Hi everyone
I was checking the differences between the Note Pro and the Tab Pro 12.2 ^^
Those 2 devices looks very similar...
I'm wondering if we could get some Galaxy Tab Pro's rom for our device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-pro-12-10-8/development/sm-t320-source-build-cyanogenmod-11-t2818841
I think in time we'll see them come, but the thing to remember is that our beloved 12.2 is still very much a niche market due to cost. As the price falls, we'll see more users, and with that we'll see some ports. Until then, I'd suggest rooting it and checking out the Xposed repos; you'll get many of the features of a custom rom.
This is my first Note device . . . How is the active stylus handled in CM on other Note devices? Is one able to sideload samsung apps and other active stylus enabled applications back on without issues?
I don't really care for the samsung apps really but I do like the shell integration of the S-Pen with regards to taking screen captures of parts of the screen or doing Pen-Windows.

Typically if you use a ROM that's based from a Samsung source ( like a touchwiz ROM ) , you'll have the ability to use most of the Samsung apps w/o a lot of hassle. there are non-Samsung apps that will perform similar functions though, so poke around in the forums a bit. CM is very robust and has a ginormous user community, so odds are good someone can point you in the right direction if you want to go with a CM rom.

2 Basic Choices are the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
What I like with the SG Note 2 is it's portability. However with the SG Note 10.1, I can do video editing, note taking, and a lot more easier and it's pre-loaded with Photoshop which I think I can begin with as someone without any knowledge in photoshop (or can't I?).
Not to mention that the SG Note 10.1 has an accessory called BT S Pen, which I think will solve my problem of carrying a large phablet. Any smart ideas on how to carry the BT S Pen?
For my course, I am yet to shift to any of the 3: Game Design and Development (an IT course), Animation, or Digital FilmMaking
Also, I also consider taking a multimedia course since I want to be a concpet artist in a game company but since it's multimedia, I might not like some medias there O.O
The reason why I have those 3 is that I love to tell stories though I don't think I'm that good when it comes to writing O.O
Whenever I watch animes and or movies, I always have that feeling of making me want to do one. Specially animes. But I like games too. In short, I also need a course advise. I am an artistic type of person too
Bottomline is that I want to be a concept artist and or tell my stories through anime or movie.
So anyone there ready to help me?
Also, can you recommend an up-to-date laptop that will best match your course choice for me? (particularly Samsung - yeah, I'm a Samsung fan now xD)
**I have posted threads like this in different forums and not even one answered. So I'm really hoping someone will answer and help me the best they can. More importantly, I will eternally appreciate any response here. Thank you**
If you want to see my answer to my question, continue reading
I think I would pick SG Note 10.1 since my problem is solved with the BT S Pen.
I think I would go Game Development or Animation since I can make concept arts when I pick one of them. But I still need to hear from you -.-
If you get a good laptop then you won't need all those apps on your phablet, right? In which case,I'd go with the galaxy note 2.If you would still need them, then you would get the galaxy note 10.1,in which case there would be very little use of your laptop, right?Think about that.I would personally get a good laptop and the note 2,then I'd get the best of both worlds. But that's just me,comes down to your choice,really...I really don't know about your course, though.

Thanks for the fast reply sir.
My reason for going a phablet and a laptop is for portability. The laptop will serve as a workstation and the phablet will be for presentation purposes and a little bit of finalizing. At first I had a problem when I thought there would be no other way to answer calls since the SG Note 10.1 is large. Later did I know there's the BT S Pen which will make calls easier to answer. Not to mention, with a style xD. Honestly, I was inspired by Asus PadFone.
About the course, don't worry because I'm sure and hoping someone will say their opinions.
Thanks again...
I've got a Tab 2 and am growing tired of the lag even using the basic function such as web browsing (running stock or rooted/CM10.1). I don't want to completely jump from the Samsung ship (I have an iPad 2 already) and wanted to know how the Tab 2 stacked up against the much higher spec'd Note 10.1 but can't find any direct comparisons on here or online.
My question is whether the the Note 10.1 is WAY better/faster/smoother/more lag free than the Tab 2. From the spec's I know it should be but I'm interested in real world first hand experience of anyone who's got or used both.
My dad has the Tab 2 and I have the note 10.1. Huge difference when I used his Tab. Lagged all over the place. My note is significantly smoother and works wonderfully.
Any particular task you're intersted in? I've got very little complaints with it. Let me remind you though that after I disabled a bunch of apps on my dad's tab and freed up more RAM, it was significantly smoother. It really comes down to how much ram it had to run apps. Have you tried different roms? Also try disabling as many apps that you dont use or install a rom that has bloatware removed. Go into application manager and disable everything and anything you can that you dont use. Like widgets and samsung app store.

Yeah, wanted to know if you've seen any lag at all using the Note? Things like pinch-zooming on the web, flicking between apps etc?
Nope. No lag with web or flicking between apps.

I was wondering about z5....but so many people are compaling about that device. And I have had a z5 in my hand, and it took awfull photos (low light). I was breaking my s6's back panel, BUT I re purchased the s6 yesterday again. I have tried the 6.0 with it, and looks promising ( I love the manual camera shutter sped control).
come back. this is a cheap device already, ($300-350), and there is non better on the market what have this huge amount of features like s6 (with 6.0 )
Why would you go back to a device where your main issue is the OS? That's just wierd.
Get a Nexus if you want AOSP.
The CM13 you are referring to in your OP is a TEST build and should NOT be used as a daily driver. Bugs, things are broken / not working.
Sounds like you might wanna research some other phones / brands before jumping back to a device your not comfortable with IMO.

im asking what about new firmwares, have them fix major galaxy s6 issues like ram management?
Samsung will release the gs6' sourcecode after the marshmallow release. This will make the custom rom community much more effective. Looking forward
Edit @renolzSry: I meant kernel sourcecode

Link to this statement please? I only heard they will be releasing the kernel source code like they allways do.
Cheers!

Hi All,
Does anyone know if there is a way to update the SM-P900 ROM but still keep full functionality for the S-Pen, and Samsung apps?
I'm on 5.0.2, have TWRP installed, and am rooted.
I tried a 6.0.1 CM ROM, but it loses a lot of the ability that the Samsung ROM has, as well as many people mentioning that it has issues with the S-Pen causing crashes.
Basically, I'd like to get the security updates, and 6.0.1 options, without losing the rest of the Note functionality, because it feels like CM removes the whole point of being on a Note Tablet, which for me is the S-Pen.
CM is fine and all, but it's always felt too AOSP for me, when used on devices like the Note series.
My Note 3 is on a Note 5 port, that allows basically everything to be modified without losing the important features, and I realize that might not be a realistic expectation on the 12.2 Pro, it seems like a waste of good hardware for the background OS not being updated yet still maintaining itself as a Note device.
Any thoughts on if this is possible, or is it simply a matter of the hardware lacking the ability to run 6.0.1 and the software lacking the compatibility?
Thank you!
This isn't likely what you want to hear. But Samsung's "feel" relies on its TouchWiz interface, which for our tablet is not available in Marshmallow. However, if you want a rooted tablet that's somewhat debloated yet still has TouchWiz, I'd recommend the excellent CivZ Lollipop. Perhaps you know of it already. If not...

Placing this in general because I'm thinking there are a lot of musicians using these tablets.
I love playing with soundcamp. I've had it on my Galaxy Note 4 phone for some time, but had no hope it would work on my P900 tablet. But a recent rom offering allows running it just fine. Not only that, but with all the screen real-estate, the program is smart enough to allow for two keyboards (piano, organ) on one screen. If you kinda like geekin' with electronica or even want to download the blues plug-ins, this rom might be your ticket. It is ported from the Samsung Tab S2. (It disables the camera, so be aware of that before flashing.)
