nope, i think str3tch or someone elses might be much, much faster... i can set performance/sio and receive a score of 86xx
E: and please dont create 2 threads just to show something you think is, 'cool'(is there a way to say it without offending anyone?)

Oh spit thats bust my bubble but are they using a stock ROM and hardware? lol ... 2 post are due to the no link policy before you have done 10 posts which I fully understand and I didn't want to be an arse and post smiley face replies or something silly just to get my post count up

nope, only on kernels which version is 3.0101 (excluding s-kernel)

don't be too trusting with the benchmark

Sooo u get 8487 points in antutu, and? I dont see the point of creating new thread in which u will just show us ur score. It would WOW WOW WOW if u would score 9k+
8,5k is normal score.
Btw. if u wanna do screnshot just POW&VOL- or POW&VOL-&HOME depend of firmware

I went with what I could find

These where the results I found before I posted this so all I had to work on. I found plenty of videos images and reviews also stating 4k to 5k but yes after a great deal of in-depth searching I have since found scores of around 84xx but all of them were using a custom rom I'm using a stock rom and as I started with 4333 a score of 8487 is WOW WOW WOW
http://antutu.com/view.shtml?id=2869
If you had read my post you quoted you would know why I did a second post and does it really matter

lol, kyrillos and stock can easily reach 8.5k when it comes to antutu v4

Maybe AnTuTu should be ask why scores are higher

As AnTuTulads are members here and if what you are saying is correct (i'm guessing you mean scores are higher in v4 compared to earlier versions) and ask them to explain. Maybe someone like yourself who has a better knowledge than me of past and present scores

It's a massive CPU and bus overclock leading to this. Not a daily driver setting, it will chew through your battery and it's not entirely stable. Only for the purpose of breaking records.

Blazing fast after the update

I got a quadrant score 2500+ for the first time after the update. I notice the IO was doubled, in quadrant advance before the update I would get 2000+ on the IO test, but now it gets 4000+. What did tmobile did on the update that it got the device IO scores doubled?
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using xda premium
I have the same thing with my device as well. After testing it with Quadrant Advanced, my score is 2500+ and before this update it never reached 2000 at all.
It's not just speed... battery life has been improved as well.
just updated mine as well. It went from 2160 before the update to 2783 in quadrant and 4911 before to 5225 on AnTuTu. Now lets see how much the battery is improved

Yea I just got 2714 score on quadrant. Damn this update was very good for the device, this just proves that how fast a device is isn't just about the processor, its more of like a balance between the processor and the software. If the software is crap but the processor is the best one out there, it really doesn't help much. For instance look at the galaxy nexus, it has the hummingbird GPU not the latest exynos yet it is faster than the galaxy s 2!
So really if you think about it its not about the processor only is more about the software.

ROMs based on the T-Mobile base won't be as fast until they incorporate what's changed in this ota update. Once they do, they'll likely end up being faster.

This test is definitely a hoax. Everybody knows i9500 has a better battery life, camera lens, and stronger CPU. In this test the scores are too low of the i9500. I always get at least 28k+ on Antutu and 13+ on Quadrant. (Fully stock)
Yah yah yah ... I don't care a bit about tiny marginals!
Both variants have monster performance and both can be tweaked to perform even better

And I get higher scores than they do too for the i9505 (25k+ Antutu and 13k+ Quadrant) with stock clocks.
It's not like these tests are that perfect in consistency. The i9500 is faster but it's a small margin.
"This however, isn't necessarily due to the difference in camera sensors, but rather the software versions of both phones, as they do differ - XXUAMDE for the i9500 vs. XXUAMDC for the i9505. Engadget really aren't respectable any more.
I find it laughable how middle of the road the comparison is.
I'm not sure why they'd review like this -- clearly other people have got different results.
And is the call time really so bad on the Exynos model?

Funny how everyone gets mad when the exynos isn't as dominant as some fanboys here expected it to be.
Isn't Engadget an Apple loving fansite now? (and so is Anandtech, and Gizmodo... the list goes on)
Gsmarena at least test better than Engadget, who don't have a clue what they're doing, but they did slip on this one XD
The performance differences are indeed subtle, but I'd like more accurate information regarding battery life, are there any other links that test this?

I always see higher benchmark scores at XDA for almost every phone compared to all of the reviews on 'respectable' sites. The i9500 and i9505 aren't unique at this.

GTA:SA Mobile

Today I saw that Rockstar releases GTA San Andreas for Android devices in december.
Now I want to ask you:
Do you think it will run on our device?

Vice city works pretty good.
So i guess San Andreas will work good too
Hoping for the best.

How is it possible that gta:vc is working well on ur A2`s? On my one i cant even play gta3 with higher fps than 22/23.
@up because you need a good and fast SD card
:/ thats what i was feared about. Can u tell me which are minimal w/r speeds to make playing games like gta3 comfortable?
Just buy class 10 SD card it should be enough class 10 means min. 10 MB/s read.
yeah, really looking forward to the game's release ^^
i hope that it will pull our phone

hope you're right. But the engine is same as previous GTAs, then should run a bit more slow than VC, even I thinking the VC is bad optimized, because I was reading a thread in a forum about GTA, and a mod has modified the GTA VC for Android porting the Los Santos map, and he said that runs more fast than the original game.
Hm, I was thinking, when the GTA SA was released for PC, I think it was made for single core processors. Now we have dual core and quad core processor on mobile, then I think it will not need a powerful phone to run, they also will not make a game that only the high-ends phones could run, would be suicide. I guess a mid-end (as our) phone can run it as well.
The issue with single-thread optimised games, is that they work best with only one core, sometime you get ol' school issues like "double speed" or rapid gameplay due to the effective clock rate being twice as much along with the engine clock lock, patches usually fix this, but if it uses the same engine as VC, it should work just as well or slightly worse.
It's just great to think that a game which required a P3 and a GeForce 3 Series, can now be played in a device smaller than a hand,
