Looking for a Stock Rom for a Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P5113 - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have a Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113 that is more or less bricked. It won't allow me to boot in to the recovery in order to reset it. I've tried using Odin v3.07 to load Clockworkmod and the Stock rom that I found here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420381
but Odin doesn't like Zip files.
I've tried the Vol - and power buttons and all I get is a black screen. Vol + and the power button get me the ODIN Mode. This was so easy to do on my GP5.0 but it at least had a working bootloader this thing is completely uncooperative. Please help.
Thanks,

Have you tried unzipping the stock ROM, then flashing the md5 through Odin? The md5 needs to be placed in the PDA, make sure repartition IS NOT checked.

I unzipped the "shakatu_GT-P5113_4.2.2" file but I don't see an MD5 file. There is a boot.img but that is about it.

So I would try and find the stock ROM from Samsung. The one in development, though it IS stock, isn't what you want to get it back up and running, you want the official Stock from Sammie. I would unbrick that sucker first, then go back and root, flash custom recovery, then ROM.

Perhaps you can find what you need here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P5113

Is there a way to create a Boot SD Card and force the device to boot into a Recovery mode? CWM perhaps?

URGENT HELP!! cant get into recovery...odin mode ok but all flashes fail

I need some help with my galaxy tab 2 (p3113)!!
The tablet does not boot at all....it powers on and will only go to the odin download (while holding power and volume down).
It will not go to recovery AT ALL when I try holding power and volume up...just a black screen...no android icon or anything....tablet will ONLY go to odin download screen and nothing else.
I tried flashing stock rom with odin version 1.3 and 1.8 and 3....every single attempt at flashing stock rom fails...odin recognizes tablet plugged in (yellow box shows tablet plugged in) but flashing stock rom fails every time....tried flashing stock ICS and stock JB....nothing...cant get any recovery mode with power button and volume button pressed...
Any ideas???? Kies does not recognize tablet and neither does adb...reinstalled kies and drivers several times...no help
Now what????

What pit files do I need and where do I get them? This will erase and partition the internal storage, right? Would that allow me to load a recovery afterwards?

Do you mean Stock Recovery still there?
If yes: uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin and flash the recovery again. When Odin finished flashing, wait 1 Minute to be sure. Now DIRECTLY boot from Download-Mode into Recovery! Don´t boot the System!
Welcome CWM

@danger2u
If KIES installed, please kill KIES and every KIES and Samsung Process running in background!
Run Odin as Administrator.
Uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin, also make sure "re-partition" UNCHECKED!
Add the recovery.tar.md5 as PDA.
Boot into Download-Mode and connect it to your PC - Odin will show "Added!"
Now Press Start.
When Odin finished flashing: wait 1 minute.
Now press Power-Button & Volume UP at the Same time! Keep them pressing!
When you see the Samsung Logo, stop pressing the Power-Button but KEEP PRESSING the Volume UP button for 5 Seconds.
It´s all about timeing. Also make sure you are using the right recovery for your device!
Btw.:
What error are you getting exactly in Stock Recovery?
Can you still boot your Rom (even if it reboots)?
Edit:
Else you can try flashing the recovery.img using Heimdall (you can extract the recovery.img from the *.tar.md5 using 7-ZIP) - but don´t ask me for instructions on Heimdall it´s different from Odin - but as i read it seems to be safer.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729617. follow the step 1 -5 really you need to download odin from the link and the stock ND2 file is on the bottom of the post. then you would Flash the stock Nd2 tar (put it in "AP/PDA" in Odin). Make sure you have all the Samsung drivers install on your computer. to get in download mod you would hole the power button, home button and the volume down button to enter download mode. A warning should popup and you would push volume up the continue to download mode. Hope this helps.

I Still can't find a working Coustom Recovery yet as soon as I do I will post.
I have a OEM deodexed rom, that can be flashed in FlashFire
how can we get ahold of this?
This did not work for me. I tried putting it on a microsd and updating from that. I tried updating through odin, and I tried through ADB. Nothing worked. I don't think my device is rooted. Also have you found a working custom recovery?

The update via Odin should work.
Try these troubleshooting steps for a failed Odin flash.

Can't install recovery 4.2.2 version

Hey.
So i've got myself in the hands of a galaxy tab 2 10.1 3g version, and wanted to install a custom rom to get rid of all bloatware. I find the rom "slimkat" too be something i wanted to try, but when i try to install a recovery with odin3 (v.309 & v3.12.3) it does not seem to work. Even tho odin says it passed, when i try to get into recovery it's the stock android recovery and it won't allow me to install a rom or the recovery zip file either. Says something is wrong with verification. And when i try to redo the odin again it says it's a custom and not samsung thing at the download screen.
What am i doing wrong? Using a P5100 and android 4.2.2 stock.

uncheck autoreboot in odin options. if recovery install is passed in odin, unplug the tab and boot in to recovery directly from download mode with power + vol.down button
