how can install cwm recovery please?

Thats great i was begging samsung kn all forums to plz not make it bigger than 5.8 or it wont fit my scrubs. Seems like they listened to me. There was a rumor of a 6.3 inch device and i didnt like that idea.

i would also like to know how to root and flash cwm. the website seems to have some information but it's in russian and even with google translate I can't figure how to flash recovery. do you think you can translate some info for us? I tried rooting with binary's method but although everything goes smoothly, i don't have root after reboot

If you still want to know how to flash Ravenous ROM, you can do by following instructions.
- Download and copy zip file into SD Card (my card file format is FAT32)
- Install ROM Manager from Google Play
- Choose Flash ClockworkMod Recovery - it will notice your device isn't in device list, so choose manual install and choose version 3.x (my choice)
- Reboot to Recovery using ROM Manager
- Flash Ravenous ROM
- Reboot and enjoy
Note: my device already rooted from manufactory

Hey ramgear, about that process, didn't you get the Signature verification error for the zip file? I couldn't install it at all, even though the zip file from robin.raven seems to be signed. Tried copying it a bunch of times to no avail.
Of course ROM Manager didn't install any recovery at all, so I had to use the 3e recovery from the phone.
In that case, does anyone have an adb-pushable recovery or any other one? the one in the Russian forum has a set of instructions that I honestly can't understand at all.

3e Recovery always report signature fail for Custom ROM, so you need to install CWM Recovery.
For me, i have installed ROM Manager by download from http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/RomManager.apk then install Flash CWM (1st choice) using ROM Manager program (internet connection required) and reboot into CWM Recovery (2nd choice) using ROM Manager.

For getting root access
install the correct ADB drivers to ur computer for intex aqua flash using pdanet software
root intex aqua flash using (Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17.zip)

Enable USB debugging on your intex aqua flash . (Go to Settings > Developer Options > Check mark “USB Debugging” and then tap OK button
Now connect your intex aqua flash to your computer via USB cable. The drivers should be installed automatically (or use Pdanet to install drivers)
Go to the folder named “Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17″ and run the “Runme.bat” file. This should open the command prompt
Choose the Normal mode by typing ‘1‘ and hit Enter button from your keyboard.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the intex aqua flash rooting process. Your intex aqua flash will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
When your phone is back ON, you should find the superuser SU app in your app drawer. If it’s there, your intex aqua flash have been root
For getting Clock Work Mod Recovery
Download the recovery.img file here Download Here
Transfer it to SD Card(put it in root of sd card)
Open mobile uncle MTK tools ,click update recovery and select recovery.img
Cwm recovery on ur device go to cwm either by combination buttons ( Volume + and Power) or through mobileuncle tool
Dont Forget to Backup before flashing
Note: Before doing a backup after ur in cwm go into backup and restore > then change backup format to tar, now do a backup before trying this rom

To Flash Rom
Download AquaFlash_miui_v5.zip and tranfer it to ur SD Card
wipe data/cache , then go to mounts and format system (just to be safe)
Flash Zip you put in sd card

Tips on using the ROM:
To charge normally (fast), turn off phone, plug charger, wait for a minute (till the charging animation goes off and phone is off again) and turn on phone. Now it will charge fast. This is the standard procedure for all JB ROMs. If you dont follow this, charging will be slow.
You need to turn auto-brightness off if the LED notification lights stay on even with screen is off!
Camera:
If you are not satisfied with the quality and performance of the stock camera app, use the bundled 'ICS Camera', or an app like 'Camera360 Ultimate' (free app from the play store). It will produce better quality images.
If you get a clicking sound when starting and closing camera, dont worry, read this
Superuser:
Before installing anything, first activate root permission from 'Permissions' app in 'Security ' folder. Select 'manage root permission' and enable it.
This only needs to be done once, and all superuser prompts will come as usual when you install/use root apps.
If you installed or tried to use any root apps before doing this, and your app no longer gets root access, reinstall that app. Also includes a custom hosts file, which you have the option to remove if you want to see ads.
Battery:
To see percentage battery indicator on the status bar, go to settings->battery and change the battery indicator style
Performance:
To make the UI transitions faster, you can use the good old standard tip:
Go to settings->developer options
Set 'window animation scale', 'transition animation scale' and 'animator duration scale' all to "0.5x". UI animations will seem twice as fast after doing this.
If the ROM becomes slow over time, do a reboot.
And try not to do a lot of stuff in the first few seconds when SD card scanning is going on, sync is going on or when apps are updating in the background. Its not right to complain of "this/that doesnt work" or lag when you do that

Known Issues
If SIM slot 1 is empty ( and slot 2 has a sim) then the signal will show as x but ull b getting network ( you can call msg recieve call and msgs viz only signal will b given as x else everything will work)

Symphony W150 (MTK6589) ROOT, CWM and Themes Hack

Hi. recently i got in Symphony W150. Its quite good specs and quality in such a price (BDT 1700, around 167 Euros). This is almost same as GIONEE ELIFE E3 except 1gb storage. Gionee ELIFE E3 comes with 16gb storeage Anyway it takes my whole day to search and find the way to install CWM recovery in to that phone. though root was easy. So I collect all the necessary info for Symphony w150 and describe here very easy and simple way How to root and install Clockwork mod recovery (CWM) on Symphony w150. But first DO AT YOUR OWN RISK AND PROBABLY YOU WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

1. Download And Install Driver For MediaTek Chipset.
2. Restart Pc ( Just to be safe)
3. Download And extract MOTOCHOPPER
4. Connect the phone in USB Debug mode
5. Click RUN.BAT in Motochopper
6. You get Rooted Mobile
If every thing ok whole think should take max 5 min.
CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY (CWM) FOR SYMPHONY W150.
This is very critical part. one mistake may brick your phone. so pay attention unless u dont want expensive paper weight )
1. Make scatter file with MTKDROID. Press block map then in new window press Create Scatter FIle.

2. Open SP Flash Tools. Load the scatter file created on step 1 then click Read Back.
3. Click Add. then double click on N/A then save.
4. Now in Read back block start address, In the length box copy cach from scatter file created on step 1. Remember it start from 0x.... like this.
5. Now poweroff phone and disconnect from PC. In the SP FLASH TOOLS Press Read Back. wait 1-2 sec then connect the POWEROFF phone to same USB as previous. SP FLASH Tools Should connect the Phone and start reading. here have patience. for me it took around 35 min. When its done just close the new green circle window.
6. If goes ok then then disconnect the phone and power on. Open MTKDROID and connect phone then go to root, backup, recovery and select To process file ROM_ from flash tool. Browse the ROM created on step 5. after succesful unpacking it will offer to create CWM and then press yes. It will create CWM recovery for your Symphony w150. Remember the path where it unpack the ROM.
7. After task complete in MTKDROID disconnect the phone and switch off. then go to SP FLASH TOOLS. In scatter loading browse the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc created on step 6. Uncheck all ticks except recovery. click in recovery and select the MTKDROID prepared recovery. Click DOWNLOAD. if everything ok then close the new green circle window. Remember you check only recovery in this section. otherwise your phone maybe brick.
8. Now disconnect the phone. Press and hold Vol+ and Power together and You will get synphony logo. after 1 sec you will see CWM on your phone. dont take out your finger untill u see CWM.
HD Theme Hack on Symphony W150
As i told previously symphony its just re branded Gionee ELIFE E3 except minor storage change, it is possible to download more theme other then few stock themes include on the phone.
1. download build.prop editor from play store.
2. open build.prop editor and grant superuser.
3. search "theme" on build.prop editor
4. change the value of :
" ro.gn.theme.net.support" no to yes.and save.
" ro.gn.theme.style " 0 to 1 and save.
5. Now search "change" on build.prop editor and change the value of :
"ro.gn.change.support " no to yes.
Now reboot your device and check in theme section have download option. but its painfully slow speed to download though.
whole process will take around 1 hour. so be patience and do only if you know what you are doing. thanx and happy Nandroid.

Oh yea it's called printscreen...my mistake. I didn't link my cwm, cus Whn user follow all the step, he will get his own custom cwm created by mtkdroid.

Rooting:
Thanks to rohitm1991, we now know of a easy root method for Karbonn A12+.
Download SRSRoot One Click for your Windows PC.
Install Drivers for your phone using pdanet or Universal ADB Drivers.
Connect your phone using usb cable.
Click Smart Root in SRSRoot application on your pc.
A Prompt on your phone will ask you to install an app. Confirm.
When first two exploit fail, third exploit will launch, click Boromir on your phone and you will get a congratulation mesaage.
Reboot your phone.
If it doesn't work in first try, try again, worked for me with the exact same steps being repeated in the second try.

Clockworkmod Recovery:
I have successfully ported Clockworkmod Recovery for our Karbonn A12+ with the help of MTK Droid Tools. I have created a special zip file to help you through the process. The files in the zip are pretty self explanatory but if you need detailed instructions, refer this guide.
Stock ROM
Thanks to chukzde, here is the cwm flashable zip of the stock rom.
I have took a full backup of the stock rom through:
SP Flash Tool, MTK Droid Tool and CWM as well. Shall upload when I have free internet to waste. Others are requested to upload one if they are blessed with a good internet connection.
Here is MT6572 Scatter file for you to use while flashing any stuff using SP Flash Tool.
Please note that old versions of SP Flash Tool will throw an error like failed to initialize on this scatter file. This file works fine with the latest version of SP Flash Tool (latest according to what I could find on the internet).
Sound Mod:
Rooted A12+ (and other device) users can use Viper Sound Mod to improve the sound quality of the phone speaker or any headset you use with it. I have shared my experience of the Viper Sound Mod on the Karbonn A12+ here.
Key Combinations:
Press and hold Volume Down + Power Button to get into Factory Mode. Selecting the only option with some english in it will factory reset your Karbonn A12+
Press and hold Volume Up + Power Button to get to a menu. In this menu, use Volume Up to scroll and Volume Down to select. From this menu, you can go to Fastboot Mode, Recovery Mode or boot normally.

Modified Stock Launcher for Karbonn A12+
- Persistent Search bar matched to look as Jellybean style
- KitKat style Folder previews/background and App Drawer icon
Steps to Install:
Before proceeding, just to be on safer side download any other Launcher from the Play Store and use that Launcher while performing the below steps.
- Download the modified Launcher2.apk
- Using any root file explorer of your choice (I personally use ES File Explorer) copy it into /system/app
- Set permissions as -rw-r--r--
Note: Don't touch the Launcher2.odex file.

How to change Setting After Rooting
I want to Know is it possible to change the Android Phone Setting like Karbonn A12+.
If yes how ?
I want to Add / change Setting to add RINGTONE Selection Option for TWO SIMs in the Phone.
As the Phone does not have ringtone selection Option for the two Sims. like in Karbonn A15.
Is it possible to have such.

I got this phone couple of days back. Is it having a 2MP camera on the back. In settings picture size shows max only 2MP. no options beyond that. Can you please confirm the back camera is 5mp or 2mp ?

karbonn a12+ got root but after flashing cwm from mobile uncle tool it get into old recovery only ............help

A12+ stuck at boot
i have A12+ and have rooted it successfully:laugh: but then in hurry i have installed chainfire downloaded long ago which is not compatible with jellybean 4.2.2 and i am stuck in boot screen (the eye) , i have already tried wiping data and cache from recovery and i have not installed cwm i have stock recovery. i could have uninstalled it via adb but 4.2.2 have sideload only hence adb commands are not working adb shell returns error : closed error. now the only option i have is to flash stock rom which i have not backed up so it would be very kind of you to upload it .or i have also read that it could be achieved by installing TWRP recovery and then renaming some files and changing some values from this linkhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560607 , who had similar case like me .so if anyone could provide me the stock rom and preloader drivers it would be very helpful my mobile is just a week old :crying:

i rooted my a12+ as per ur giude and everything was fine for two days den suddenly it stopped working it does not even boot into recovery mode . please help !!

I have clockworkmod backup of stock Rom, about 940 mb in size but I don't have a decent enough internet connection to upload it.

can I boot into recovery mode if my a12+ got bricked..
(stucked at boot image or eye)

@suthar98.sunil, unless an Android device is hard bricked, you can boot into recovery mode. But unless you have flashed a custom recovery like clockworkmod (link in first post) or twrp and a device backup to restore, it won't be of much use.

Scrolling interrupted at borders
Whenever i'm scrolling down in any app, no matter how slowly, it goes smoothy but is always interrupted at the borders, like in calendar, at the border between two months,in play store home page, after each app tile; or in es file explorer, after each folder while in list view, the scrolling movement bumps a little at the borders and then continues again. It happens in every app but is more visible in these. can the framework files be modified in any way to solve this issue, as I've already tried the smooth scroll tweak in the framework file and am also sure the device does not lag.
Do any of you guys out there experience this issue too?

Hey friends am Ajai and I own mmx a72 , as of you guys I too faced problem due to low internal memory , so don't worry here's the solution for your problems.
The following methods are collected from the internet but I personally tested these methods on my own mobile and they are working great.
How to ROOT mmx a72​
1. First of all download and install the drivers for your mmx viva a72 from the link below.

3. After installing
Connect your phone via cable
Enable Unknown sources
Enable usb debugging and Allow mock location (Setting -> Applications -> Development)
Double click eroot.exe in your PC
Connect your mmx a72 phone to pc via USB it should look like this

Installing CWMR (ClockWorkMod Recovery) in MTK (MediaTek) Smart Phone:
NOTE 1: Make a backup through MTKDroidTool before, if something goes wrong!
NOTE 2: Your phone must be rooted before installing ClockWorkMod Recovery!
Download MTKDroidTools from below link

1. Extract and open MTKDroidTools and press ROOT button
2. Select root, backup, recovery tab and select To use boot from phone option,then press Recovery and Boot button
3. Press Yes button when asked for Automatic CWM Recovery
4. Press No button when asked for Flash Patched BOOT.IMG
5. Press Yes button when asked for Install created recovery to phone
6. [THIS IS OPTIONAL] To check if recovery works press Yes button when asked for Reload phone in recovery
7. Here are 2 recovery screen shots in mobile:

One more thing the recovery can't be acessed by using volume keys.
It is only accessing through rom manager.

I have done rooting procedure on my canvas viva...quite for some time now...recently I changed the memory card...and after performing hard reset...now I cannot get root access for any of my apparently...like link2sd..snapshot and various such apps...can anybody help please
