I have an s3 that I rooted with casual which "unlocked" it. This made it possible to test the phone with my at&t sim for basic functionality. Everything worked fine all be it I was locked into the slow internet because of cdma/gsm differences. Now the new owner is having issues because the phone will not make or receive calls. Txt work, internet works everything else works. When she calls out the phone just says "dialing" and does nothing. Incoming calls go straight to voicemail which she cannot access. She reloaded a stock 4.3 official unrooted rom via heimdall and still the same issue. Any suggestions?

I have a HTC One S originally from Fido but unlocked and using on the Bell network in Canada. The phone will work fine for most of a day and then without warning calls go straight to voice mail, but I wont receive voice mail notificaitons. Then someone will text using whats app because text messages wont come through. If I reboot then I get the voicemails. This is geting infuriating. Any one have any ideas because otherwise I love the phone. I have switched to a 4 G sim card as I was told the older sim card may have been causing the problems. No fix.

I'd recommend a custom ROM. I had problems on stock with calls and notifications not coming through, but never once had a problem using a custom Sense based ROM. Alternately, you can do what I was doing previously, which is open up GTalk periodically, and if you're signed out due to the process being killed, sign out in the app, then sign back in and your google notifications will return.
EDIT: I previously said I had Eclipse installed. I've been rooting phones left and right. The last phone I rooted I installed Eclipse on......sorry for the mix up.

So I restarted my phone and all seem to work fine. Just happened again and I tested it a few times, not being able to ring my phone. So I just turned off WiFi and then I was able to receive calls. Not sure if WiFi really had anything to do with it. I turned Wifi back on and calls still rang in.
Anyone heard of this issue?
I have CWM with Stock bloatfree ROM.

I've had no issues on stock or CyanogenMod 10. I would check in your roms thread.

I would try to gather more information like if toggling wifi is the only way to get it back or if its just reception...I think the app phone info would be helpful here to give you information on when it is and isn't working...Also I would check in with the Eclipse ROM forum and see if anyone else has had these issues.
I actually have a Stock Bloat-Free Rom installed on my GS3. I Just installed Eclipse on my brothers phone and just went brain dead for a minute.
Hey guys, so I just realized that I don't get voicemail....Now it's been months since I rooted and started flashing roms (July 2012) but I'm pretty sure that's what did it. I don't get many voicemails as I primarily just text alot, however as I was setting up AT&T Visual Voicemail (just to try it. The voice to text seems interesting) on Embryo 6.1, I called from my house phone and left a test message. It didn't show up in VV so I tried the normal, call voicemail and see if it's there, it says no messages. Tried again from my brother's cell (he has a skyrocket too, but it's not rooted, stock ICS). Still no messages. He receives voice mails no problem, and we are on the same family plan. I remember when I was on stock GB, I had voicemails, so is anyone else have issues after rooting and such, and is there a fix I can look into? Thanks.

I have 3 network unlocked SGS3. I got this device with 4.0.4. I tried to update this with 4.1.2 using ODIN. After flashing My phone says emergency calls only. My IEMI and serial number is fine. It was showing signal bar but when i tried to make the call it says not registered on network. Then i took it to a local phone guy he did some thing phone starting working. He flashed with optus 4.0.4 firmware. It was working fine. Now again i have tried update this with 4.1.2 INU firmware version. Again got the same problem with Emergency calls only. I checked whether it is locked again but GalaxSim says every thing is unlocked. Again strange is When i try to make a call to this SGS3 mobile i got ring tone but SGS3 never rings. But i can see that signals are reaching to phone. Because i tried to make a call using land line by putting mobile beside of it when tried to make a call to SGS3 i got disturbance in landline normally it happens. What could be the issue? is it problem with Modem version or some thing else? Please help me.....

I have had my g900p unlocked and it works pretty well. Makes and receives calls, internet works pretty good, MMS messages work.
My only issues are I do not get any missed call notifications and I cannot find a way to change the number voicemail dials. I am also stuck on 3G but that's not a real biggie.
Is there another ROM that will help with this stuff? I am running stock 5.1 unrooted. Knox is not a worry with me I have no warranty.
