How to Flash Ultimate Galaxy V3 Rom
Sir firstly tell me If the Camera(front and rear),Bluetooth, Wifi, Radio, Sms, OTG, 3G ,GPS, etc works smoothly on this Ultimate Galaxy v3 rom by default? Or there is need to flash some other files after flashing this ROM to make all these above said functions work?? And secondly , tell me how to flash this Kernel?? Thank You!

Every things work well..bt 1st i cant say about otg cos i dont use it. 2nd there was minor prob in fm app u need to flash a patch if u want fm app. i dont flash it cos i dont want to use fm, thats not a big prob. 3rd thing for kernel we cant gave u link at here due to forum rules.
i can help u for flashing kernel, its very simple process like flashing any thing from cwm/twrp recovery.
1. u need to root ur phone & install cwm or twrp recovery
if u have it already skip step 1.
2. download latest kernel which support ur phone. 3.4.67 or above with ur desire rom ver like 4.1.x or 4.2.x
3. copy zip file to sd card.
4. now reboot ur phone into recovery by holding vol up + vol down + power keys
5. into recovery mod choose install/update via sdcard
6. find the kernel zip file & Install it.
7. reboot ur phone & enjoy.
u can check ur kernel ver in about device in settings.

Yes Brother, u need flash kernel before flashing any 4.2.X rom. & the best kernel ver for ultimate galaxy v3 rom is 3.4.73, 3.4.78.

Ya sure download the latest kernel
copy it to sd card
reboot ur device into recovery mode
install/flash zip from sd card
select & install kernel's zip file
reboot in normal mode & enjoy

i dont think this method would work with those s7500 cyanogenmod roms, because they depend on their jelly bean kernel, that is only for the version without the L, but i havent tested it. anyone was brave enought?

Don't try it you will hard brick your phone..
Op plz mention that this works only on same android version roms and also only those which are made from stock rom not from source...

u need to flash a rom or just want to flash kernel...there many methods to flashing roms & kernel & recovery, etc.....just tell me what do u want?

Go to recovery(cwm, twrp, ctr etc),
Wipe dalvic cache,
Choose Install zip from sdcard and select your kernel zip file to flash it,
Now reboot your phone if necessary.

hey bro, some rom comes with boot.img or uboot.img & some rom doesnt comes with that file. in micromax a110 4.1.x roms comes with boot.img & when u install custom roms like 4.2.x u need to add boot.img in zip file before flashing (Installing) rom..thats why ur fone is not booting.. before flashing any 4.2.x rom u need to flash letest kernel.

1. u can add boot.img from any mmx a110 rom.. if ur rom is 4.1.X u can choose from any 4.1.X rom or ur rom is 4.2.X u need to add boot.img/uboot.img only from any 4.2.X rom.
2. if u need latest kernel u need to google it. or pm me.

first we have to flash 4.2 kernel via cwm and flash rom via cwm is this process correct
will it be problem if i don't install 4.2 rom after flashing 4.2 kernel can i use my old suvi 4.1 rom ?>??

Okey Bro....Ur Process is correct...first flash kernel then rom...& yes, after flashing 4.2.X Kernel U can able to use ur old 4.1 rom also....
now for kernel, the latest kernel is bindas boost on xda - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2683095
& if u need any extreme kernel then u need to google it cos we cant give u link or doent suggest u due to GPL Violation on XDA FORUMS
now for boot.img if u flash the latest kernel then u dont need to add any boot.img in zip file cos boot.img just contains kernel.

That's very simple....download desire 4.1 rom & flash it through recovery...all 4.2 kernel work with 4.1roms...if u not want to use 4.2 kernel than u flash 4.1 kernel on ur device...
if u want to flash stock rom than flash it through sp flash tool...any time u can upgrade downgrade ur rom or kernel. just follow procedure(Instruction as per dev say).

Thanks to this forum. I was scared to upgrade kernel thinking the phone could brick for any mistake i do in the process. However, it appeared that the process is simple. Just installed the kernel (.zip) from recovery cwm. Hope my GPS works fine this time. I just installed kernel 3.4.82 xtreme and running gb 4.2.2 team minha smashers ROM. Hope GPS works better this time.

as @Sdk_Zone mentioned in earlier post downgrading to 4.1.x from 4.2.x is just simple
1.downlaod 4.0.x ROM
2.download 4.0.x kernel.(search on google)
flash ROM then kernel it will reboot auto.if not than reboot manually.
DOne now your phone is on ICS.

I have read and researched a lot but I'm stuck at the point where it says "This ROM is Without Kernel. You Need To Flash Kernel If U R On 4.1.x. If U R on 4.2.x Then No Need To Flash Kernel"
I have rooted my phone, installed CWM Recovery but I'm not able to verify my kernel version.. On my phone it shows kernel version "3.0.13" and android version "4.0.4" ICS. Do I need to flash a new kernel? Where can I find the new kernel and how to flash it? I don't want to brick my phone by installing the above custom ROM on an incorrect kernel.

Do I need to flash a new kernel? Where can I find the new kernel and how to flash it? I don't want to brick my phone by installing the above custom ROM on an incorrect kernel.

hmm....okey first of all u on 4.0.4 its ics..no prob buddy.. u need to flash kernel for every new version of android..that line where u stuck it says if ur device android ver is 4.1.X (X means ver like 1 or 2 or 3 eg:4.1.1) then u need to flash kernel for ver 4.2.X for flashing ultimate galaxy rom on ur device..ultimate galaxy v4's version is 4.2.2..and of-course u r on ics than that compulsory need to flash letest kernel..

there's all kernel what u need if u wanna flash 4.1 rom then download 4.1 kernel or if u wanna 4.2 rom then download 4.2 kernel & flash it on ur device

hurrey....u now on 4.1.1 k....bt buddy if u wanna flash 4.2.X rom then also want to flash the 4.2.X kernel..if u dont flash it then many prob can pop on ur device or u may brick or ur device can be bootlooped....if u r on 4.2.X kernel then u can use ur old ver of android like 4.1.1 rom on 4.2.x kernel..

1st flash letest kernel then rom it will good & safe for booting ur new rom in ur device..
if u just flash the kernel than it will be ok & u may flash rom at any time in future..

okay.. understood.. how to flash only the kernel? in the CWM Receovery Mode I could not find the option for flashing kernel only.. or am I doing it wrong? I am using this kernel..I am going to use X****** is this correct cos there are two download options one for 4.1.x and for 4.2.x and I have downloaded 4.2.x.. can I flash this on my 4.1.1 ROM? Please explain how to flash the kernel..

we cant discuss xtreme kernel here DUE TO GPL Violation....
okey then all kernels & rom installation(Flashing) r same..
download rom or kernel's zip file n
copy that zip file to ur device's sd card
now boot to recovery mode(what ever u have..like cwm, twrp, ctr, etc.)
goto install/update from sd card
find ur zip file there & select it.
install it n reboot ur device..

ummm.. so if I simply copy the kernel and run it from CWM it'll load a 4.2.x kernel without affecting my 4.1.1.rom?

yes buddy u got it....if u stuck on bootloop...then just goto recovery mode back once .. wipe cache & dalvik cache once then reboot ur device..it will not change any thing in ur rom

thanks!!! that worked wonderfully..... now I'm on kernel 3.4.82... this means I can install my desired custom rom of 4.2.x... one last question, after I install the galaxy ROM and want to change to say nexus rom.. should I revert back to ICS or JB 4.1.1 STOCK or simply install the new ROM over the old one without changing anything?

no buddy no need to revert bak to stock....just follow instruction which is written on thread....
if device is bricked then u need to flash stock rom to ur device using sp flash tool...

I've flashed many many Roms,(color rom, MIUI. etc) the latest being the JMP Chili Rom and my camera does not work in all of them. It says, cannot connect to camera. I've already flashed the Binass kernel, but maybe I flashed it wrong? Is there something I need to do? Please help me out, thank you so much in advance.

Do you have to wipe cache/dalvik or anything else after flashing this kernel? I have flashed it too, but only the front camera is working.
when do you flash it? right after flashing ROM? Can I do it now that my phone is up and running? or do I have to reflash the rom too?

2.clear dalvik cache
3.Flash this kernel.
4.reboot in recovery.
5. flash your rom

it work for me.
i am on suvi 16. and all stuff work properly besides screen problem
why don't you try this rom to check camera is working or not. i love to use this rom.

Hi,
Now, are you on a micromax A110 that came with jellybean by default when you bought it (referred to as jb out of the box). If so
1. the new unified bindassboost 4.2 kernel by bindass dost supports camera in jb out of the box devices. flash that while flashing the rom and it should be okay. here is the link to the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2683095
These are the steps I usually use when flashing,
1. wipe data, wipe dalvik cache (in advanced options)
2. go to mounts and storage and format system
3. install the rom zip
4. install any patches, if provided (although I usually boot the first time, see if the patch is necessary and then if so, install)
5. install bindassboost 4.2 kernel
6. reboot:highfive:
Note: the above instructions are for 4.2 roms only. For 4.1 you can skip step 5.

Well, you can pretty much flash any 4.2 Rom as long as you follow my steps and flash the BINDASSBOOST latest version kernel found in the original android development section:victory:
These are just the Roms I've tried out and liked a bit
No you don't have to flash a 4.1 Rom. I was just saying that as far as I had observed ( I own a JB out of the box device), 4.2 Roms seemed to lag a lot. That's why I said I preferred 4.1 Roms. It was just my opinion. You DON'T NEED to flash a 4.1 Rom
If you are stuck at deleting cache during the ROM'S INSTALLATION (after you've pressed install zip), then
1. you may not actually be stuck. In some Roms, the blue bar indicating progress does'nt move uch during installation. So you may think it got stuck.
2. Try changing your recovery. I suggest clockworkmod v 6.0.28. I once used TWRP recovery and it didnot flash any Rom on the first try and kept getting a message saying I had Root problems. Might be something with the recovery
3. The ROM file may be corrupt. Try downloading again. But mostly I think it's first one.
If you're stuck at deleting cache while using the wipe cache option from the recovery, then there is something wrong with your recovery. flash a new one.

Also, i moved to the stock KK rom for q3000 (was 4.2.1 when bought). Does this mean I'll have to move back first to stock 4.2.1?

I am working on dual 3g sim option by default.
for this purpose i provided mtk tools which can switch 3g in any sim.
it will be better if u flash jeely bean stock via sp flsh tools if ur reverting back from kk.
I personally havnt tried installing any jb rom on kk via cwm.
u can try and report back so everyone will be benefited

OK. I was able to successfully move from KK rom to flexi & pxz2 roms (not yet tried this one). no issues at all.
2 more questions:
1. Can you please list the steps to switch 3g between sims? In pxz2 for example, I tried Dual SIM Card -> 3g service -> select the second sim. is this correct? anything else required?
2. Does any of your ROM have 3g video calling (not skype/hangout etc.,) support? asked this question in the z2 thread as well but checking here too.
appreciate your help.
BTW, i just love the pxz2 rom. if 3g video calling can be enabled, i think i'll continue to use it.

I got the sim switching figured out and is working perfectly fine. Great job!!!
On the 3g video calling, this Rom has the option since this contains the stock dialer (I think), and it is working fine as well. I tested all your other roms but don't find the video calling option.
You have a thread in the original development section on how to install stock 'kk Rom (hadiyalkishan's rom files). It's it possible to enable 3g sim switching in that? I'm willing to try to cook it up if you can teach me how. I understand you'll not have the time for individual request

Yes u can use philz recovery on ur current os.
If u want to install this rom
If ur mobile came with kitkat out of the box then if u flash this rom ur camera wont work.
If it was with JB then it will work normally.

is camera issue only with xtreme v1 or it will happen with all custom rom based on JB (like flexi) if i try them from stock KK?
if stock kk is the problem that cause such bugs, should I first downgrade stock kk to JB s011-25022014 using instructions you have provided on All in one JB index…then root it by framaroot, install custom recovery, install custom os based on JB….r8?

U can flash any rom without any iasue with phiz recovery.
Camera issue is for those with kk out of the box.
U can PM me if u want to know anything. I will defiantly help if i know anything regarding ur queries.

The FM radio is not working. It starts, but no audio output neither on headphone nor on the speaker. Please help, some patch, some apk file?
