Cyanogenmod installation questions - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
After seeing that Samsung may (probably) not update the Galaxy Note 10.1, I wanted to install Cyanogenmod on my tablet. I do have some questions before I attempt to do so.
1. Will the Cyanogenmod Installer work with the Note 10.1?
I know that it's not listed as a "supported device", but many unsupported device worked anyways with the installer.
2. Which build should I get?
Checking the Cyanogenmod site, it seems that there's only Nightly builds available for the Galaxy Note 10.1. Which build should I get or which build should I avoid?
3. Does this effect any features of the S Pen?
I'm not talking about the s pen related apps, but rather the hover feature, pressure sensitivity, etc.
4. Will my USB/HDMI adapter accessories still work on Cyanogenmod?
I have a HDMI and a USB adapter for my note 10.1 that I do use quite frequently. If I install CM, will I lose support for these?
Thanks,

Anyone? I would really like to install CM on my Note 10.1.

[Q] Putting note 10.1 Touchwiz and all the samsung apps onto a "Chinese t

Hi,
I'm new to XDA and i was wondering whether it was possible to basically buy a random 10.1 1280x800 off ebay (because i can't afford a note 10.1) and put the note 10.1 touchwiz onto that tablet with all the samsung apps such as the samsung version of the video player and all that.
So I want to have a the samsung interface with all their apps on this tablet so it's like a note 10.1 in a different shell. I was wondering how you would go about doing so.
thanks

[Q] S Note app on CM 10.2

Hello guys,
I would like to install CM 10.2 on my Note 10.1. It is really icredibly fast and smooth with longer battery life.
But what I would like to ask about, is that, if I flash this ROM:
1- Can I get S Note app to run on it? I use this app a lot for my notes and learning.
2- Can I get a solution for multi-screen? I used already HALO using XPOSED framework on my S III and loved it. So, does HALO work as well on Note 10.1 running CM 10.2?
3- Any "severe" problems that prevent it from being a choice as a daily driver?
4- I already installed CM 10.2 on Tab 10.1 Verizon LTE (p4vzw) and loved the fact that the notifications pannel is separated from the navigation bar. Is this the case as well in Note 10.1?
5- Any drawbacks in using the SPen?
I have searched and googled a lot for answers to these questions, but could not find any.
Every tiny help is hugely appreciated

What?!?! Wait for Kit Kat?!?! OMG, we have been waiting for months now for 4.2.2 and we became more patient when they stepped up to 4.3 without 4.2.2 upgrade and we are still waiting!! And when they released some S III 4.3 updates, they were horrible and got pulled after hours!!!
Kit Kat won't be released for months!!! And when released, Android 5.0 or 5.1 will be already released!!! If not even buggy!
Anyways, any alternatives to S Note for importing PDF files and taking notes?

[Q] CyanogenMod for Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 ?

Hi everyone
I was checking the differences between the Note Pro and the Tab Pro 12.2 ^^
Those 2 devices looks very similar...
I'm wondering if we could get some Galaxy Tab Pro's rom for our device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-pro-12-10-8/development/sm-t320-source-build-cyanogenmod-11-t2818841
I think in time we'll see them come, but the thing to remember is that our beloved 12.2 is still very much a niche market due to cost. As the price falls, we'll see more users, and with that we'll see some ports. Until then, I'd suggest rooting it and checking out the Xposed repos; you'll get many of the features of a custom rom.
This is my first Note device . . . How is the active stylus handled in CM on other Note devices? Is one able to sideload samsung apps and other active stylus enabled applications back on without issues?
I don't really care for the samsung apps really but I do like the shell integration of the S-Pen with regards to taking screen captures of parts of the screen or doing Pen-Windows.

Typically if you use a ROM that's based from a Samsung source ( like a touchwiz ROM ) , you'll have the ability to use most of the Samsung apps w/o a lot of hassle. there are non-Samsung apps that will perform similar functions though, so poke around in the forums a bit. CM is very robust and has a ginormous user community, so odds are good someone can point you in the right direction if you want to go with a CM rom.

Options for a Samsung S6 ROM

Hi guys
I used to use Cyanogenmod. Recently I've been looking to put my Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-920F on Cyanogenmod 13.
I'm not totally set on Cyanogenmod but I would really like to try out some 3rd party ROMs. Anyone know any that are close to functional on android 6. I've been looking around and the versions I've found of cyanogenmod have a list of missing features. The other ROMs I've found are on Android 5.1.1.
I'm not concerned if theres a few things missing on the features list.
Any thoughts guys, what are you guys using.
I used to stick with the Cyanogenmod ROMs as well until I got my 920F.
I've played with a few of them, but I'm currently showing the CarHDRom some love along with the Twisted Kernel V10.
The Pixel ROM is also worth a look.
I'm no expert but I know what I like.
~Thanks for that. I'd seen carHD but th elink I found was on android 5.1 I'll take a look at all of them

[Request] Porting of PostmarketOS to the Galaxy tab 4

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (samsung-matissewifi) - postmarketOS
wiki.postmarketos.org
there is one build for the Galaxy tab 4 10.1 currently, however the screen isnt working and it barely boots. It seems that it has been using the old Sub77 sources, and as we currently have the more capable matteo0026 sources, I think we may be able to succeed in making a usable build. in contrast the S3 Neo has a lot more working rn.
comparing the Tab 4 10 inch(530)/8 inch(330) to other versions of the Tab 4, we have much less support considering that the VE has nearly full hardware support and the 7 inch has display and wifi support. As the S3 Neo has succeeded in making the display work, I think we will also be able to make them work.
Do as you want. Sources are in https://github.com/s3neo (for device specific repos) and https://github.com/lineageos (for msm8226 common repos)
