I have a 32 gb micro sd card in my Samsung Fascinate. I attempted to create a partition using twrp recovery, but it failed everytime saying that it could not find the partition. Now when I use my card though it only shows 23.9 gb even though it is completely empty. This was a legit card and it showed the correct amount of gb proir to the failed partition. I don't know why my partition setup failed or why it is now only allowing 23.9 gb.
Thanks
I too am facing the same problem with my Kingston 64GB Class 10 micro SD card in my Sprint HTC One M8 using captain throwback's custom TWRP recovery version 2.8.4 on official kitkat 4.4.4 rom. The phone is (obviously rooted/ S-O).
Any help would be appreciated.

Try reformat your SD Card using MINITOOL PARTITION WIZARD (windows apps) into fat32. Before doing it, connect SD card to your computer just delete second partition you''ve made with twrp. (you can see it from your computer)
How to use mini partition wizard just Google it.
Thanks a lot for the tip my sd card now works perfectly and all is good!

Hi,
I was finally able to partition my 16GB Micro SD HC Class 4 SD Card using minitools.
FAT32 at the front, Primary, and EXT2 afterwards, logical.
I can drop files onto the FAT32 partition and flash the ROM in recovery, but when I reboot it can't find the card.
If I then change the card to my old 4GB Samsung SD it is fine.
When I partitioned the 4GB card using ROM Manager, which I couldn't do with the 16GB one, it created an EXT3 partition.
Is there anything I can do, or is it simply the card?
Cheers
As an update, I put the card in my wife's Blackberry this morning to see if that could see it and it said it wasn't formatted and did I want to? Yes I said.
I could now see it on my Desire and was able to partition it using ROM Manager.
Looking at it now, the second partition is ext3 and is primary, not logical.
I've no idea why this happened but I'm hoping it will all be fine when I flash a new ROM.
I have a stock rom on my S-off rooted Sensation. I reloaded a back up of the stock Rom I had made due to a gps file I wanted to get rid of. On my 32 gig sd card I had partitioned the card with a 2 gig ext 2 partition for installing my apps to sd card using the app called link2sd. I use that app on my Nexus One and other phones without any issues. The problem I had is after I flashed the back up stock rom the phone does not recognize the ext. partition. I have tried rebooting without success. Is there something I am not doing. I don't want to partition my card, I have all kinds of imfo on it I don't want to loose. Any help will be much welcomed.
Thanks
Vinny
Hi there everyone, I just picked up my Transformer today, and while Im not new to the whole flashing business (done it lots on my Galaxy S) I cant seem to get this working on the tablet. Ive managed to get it rooted and CWM loaded, but every time I try to flash a zip from my sd card its lot letting me mount the sd card.
Was hoping someone would be able to help me out
CWM only read files from the Removable micro sd card and not internal sd card.
Also the removable micro sd need to be in a fat32 format

Are certain microSD cards not compatible? I've currently got one in FAT32 format and it cannot read that either.
Some people have reported problems with using a MicroSD when formatted as Fat32 through windows. Try using an SD card formatting tool. Apparently when formatting an SD Card through windows it doesn't format it correctly.
Also some people say they had to try a few card before one could be read.
Hi folks
I have a 4gb sandisk sd card
I had a 512 mb ext3 partition and a 128 mb Swap partition
One day it suddenly became "read only"
I can access all files but can't add new.
Can't click pics etc..
I tried formatting via PC
My pc showed an empty disk but when I put the sd card back in all the files were back :/
I have tried DoD 7 passes wipe using MiniTool, unpartitioning the sd card, reformat, changing file system, everything!
But the sd card returns to its original state when I put it back on my phone :/
I've tried it on 3 different androids and a Java based phone.. I own a windows 8 32 bit PC.. with all drivers properly installed and USB slots fully functional.
Any help will be appreciated ASAP

Hello,
I have a problem with Link2SD which I hope someone knows an answer for. My setup looks like this:
Hardware
Galaxy A3 (2017) - SM-A320FL
SanDisk Ultra MicroSD (64 GB)
Software:
Android 8.0.0 (A320FLXXS3CRK1)
Newest TWRP for my phone
Newest Magisk
Universal Init.d Injector v2.2 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/mod-universal-init-d-injector-wip-t3692105)
How I setup the partitions of the microSD
First Partition as FAT32 (Primary) with a drive letter assigned. Second Partition ext4 (also Primary) without a drive letter. MiniTool Partition Wizard was used for this process.
Also tried a few variations of the above like making the second partition ext2 or setting the first partition to active but in the end it all made no difference
Now the strange part ....
The partitions are properly detected when I connect the microSD to the PC using a card reader.
The first partition is also detected as external memory by android and I can use it like every other SD with one partition
Link2SD is also able to detect the second partition, mount it at start and link apps to it
The problem is that my PC wont detect the sd card when I connect the phone to it. When I reformat the SD back to one partition the SD card is detected without a problem (explorer showing the internal memory aswell the external memory)
[*]Sometimes the card is also shown as not detected in the default samsung file explorer even tho the apps moved to the sdCard are stil working
Does anyone have a clue what is happening here or what I am doing wrong?
Dear user
I am having the same troubles with my a320fl when attempting to use 64gb sd card partitioned with fat32 and ext2/ex4.
Once I enter the card in the phone and restart it doesn't register on the phone.
I hope someone else can help us!
I have the same problem, also with a 64GB Samsung Evo, could this be an A3 issue?
