get twrp or philz recovery to work. when i went back to 10d with lg flash tool, i could get root and recovery to work. i even loki'd a couple recoveries and the recoveries wouldnt only give me a black screen when i tried to enter them on 10o. and i used ioroot23 to do all of this with.
Is this tool safe to use if the phone shows rooted after you go into download mode? Although I swore I unrooted the phone.
Took a chance and did this anyway and all is good. Upgraded successfully! Thank you so much for providing this tool! It was such a pain searching for a serial for lgflashtool. Will be donating asap for the help. Thank you thank you thank you. Directions were perfect as well and very easy to follow.
Downloads not working for me... 68% complete is furthest I've gotten. Tried seven or 8 times.

Success! after using this I called AT&T and they pushed me another small update then after that the kitkta update. I know there's no recovery available yet right?
Sorry Everyone, I've been out of town and only on my phone, but mostly busy with family stuff.

I'm sorry, I have been away from home. Just read this. Yes, you are fine if your phone is rooted. This Flash will remove Root. As mentioned in the First post, there is currently no way to root KitKat, (Unless I've missed something since last night). So root, then go to KitKat.

That is Correct, no Custom Recovery. Not unless something has appeared since last night when I last went through the forums.
Usefull guide thanks
but i think there is not a difference between those Flash DLL i had 20130904 and just freshy flashed KitKat
also if anyone cares about a LG Flash tools "PASS" then while it stops on 80-94% and boot into OS itself, do a Factory Reset of phone and it will check a Factory Flag (it sets to 5) and gives message a PASS

[Q] Bricked Nexus 5? :( Need your help guys

Hi everyone, ( Newbie here)
Pardon me if something similar has already been posted before. I have major issues with my Nexus 5 which gave up on me a day back.
THe phone wont boot up and is stuck at the google logo.
I went through a few troubleshooting steps with the google technicians. We tried recovering it but that didn't work either, nor a hard reset. I dont see the dead android show up after which i can wipe the entire data and do a factory reset.
The USB Debugging feature on my phone was switched off so now if i try to unlock the bootloader using adb i can't. It says erasing but does nothing. I waited for about 25min and gave up on that.
I downloaded the stock android OS from the google website and also have adb and all the drivers installed.
Is there anyway i can get this thing up and running again? Anything at all?
Please help
fastbooting
Well the only thing I can come up with is to boot your phone into fastboot. First turn off your phone then press the power+volume down or power+volup+voldwn and then there should be a screen with an android laying on its back. If you can get that far well continue but if you can't then you can send in your phone
Sounds like you're trying to use adb commands when you should be using fastboot commands

I tried doing that but the recovery mode wont work. I only see a blank screen when i try to get into recovery mode. I dont care about my data anymore. I just hope for the phone to come back alive. How i wish the usb debugging was on
Usb debugging is irrelevant when the phone is off. If you hard power the phone off by holding power button for like 10 secs, try holding just volume down while powering up

It could not void your warranty. This is how LG would reflash your phone. You will find lg flashtool, dll for D820 and the firmware for D820 32Gb in my lg flashtool thread. You have to use the converted firmware. Dont worry about that it is converted. It was tested by numerous people and never got any negative response.

Worst case scenario is that LG flashtool will stop with Erase command failed error. Google will replace your phone does not matter what happen.

You dont have to install anything to your phone. If lg flashtool will be successful then your phone will be like that when you first turned it on.

The converted one says USE AT OWN RISK . Why so ? I will have to download the 32GB one right? One more question.. what are TOT's ? or TOT file? And there are 2 files inside the 32 GB one.. Which one should i download? The first or the 2nd?
THanks

I should remove the use at your own risk message since it have been confirmed that they dont do any trouble. Tot is the file format of the LG's firmware file format.

As promised,
here above you have some TOTs just created and only for Development use
This image files are been created in Stock bootloader locked mode, but should be the same as unlocked mode for sure.

Waiting @tungkick to have a way to always go back, but i'm pretty sure if you flash only recovery TOT for example, you don't have any risk of brick nothing

I have a bricked v20 and I have tried flashing this .tot and the other posted in this forum and I keep getting error messages at 9% on all attempts on two windows machines. Any ideas on what this issue could be? I am using LGUP version 1_14_3. Is this the latest build or the build compatible with the V20? Drivers were latest I could find also using the LG common.dll which I needed for LGUP to recognize the V20. This is my only way out of brick I think. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

mate, as of today, i have read that there is no dll file for the v20. i.e there is no updated dll file to recognise the v20 in lgup.
u might want to wait a bit longer before u can unbrick your phone.

Not good news.. it is just the dll? I mean i knew it had to be a missing piece because it was ready to flash. Every file failed at the same time. If anyone hears anything please post here or PM me just for a heads up. Im sure a few other desperate souls out there are anxiously waiting. Any reason the flash tools are incomplete? It doesnt seem like a big deal. Can someone here in the forum make one? Just couious.. i would gladly donate. Thanks for the info.

I don't think the flash tool is meant to be public, so they are probably leaked files.
I have a soft bricked LG V20 and have tried the LGUP DLL for every LG phone model I could find. The most progress I got was with the LG G5 dll and it only went to 10%.

not really sure as i am new to LG.
been reading up on xda relating to flashing and rooting (i came from samdung phones) this baby. i think being patient here is what you can do at the moment.also, not only the dll file is missing, i read twrp is not saving backup properly due to the new security protocols in place android 7.0.
take heart mate,i know it sucks to have a bricked phone.
all im getting is "Unknown Model"
Managed to soft brick my H918 as well, so if anyone working on this needs a tester, I'd love to get my phone back.

I appreciate it, wish I'd seen that the day before. I tried to go back to stock recovery to see if that would fix my boot loop issue, so, without access to TWRP, I'm hosed until we have a method to reflash recovery from Fastboot or Update modem connection..
I am screwed as well, I messed my phone up too, and when I turn my phone on it automatically goes the to the upgrade mode screen, I want to through away this damn phone, hehehe.
