HI,
I unlocked the bootloader for Motorola XT890 and installed Jellybean ROM. I had to install CWM to get root access. After installing CWM, i am stuck in CWM recovery mode. The phone reboots into CWM recovery. Would appreciate any help as i have tried flashing ROM's but it gets aborted , exitrecovery, delete cache etc.
Maybe try resetting your phone so you remove CWM. Try to reset CWM if you can. If you can't you should just erase the recovery and reflash it with fastboot.

HI Daniel,
Apologies for sounding stupid - Factory reset\wipe data option only shows me wipe data and no factory reset option. On your second option. How do i erase recovery and reflash in fastboot? Is there a link that i can follow the steps
thanks,
Saurav
yeah you're right about the second opinion. Remove recovery and reflash it with fastboot

Hi Daniel, How do i remove recovery - Please help
dunno lol. If you can't find how just do the flashing without removal
Hey sauravrc!, do you solve this?
I´m in the same situation, my XT890 only reboot into CWM automatically... and if I try to access to Recovery option since the Bootloader only loads the M logo (Motorola logo).
Please, any suggestion to do? Remind I don´t have access to Android OS.

Hey everyone, I need help for my Xoom 3G MZ601, I just rooted it and flashed EOS' rom and I'm stuck at bootanimation. I'm new to rooting and flashing custom roms for tablets, its different in phones.
When you say you are stuck, what have you tried to do? Have you tried to get back into your custom recovery? If you can, you could try to reflash your rom and gapps after wiping cache and dalvik cache. You would have your system wiped when you unlocked, but you could wipe again before reflashing...that might help.
Yes, I wiped everything, I did this 5 times and the same thing happens, stuck in bootanim.

1. Do you have a backup of your stock rom? if you have a backup and recovery works you should be able to recover your stock system and everything will be allright.
2. If you don't have a backup enter this site motodev site (i can't post any links) download correct firmware for your device and flash every part of downloaded rom via fastboot.
I hope it will help you
It seems like your recovery img is the culprit, try downloading eos with goomanager..
try; adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery eos-recovery-r6.img http://goo.im/devs/teameos/recoveries/wingray/eos-recovery-r6-softkeys.img or http://goo.im/devs/teameos/recoveries/wingray/eos-recovery-r6.img
adb reboot recovery
All,
I updated to the latest RebelRom today but had an issue with the email client so tried to re-flash the previous version (forgot to make a backup...). Somehow during this re-flash the phone rebooted so the flashing never took.
Now when I go into recovery(TWRP) I get the TWRP splash screen and then it boot loops.
I've tried flashing the recovery again (2.4.0.0) and flashing the boot.img again however this continues to happen.
I tried a factory reset and it too just boot loops on me.
Any suggestions or is this bricked good?

Ruu? Can you go into some details, please?
Shouldnt have to ruu.. Download latest twrp. Verify checksum. Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then download clean rom or viper put on sd, wipe cache, dalvik, system, factory reset in twrp and install rom.

I can flash the recovery fine but I can't get into recovery. Just the splash screen then it reboots to the HTC screen and loops.

If it's boot looping then you're not flashing recovery just fine.... If recovery flashed fine then when you select recovery from the bootloader, it would boot to recovery..

Factory reset is not what you think it is. It just formats the user partition. If the ROM is not properly flashed, factory reset isn't going to help. Common mistake, since the term "factory reset" is a bit of a misnomer. It implies that it returns the phone to factory condition, which is quite often not the case.

try to do
Fastboot erase cache
then again install recovery, may be it work for you.
What screen shows up when you choose recovery in bootloader?

Do the following:
Turn your HTC On.
Holdbfhe power for 15-20 seconds.
Release, when the device flashes.
Press and hold the volume down button.
Press the power button for 3 seconds, and release.
Keep your finger on the volume down button.
This should take you to bootloader, download the latest
TWRP For your HTC.
Flash it with fast boot flash recovery twrp.Evita.version here.IMG
You should now be able to enter Recovery. I suggest getting the Avatar ROM, experiencing no current errors IMO If this has worked, please reply.

Perhaps you could tell us what you flashed - it might help
bad sign, if you can't boot into recovery I'd say call Samsung

basically i try to flash every roms to see if any rom work to solve the prolem. when i ry to mount efs it said error. and after i use odin to flash back to stock. i saw current binary-Samsung but the system status still stuck at custom. any idea?
You should boot to the bootloader (Volume down and power button) and do a factory reset. This'll wipe all your data and - very likely - your Note 10.1 will boot again!
I had the same problem a while ago, and this worked for me.
edit:
Oops, I didn't saw that you tried this already...

haven't seen anyone truly remedy this situation, and I wouldn't risk sharing efs files

So the phone doesn't come on at all? What happens when you try to open boot loader.

when i try to go to bootloader by pressing down and start key, it takes me to menu where i can see start, recovery and bootloadrer option, if i go to recovery, it will lead me to twrp , but if i select bootloader it will just do nothing
Don't freak out. Everything will be OK. Just follow this guide to flash the stock image and you'll be up and running in minutes.

If you successfully made a backup, go to TWRP -> restore -> choose the file you backed up and flash.
If not, follow El Daddys post.
thank you guy,... i am working on that. will post back soon
thank you so much all of you. you just saved me.. should i select format data option only when flashing a rom or the option which says and which option causes the internal memory to wipe out clean
I usually do factory reset and wipe dalvik/cache a second time to be safe.
Which method did you use to get it running again?
Hey guys, im really desperate right now
Had xz dualrecovery and moonbreakers rom installed and wanted to do a clean install. I wiped system (which wasn't very clever i know) and wanted to reboot into recovery.
But now i can't get into recovery no more, tried volume up/down directly after turning on the phone. It just gets stuck at the sony screen. :crying:
The led doesn't turn green as well as it normally does
Is the situation really as serious as this thread might suggest?

No other way of getting into recovery and flash the rom? Without flashing with flashtool
Edit: my bootloader is locked
When you wiped the system you wiped the recovery as recovery is installed to the system partition on locked boot loaders.
You should be able to fix this by flashing a stock for and starting again from the root process...
