Flash the stock FTF..
It would do.. :good:
Thanks for Replying
But I'm asking if there's some other way around
I believe that wiping delvik's cache would make my phone work again and I want to give it a try
Because I don't have CWM, I can't do via the mentioned ways
I wonder if there's some way like using adb or flashtool to wipe cache only

That I understood
But I don't want to lose my data
And that's the reason I'm looking for some alternative solution
Like using adb or some sort of file manager that would show me the partition if I connect in fastboot mode
Also
is it possible to install cwm now
using adb if it can be connected in fastboot mode ??
Any help is greatly appeciated

try flashing ftf with wipe data unchecked. if that doesn't work, you don't have a choice.

Can I install CWM now
I think I can still connect my phone in fastboot mode
And once I successfully install CWM, I can boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache
Is it possible ??

Yes, you can flash a kernel through fastboot mode provided you have unlocked bootloader,,
Then go to CWM and wipe dalvik cache..
If that doesn't work, then flash ftf with unchecking the tick mark before WIPE option..
Hope that helps!!

Bro,
Flash this CWM Recovery through SP Flashtool and in your PC shut down every other things only Flashtool running.
Then Flash any other ROM through the Steps Mentioned Below:-
First Wipe Factory Reset.
Wipe Cache Partition.
Advanced --> Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Mount & Storage --> Format System + Format Data + Format Cache.
Then Flash Any ROM and Then Wipe Dalvik Cache again.
Then Reboot System.
Now Do this Process and Let me know the progress. You will get better result.

HI,
I unlocked the bootloader for Motorola XT890 and installed Jellybean ROM. I had to install CWM to get root access. After installing CWM, i am stuck in CWM recovery mode. The phone reboots into CWM recovery. Would appreciate any help as i have tried flashing ROM's but it gets aborted , exitrecovery, delete cache etc.
Maybe try resetting your phone so you remove CWM. Try to reset CWM if you can. If you can't you should just erase the recovery and reflash it with fastboot.

Hey sauravrc!, do you solve this?
I´m in the same situation, my XT890 only reboot into CWM automatically... and if I try to access to Recovery option since the Bootloader only loads the M logo (Motorola logo).
Please, any suggestion to do? Remind I don´t have access to Android OS.

Not sure how CWM is working on the N5. Fastboot flash TWRP 2.6.3.4, and try it there.
If twrp doesn't work you can always flash just the cache.img. You won't lose anything on the phone
fastboot flash cache cache.img.

So you had a problem and thought wiping everything would fix it or you don't know why wiping everything would cause a problem?

So when doing the advanced wipe you wiped everything? Surely it was obvious that wiping 'system' and 'internal storage' would result in this. Use adb to push a ROM zip to your phone so you can flash it.

I have a custom rom downloaded. But to flash it, I need to erase everything. That I am unable to do because the recovery dosent wipe data. It led to a bootloop. I got back the stock firmware and tried again and same result. Further more, I cant even factory reset. I'm using TWRP 3.0. Someone please help!

Ive tried that 4 times till now. It has been in a bootloop thrice. And I flashed stock. I currently am using stock firmware but want to flash the custom rom. The recovery is failing to wipe data because it is failing to mount data.

Try this
1. Reboot to recovery (TWRP)
2. Select wipe.
3. Select advanced wipe.
4. Check system.
5. Repair or change file system.
6. Select change file system.
7. Select format type.
8. Swipe to change.
9. Select repair.
there is one problem with stock rom. its encrypts the data partition right after installing stock rom, therefore twrp can't access data partition. i had similar problem earlier. this is how i managed to fix.
solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67980158&postcount=7
i suggest you to stick with stock rom, because right now whatever roms or recoveries are made for this phone are blindly ported (just copy paste roms). i have tried about 3-4 roms for this phone, all had major bugs especially battery related. there is only one developer who made a stable rom so far is beingtejas, search his thread. if you really want to use a custom rom, try THIS rom made by gaurav kesarwani with help of beingtejas that is why i am suggesting it you otherwise it didn't worked for me atleast.
