Hi there everyone, I just picked up my Transformer today, and while Im not new to the whole flashing business (done it lots on my Galaxy S) I cant seem to get this working on the tablet. Ive managed to get it rooted and CWM loaded, but every time I try to flash a zip from my sd card its lot letting me mount the sd card.
Was hoping someone would be able to help me out
CWM only read files from the Removable micro sd card and not internal sd card.
Also the removable micro sd need to be in a fat32 format

Are certain microSD cards not compatible? I've currently got one in FAT32 format and it cannot read that either.
Some people have reported problems with using a MicroSD when formatted as Fat32 through windows. Try using an SD card formatting tool. Apparently when formatting an SD Card through windows it doesn't format it correctly.
Also some people say they had to try a few card before one could be read.

heres the deal i am using a 32gb micro sd card in my samsung vibrant flashed a backup image onto sd using rom manager now i deleted recovery image but my laptop still reads it as 8gb instead of 32 and no device can mount, read, or format it how do i fix it
in recovery, wipe the SD card, it should work
I just purchased a 16GB micro SDHD card to put in my TF. Currently i'm running prime v1.5. I've formatted the micro sd card to FAT32 file system. When I insert it directly into the TF (not the dock) the TF recognizes and prepares the micro SDHD card when booted in the Android OS. I ran titanium backup and pointed the backup directory to my removable storage card. The process completed successfully.
Now the problem i'm having is getting CWM to successfully mount the removable storage card so I can run a nandroid backup. When I try to mount the card it simply gives me an error saying cannot mount sdcard. Is there something I need to do to get this to work? Any help is greatly appreciated.
bump - can anyone offer some advice on how to get this working?
The only thing you can do, it's change the sd.
I have the same problem and the only solution it's to use a 2gb old sd that works in cmw, so i can do a nandbackup and restore and the 16gb sd for anything else...

really? so 16GB cards dont work in CWM for anything? Just the smaller cards is all? Nobody on this forum has gotten a 16gb to work yet? I'll await a few more replies, if no solutions then off to Fry's to get another msdhd card, 2GB that is.

No, 16gb cards works on cmw, but not all the sdcards...
You aren't lucky, only this.
I have bought another 16gb in class 10 that works perfectly with cmw.
But the solution don't change, the problem is the sd, not the program, sorry for you
my 16gb works with CWM.

My Sandisk 32GB Class 10 works as well. (In case you're shopping for a new one.)
Have you tried booting into recovery mode without the MicroSD card inserted and then inserting and tried mounting once CWM has been loaded?
Ive a 16GB MicroSD from Toshiba which will only mount in CWM on my HTC Desire HD inif it's not present when CWM starts but will mount 100% of the time if I do the above.
In my TF I use a 32GB Lexar MicroSD this works fine for reference.
Whenever I start up CWM and go to "apply zip from sd card", it says that there is no sd card in place. Is this a problem with my microSD? I'm using a PNY 16gig
Can you see your micro sd card under normal circumstance?
ie when using a file manager can you navigate to Removable/sdcard?
make sure you didn't accident unmount it
Other thing would be to check if the sd cards is formatted to fat32?

Sometimes, all you need to do is create a partition on the microsd card in the first place.
i was messing around with creating a swap partition on my SD (no kernel support.) and i found that cwm doesnt like it when the first partition is allocated for swap.

i must be handicapped!
for some reason i can not partition my SD card correctly. i am using clockwork mod recovery 5.0.2.0. i go in partition the SD card for 512mb 0 swap. format the /sd-ext. everything is all good from this point.
my problem is the rest of the SD card is not formatted.
so like a retard i stick the SD card into my windows 7 laptop and format it so i can put the rom on to flash. when i do this i loose the 512mb ext partition it made on the SD card.
what am i doing wrong?
is there a better way to format the remaining space of the SD card without loosing the 512mb ext partition? so i can put the rom on the SD to flash the rom.
Format SD card to fat32 then partition your card in cwm. That's all you have to do

afterwards
the how to do i get the rom to the SD card? because if i stick the sd card back into windows laptop it wants to format the card again and wrecks the SD partition.
is there another way to push a rom from laptop to the phone by USB?
After you format the SD Card in Recovery, choose mounts and storage. Then choose USB Mount. After that load the backup of the SD Card back onto the card. If you don't have the Rom in your backup, load it then.
oh okay sorry i didn't understand you clearly but i'd do what prboy said
easy
much easier. i have been doing it the hard way all this time.
thanks both of you for the help.
So then you got it sorted out?
I don't think Windows can recognize/format an ext partition as it's a Linux file system. I had to set up my ext partition yesterday and Windows 7 only read the left over space when I mounted it through the phone and a card reader(14gb card read as 13gb). Should be good to format it when you plug it in.

Suddenly, my 32gb Sandisk microsd is not reading on either my phone or the card reader of my PC. I was doing a nandroid in TWRP. It finished, but, after reboot...nada. It's like the card isn't there. Is there anything I can do? I have a lot of pics on the card I definitely want. The other stuff, not such a big deal.
From what I've been able to search and find, I don't think there is a software solution here. Any weird tricks I can try? Thank you.

Where you trying to parttion the sd card using CWM recovery or were you just making a nandroid backup ? If you want to partition the sd card its better to use a software on pc than using CWM recovey since CWM is known to have bugs in the past.
I would advise you to download a partitioning software called minitool (free version available) from the internet and install it on the pc.
Then insert the sd card in the card reader and plug it to the pc. Now run minitool and if it detects your sd card repartition and format it.
If it doesn't then it is possible that the sd card is damaged. When you buy a new sd card try to partition it with minitool because it is far more reliable.:good:
