I seem to be having this strange issue with google market.
if I go to my apps, I only (according to play store) 1 app installed which is nit the case. Secondly, play store seems to think I have never purchased an app, eg, I have purchased titanium back up pro, but the store is yet again asking me to buy it at 4.99 where as it would usualy state 'purchased' and download. Secondly on trying to repurchase it states there was an error with the wallet, i then receive 2 emails a charge mail, and a refund message.
when i log in to the the play store on the web, it clearly shows apps that i have purchased in my account history with no price and the word 'purchased' but if I navigate manually, using search, it will state a price and ask me to pay
also i am using the same google account, i only have one.
below is an image of the error
Same problem, after cleaning cache problem disappears with bringing new one, f*&king blank page! No installed apps nor purchased asking me to buy it again. "All apps" tab is empty too. Damn wtf is wrong lol..
what rom are you using buddy?
I have the same problem.
The Google Play Market support could not help yet.
I think it does not matter what ROM on phone, this is a google play bug.
Yea i suppose, but looking on google play, its not under any known issues :/ looks like it may be a while before its fixed.
I contacted the customer support.
They could not solve the problem yet
it seems that the lost connection between Google account and purchased apps.
I sent some screenshots in Google Play support and I hope that the problem will be solved.
I advise you to contact Google Play support: [email protected]
I think if there is a lot of posts about this issue, it will speed up the solution
phew glad to see I"m not the only one. I'm hit with this as well on THREE different androids (one of whom is stock unrooted so its not my fault rofl).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24058132
I have also realized I am not getting application updates. its rare I go 3 days without a single update, maybe its because it thinks I have not purchased any apps lol
Any chances that your phone market local data is not yet synced properly with the google play ? I have seen that my apps (free or paid) is not listed out immediately right after I do a full wipe or flash a new rom with full wipe. But it will eventually show up itself after awhile with data/wifi connections. I personally didn't know how long it required to sync back but eventually they will appear back when I access the market again after I restored my personal data back.
By the way, did you guys try to check your account and performs a manual market sync in the Account settings section ?
yes yes and yes we've tried all the normal market fixes, downgraded market, uninstalled updates etc.
This issue is visible on multiple droids I own (including one unrooted stock) and on web market as well, its definitely server side
I'll check in on this thread too lol. I'm in exactly the same position. No response from google.

It seems not the same problem. This is another google play problem...
This discussion about the problem when the purchased app not in app-list when I trying to download&install app, google play say that the app is not bought.
Google Play thinks I have not purchased any apps.
I noticed that going to play.google.com and trying to install apps that way would give me errors. Trying to view my apps would have a page error. All my apps on my phone are gone, but my tablet has them oddly. Weird!

I have them on my phone and not my tablet! I think it might be related to market version whether or not they disappear device side. Can only assume the newest versions of market/store download the list from the server, rather than locally. Play.google.com doesn't work for me either.

XWLP2 4.0.3 stock for sgs2.. Web site is blank too so not rom related I think.

I am also having the same problem after updating to OrDroid 1.7.5 from 1.7.3 hope this is fixed soon so I can install my apps from my backup.
I'm also have issues with my Galaxy S2 and Xoom
Same problem here with my Defy. I'm on CM7.2 Nightly build.
Just started having this problem a few moments ago on my Xoom. Cannot install any apps from the play market from my PC and keep getting server error when trying to access my apps on my xoom. Not checked my Galaxy S II yet... maybe a problem with Google?
Hi,
Wondering if someone could help. I downloaded
While its a brilliant ROM for my Desire S, the dev for reasons unknown has not used apps signed from Play Store, therefore some apps like YouTube refused to update.
Using Titanium backup, I remove YouTube, rebooted the phone, reinstalled it via Play Store, and while its now linked correctly and up-to-date, it refuses to sign my Google account in.
I'm getting an error message stating "an error has occurred" when the app is first loaded, when attempting to click the sign in options and when any video is played.
The videos will play but I can sign into YouTube with my own account to see my history, uploads, channels, etc...
I tried clearing YouTube app data and cache, reinstall but same issue.
Would be a pain to have to wipe and start again considering this is the only app doing this.

Here is the solution that worked for me. If you go into the 'app info' for YouTube, you can uninstall the current update. This seemed to be the problem, afterwards I was able to log in via google. A full reinstalling does not work because that still uses the current update. You must only get rid of the latest update App Version 4.2.16. After doing so, I am using App version 4.1.23 and everything is flawless.
Click and hold on YouTube-->drag to app info-->uninstall updates-->okay --> it works.

Nice Answer! Thanks for your answer.
"'app info' for YouTube, you can uninstall the current update." :good:
The Play Store "Error retrieving information from server. RPC:S-5:AEC-0" problem seems to be quite pervasive across a wide range of devices.
In summary, the device suddenly begins to toast the above error message when updating or re-installing paid apps. The "(installed) My Apps" list is sometimes truncated, and the "(all) My Apps" list displays the error message and a retry button. Once it appears, for some users (myself included) even wiping and re-flashing the device won't make the error go away.
I just got off the phone with Play support. Even though I had just flashed my device, they asked me to remove my Play account from system settings, then reconnect it by opening Play and following the prompts. This produced the error.
They then asked me to wipe data on Google Services Framework, reboot the phone, and try to check my apps lists in the Play app. This, also, did not work.
After about 10 minutes I received this message from the Play support representative:
Hello!
Thanks for contacting Google Services Framework and for providing details about the issue you’re having on Google Play Based on the information you sent along, it appears you’re experiencing issue #7582577 from our known issues page, which is characterized by:
- Error RPC:S-5:AEC-0 when trying to download or update free or paid apps
- Error RPC:S-5:AEC-0 when trying to access “My Apps” in the Play Store on your device
Due to high volume of inquiries surrounding this issue, we won’t be able to keep you updated on the issue via this thread; however, you can find updates on this issue by checking our known issues page:

If you feel your case is unique and is not this known issue, any further information you can provide (device logs, screenshots, etc.) that will help us pinpoint the problem would be very helpful - you can attach them to your reply, and I’ll take a look.
If you have any other questions feel free to respond to this email and I'd be more than happy to assist you.
Thanks,

AUGH
They've been working on this known issue for almost three months, and there are no workarounds at this time?!? I can recover using a Nandroid but some of my apps require Play authentication ------ is there any way around that?!
Has anyone else found the magic bullet which kills this error dead even when it persists after a device wipe and reflash?!
Getting the error here on 2 asus tf300tg a gs2 and sony mint.

Early on, before I wiped and re-flashed my device, I was able to trick it into working by clicking through the error and trying again, rapid-fire. Eventually that stopped working.
That worked the last few days indeed, but since a hour or 4 5 it's completely broken.

Interesting. I logged into Wallet and changed my default card, then switched accounts in Play, first to another Google account, then back to my regular account. I was able to purchase an app! ........but no joy on the updates.
Would be nice if we could figure out a workaround or steps that we can take like the previous post to rebuild our "corrupt" Google Play accounts. This is definitely a Google server-side issue and has very little (or nothing) to do with our devices. Currently i am unable to access my paid apps (or any previously downloaded free apps) on 3 different devices using my primary Google account. I have spoken with Google tech support (3 times now) and they've acknowledged there is a known issue but currently have no resolution or workaround. This has caused a couple of my paid apps to stop working since the app no longer shows as purchased. This seems to be an issue that has become more prevalent in the past week with more and more people reporting the same problem.
Before anyone tries to offer the standard advice of clearing data for Google Play and Google Framework...or removing and re-adding the Google account...those fixes do not apply for this issue since the account has become corrupted in some form or fashion on Google's servers. In fact, one Google tech suggested that I create a new Google account and contact the developer of each of my paid apps and have them transfer the app to my new account...WHAT??? Unfortunately that may only be the only real viable option at this point for people that have been affected by this obvious bug in Google's system.
Suddenly my updates are working for paid and free apps. *Did someone fix something or is this a fortuitous occurrence?!?

It looks like Google actually fixed the issue with corruption in the Google Play profiles. I noticed my apps were showing up again this morning. Still wasn't recognizing my paid apps...but clearing data on Google Play Store and Google Services Framework and then a reboot fixed that issue. So everything is working on all my devices again and I think my blood pressure is lower now as well

Google may have fixed this problem for some but many still have the same issue.
Okay, so this device has given me it's fair share of weird play store fails -9XX errors.. I've had to jump through amazing hoops to just make Play Music work a few times, it ends up telling me that I don't have enough storage available on a 64gigs device, cm'onnnn, perhaps is has something to do with Play suddenly saying all my damn tracks in the cloud has a lengh of "Infinite", that's just ridiculous. I have never had all of these issues before on my tablets or previous phones. So what is up? The newest one is Google Drive and Facebook crashing like a boss, even when they "try" to run in the background. Then I uninstalled Facebook and I got Play Store error -24, I cleared everything, deleted Facebook app and rebooted, then it installed. Facebook went back to just bootlooping and crashing all over the fcking place. I'ma show you a video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQCgOf3E70A
Check it out, if you have any solution to this, please let me know. I can live without it, it's just that.. It's amazing how many issues I've had with Play Store and Services on this device. I always use CM.. I always flash this ****.. I've never seen these issues flooding my device before.

I am not sure if the title is correct for the problem that I have.
Phone not rooted
I got the S8+ earlier this month, used smart switch to transfer my apps and data.
and today I wanted to check my twitter, and I use the flamingo app which is paid.
the app wouldn't open and gave me a message saying something in the line of 'this app is modified, contact developer if this is false'.
Well since it is a paid app and i installed it though smart switch, the app definitely had a security check thing probably tripped.
So I went on the play store and uninstalled it via play store.
Problems starts occurring
Play store says uninstalling, I went to my home launcher seeing the app already uninstalled, went back to the play store and it still says uninstalling. and goes on for a while without changing.
So i restarted my phone, and tried to install it again, only this time when i click install, it says installing for a bit, then play store crashes.
I open it again and go to the app page and it says downloading without a change in the progress bar.
other problems i encounter
gallery wont load any photos/ albums , just says no items.
Whatsapp , when i try to view story that is picture or video it just closes the app, and when i open it again and wait for a bit it will close by it self. every time i open it wait for a bit then it closes.
twitter, when trying to download pictures the app closes, and the closing only happens when trying to download pictures.
these closing of apps don't have the 'app crashed' pop up it just closes.
what i tried to do to fix it, and none worked
Restarted a couple of times.
Cleared cache and data for play store , play services.
removing all my google accounts , and signed in again.
clearing cache/data for media provider
other notes that might be useful
so i tried to install the flamingo app again (via apk) , and it took a while to install 5-6 minutes, tried to up date it and play store closes, opened play store again it just says downloading pending and after a bit just closes.
just opening the play store and waiting for a bit closes the app.
instagram doesn't seem to be affected.
i am downloading the stock rom to flash to my phone but the download is slow only 50KB/s and the rom is 3GB which will take like half a day to complete..
please any help would be great.
thank you in advance , and sorry for my mistakes in writing this form.
Why don't you try factory reset? (prior to flashing)
