Androsign - Open source signage solution for Android. - Android Apps and Games

Hi everyone I just wanted to post this project here since I will be working on it and would like to welcome both Android developers and Web Developers the option to contribute. The idea behind this project is to create a signage or kiosk app for android that is controlled by a web based CMS. The good news is I have a working implementation of this now and I am actually using this in production at my place of employment.
Features of the Client as it is now include:
Slideshow style background
RSS ticker
Weather
Logo
Digital Clock
Embeded web content
Force rotation(useful on some android sick pc's like mk808)
Features of the CMS are:
Public API
Ability to control client configuration
GitHub Links!
The Client(Android App)
The Server(CMS)
This is what the Client looks like.

I'ts been a while since I've updated it for a few reasons.
I've been busy with my day job.
It should work as is.
It did'nt seem like there was much need for this.
That being said, I'll put up some updates but feel free to fork the project.
Is there anything you think this needs specifically?

Thanks for your answer!
Is it possible to run server on a production lamp server?
Can you make a apk of the client, I can 't seem to get it compiled.
If I get it up and running I will sure give you some feedback!
If this works good then it's exactly what we need.

No problem. Did you check out the wiki for the server and the app?
My set up on the server is Debian/Apache/Mysql/php5 so yes it should work an a LAMP stack.
What errors are you getting when building the client?

Will check tomoorow on my work have logs there.., in mean time can you compile one for me so I can test it?

I fixed the client issues, now I have a server issue, if I try to login with my registered credentials, nothing happens.. just stays on login screen.. checked if user is created in mysql and it is.. if I type in wrong password server also tells me password is wrong.. what can it be?

hi,
i agree i have not been able to give much love to this baby of mine. however there are large number of changes that are happening now.
including change in google app store policy which might make all the tools listed in this app as non conforming and lead to there removal i am trying to find a way out for the scenario.
As of now i am trying to setup a aptoide repository and see if i can get permission from all the tool owners to upload a version there.
Am interested
Where can I download it? Please give a link
Soo more specificly, what does this app do?

ROMHut - Repository of ROM's - Free ROM Hosting

Hello,
I would just like to let you know about the site i am building for ROM developers and the community. I am trying to build a repository of all ROM's for all devices in an organised manner. This will allow the users to find ROM's faster, and for developers to push their updates to users faster.
I am providing all recognised developers a few other developers with free ROM and addition files hosting. The system allows you to keep your ROM's up to date, with change logs etc. All downloads will be unlimited, with no waiting times.
I've got a few developers on board but it would be great if you could get on board too and submit your ROM's.
To get started, just head over to http://romhut.com and choose a device to add the ROM too.
If you wish to be able to upload, please apply for a developer account here.
Thank you
Scott Robertson
Founder ROMHut
For any developer wishing to submit their ROM's. We now have a developer dashboard for all your stats. This will be expanded in the next few weeks to show a timeline of your downloads so you can see your busiest periods, and best releases.

This tutorial is about turning your android phone into an ip cam. By this method you can use your android phone camera as a security camera. It’s easy. Follow these steps.
1) Download “Ip Webcam” to your android device. It’s free on play stores. You can download it by visiting this link.
2) Start a wifi hot spot with your android device and connect your pc to that wifi hot spot.
3) Open IP Webcam app in your android device.
3) Click on “Start Server”. Application will start a video feed and give you a ip address and a port for that feed.
4) Now place your android device anywhere within the wifi network range.
5) Open your web browser in the PC. Enter the IP Address and the port in the address bar. (This is the Ip Address that was generated by the IP Webcam application before). As seen on above screen shot it is http://192.168.3.198:8080.
6) Now click on use java browser plugin like the above image. If it asks for your permission please give permissions for the application.
That’s all. You can now see the live video feed from your android device from your pc.
Thanks for reading. Reps and bumps are accepted.:yes:

Are you interested in programming mobile apps?
We just started a blog on blog.cloush.com.

This is my new app for searx, the metasearch engine. It's a pretty simple app as there's not much that needs done and I'm new to app development. It's essentially webview with some extra functionality for navigation and with an easy method of switching between public searx instances (or using a custom url for your own or whatever). I also have another branch with pi-hole option as well because it's something I use.
I'm not entirely sure exactly what direction I'll go with it (whether it'll largely stay the same, I'll add more features, turn it in to a self-hosting kind of app, etc.), but it's completely functional at this point. I currently have the releases listed as beta because they're subject to major changes due to the above.
I'm open to any feedback/suggestions in the app/direction it'll go so let me know what you think!
In app ads/trackers
No. Would defeat the purpose of this whole thing
Features
Easy access to any public searx instance listed in the official instances list
Default instance is Disroot
Can change it to any other public instance by simply clicking on the link through settings within the app
Or you can enter a custom url
Basic navigation controls:
Back
Forward
Refresh
Home (Tapping on the instance title in the top left acts as the home button)
Option to open the current page in your web browser - useful for multiple tab scenarios as that functionality is not in this app (no need for the extra bloat
Option to add your pi-hole url
Long press the instance title in top left to open pi-hole page
Screenshots
Download
The latest release apk can be found at the repo below or at the link about. Pi-hole is disabled by default so if you don't have it, don't worry about it

Is this on F-droid?
No but you're welcome to add it if you want. I won't be updating this anymore either so if anyone wants to fork it and change it, that's fine by me
