[Q] Performance Control - PA - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was on Omni ROM and decided to check out Paranoid Android. I go the About menu and click on the build number a million times to get to dev menu. I installed the Trinity kernel, but I don't have a performance menu. I had performance menu on Omni ROM, but how do I get it on PA?
Device: Nexus 5 (32GB)
Android Version: 4.4.2
PA Version: 4.0-BETA5
Baseband Version: M8974A-1.0.25.0.13
If you need anymore information, just tell me.
Thanks,

Yea lol, if you can create your own rom from source. Roms have different features some you'll like and some you won't. Just use the ones that have the features you like.

Trickster mod from the play store.
While it doesn't add it to the developer options menu or embed itself in settings, it will provide you control

| ROM | AOSP | Odexed | 4.3 | FLO | JLS36G| Perfect Android 4.3.4 | 9-29-2013 |

This is a simple AOSP rom that I'm maintaining for myself and sharing with the community.
Perfect Android is built with the idea of being simple and stable for your Android device.
Based off of Android Open Source Project code, features and fixes are introduced with each build.
If you are looking for something that is more feature developed I would suggest BAMF, CyanogenMOD, AOKP, or ParaniodAndroid, that offers more.
Feature list:
- Full Google experience
- Chrome browser
- Odexed System and Frameworks
- "Clear all" button on recent apps
- Option to remove persistant search bar in Launcher
- Reboot menu
- Power menu Screenshot
- Long press back to kill app
- Volume Button music controls
- Volume Button wake
- Fully customizable Power menu options, which include option to add or remove items
Instructions:
First time flashing device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Optional: adb backup
Fastboot oem unlock > fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash ROM.
ROM: Link
G-Apps (included): At this time there are no "official" g-apps available so I've included what you get stock.
Root (included)
Source: Link
Follow the above link for the complete source to make your own changes or to completely debug down to the core of the rom also follow my github for detailed changes.
Always remember that XDA started out as a great place and will remain a great place as long as we are great to each other anything used in this ROM is available upon request and feel free to use this as a base rom for any other project.
WANT TO CUSTOMIZE THIS ROM READ THIS:
Want to add or remove anything or customize for yourself use DSIXDA's Kitchen. Its a great kitchen for customizing prebuilt ROMs.

I still have those tutorial links you sent me when you were going to help me build AOSP on Nexus 10. I am going to give them a try on Nexus 7 (Gen2). Thanks for the starting points...

That's the idea behind it to be built from source and good as stock, my features are minimal but yeah you'll need to wipe since Google signs there Roms differently than I do
Have to say this is really the perfect rom. Very well thought put blend of features, performance and stability.

It supports DEB, there's just no LTE signal.
it won't boot. I get a pink screen. Could it be the host kernel I use? I thought this would load whatever kernel was in the new ROM. I use glitch kernel for latest CM nightly.

No, bluetooth does not work. It acts as if it would, but it won't find any devices.
Why wouldn't I put system and data in one file? It belongs together, /system contains gecko.

But webapps contain in /data/local/webapps ?
or /system/b2g/webapps on your build?
Those are just apps, gecko itself is in /system/b2g, and I suppose it differs between firefoxOS versions.
@Tasssadar
easier to make flashable zip
extract this file into B2G/out/host/linux-86
and run
Code:
./build.sh otapackage
Just got it running in multirom, works alot better then i expected! Thanks Tassadar, this will be fun to play around with :silly:
I too finagled this to work with MultiROM!! Thanks Tassadar, this is pretty baller.
Nice @Tasssadar !
I'll flash this once I get home and give her a whirl.

Are your GearOmni build didn't have camera and sound issue like on DirtyUnicorn?
General question
Hi, @Alberto96, read in the Omni ROM thread that you'll switch from CM to Omni, can I ask why?
Why would you change from CM to Omni? I wonder if it's personal preference, or are there technical / performance motivations behind your decision? Just wondering.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks

I highly doubt it, OmniROM uses the same "buggy" audio driver. (CM device tree just adapted to AOSP/OmniROM)

Must be because they base off AOSP. Your only choice is to flash another ROM such as Mahdi which has this feature you can control your Hue/Saturation/Contrast/Intensity as the thread I listed.
Flashing another ROM isn't required, just flash a kernel with that feature and change it through Trickster Mod.
Transmitted via Bacon
I can recommend Furnace kernel + Trickster mod for the job. Comes with a rather decent white-calibration out of the box too.

[DISCUSSION] Best Stable and Fastest ROM for our device currently

Hey Guys! So, I want to know that which ROM do you think is the most stable and fast ROM available currently on our device? I prefer speed over features. Also Xposed and ViperFX should preferably work. Am currently on CM 13 but it doesn't over kernel OC.

Okay, now it's working fine. Sorry, before I didn't flash Agni Kernel. AWESOME ROM. BEST KITKAT ROM I'VE EVER USED! I think I'm gonna be sticking to this for a while. Just two things:
1) When I installed ViperFX, it didn't show driver options. Effects are working nonetheless.
2) The ROM has a theme engine built in. What kind of themes can I use???
