ok so i am using cm10.2 on my tf700 and am quite happy with it except for one detail.... In between EVERY song and when any sound period plays i get a message on the screen that says dsp manager has stopped.. really annoying!!!! it still plays the sounds or music but it just keeps popping up with this message like 30 times a day. here is what i have tried:
clearing the cache
clearing the data
using titanium backup to get rid of dsp manager (DONT DO THIS!! almost cause my tablet to become bricked)
so what do i do?
I had this same problem with cm11, just use noozoxide pro, or viper 4 android, the sound is much better anyway.

I'm too suffering due to the toast msg saying ' Unfortunately, DSP Manager has stopped" and everytime i've to press okay. Although there is no problem the sounds.
update
it turns out the problem was in the loading of the rom. i simply had to do a recovery reboot and wipe davalick then reinstall the rom everything works great now

Alright so here's some background info first:
Verizon Galaxy S3, OTA'd to VRBLK3, rooted/unlocked using this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439), phone is pretty much stock other than TWRP recovery and the phone is rooted. I also froze only a few Verizon/Touchwiz apps. I've had the phone only for a few weeks now and rooted/unlocked since the OTA to VRBLK3. I've had zero issues after root.
Now onto the problem at hand:
I went to reboot my phone today after a browser freeze up and noticed a song playing when the phone booted up. It didn't go away... as I was going through App Processes looking for something that stood out as to what and why this song was playing and found nothing. Pulled down the notification bar and it stopped. Questioning what it was I went into ringtones and found out it was playing "Over the Horizon" ringtone... Rebooted again to see if it was just a fluke and again it played the song when the phone started up... This time the pull down of the notification bar didn't stop the music like I had thought. Pulled the battery and turned on the phone again to only hear the music start up again... The notification pull down stopped the music again and I've just left it alone and it hasn't started again.
I'm just wondering if anyone else ran into this issue or if anyone has any insight as to how this happened. Mind you, I've been running my current setup of installed apps/settings for weeks with no issue on reboots. Now I've got a song that plays non stop whenever I reboot my phone... Other than a full wipe and starting all over any suggestions???
Here is a quick video I just made with the issue:
*** Please excuse the desktop/lockscreen wallpapers lol they are SFW btw ***
** Also, if you hear crickets in the background... its my lizards food lol **
* Finally, sorry for sidways view... first time youtuber lol *
Wipe Dalvic and cache in recovery and reboot.
Wiped delvik and cache ... no dice. After the apps optimized the music started right up again... rebooted again just to be sure and it still plays the music

Hmm tried deleting the audio file and it still plays on system start up ... I have no idea where the file is and why it plays

I am having this exact same issue today. It is playing the stock boot up sound but it doesn't stop. I can use the phone fine but this music just keeps playing.
Any luck on solving the issue? I suddenly started to have the same problem.
Me too, on a verizon s5.
Same here. Tmobile s5
For me, it seems to be the battery full notification sound.
I can also confirm that it is linked to the notification volume.

Ok, so I noticed that it started after I updated some xposed framework modules. I uninstalled xposed and rebooted. It's now stopped.
Anyone else?

Sometimes Xposed and Wanam modules don't play well even when they aren't installed together. A lot of times its just a rogue module that interacts with another app or process.

If you go into the thread for gravitybox kk, this issue is actually addressed. They posted an apk that should fix that bug
Let me start off by saying I am not completely sure where to post this.
I currently flashed my phone with Viper rom 3.1.0 for my HOX AT&T.
It works great but i have come to find one problem, my speaker doesnt work on anything but speaker calls not movies or music. Resaon being is that it states the beats audio was not found.
I installed this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ng.beats&hl=en but i found my phone soundless not even a peep.
So then i tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1692233 flashed it into my phone and still no sound.
So I reflashed my phone with the same rom and option doesn't seem to be available.
Has anybody faced this problem and if so has anybody gotten to a solution?
I tried using the Cyanogen 10.1 which works great but mobile data connection keeps dropping constantly forcing me to move to airplane mode and back to get data working again.
Any help appreciated.
Have you tried using cm10 or AOKP roms?

Did you do a full wipe (factor reset, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik, all in TWRP, not in bootlaoder) when you flashed? Also, don't restore any system data with Titanium (or similar backup apps). Might be a silly suggestions, although it doesn't hurt to state the (seemingly) obvious.
Wouldn't hurt to re-download ViperXL and re-flash.
You might also try to reboot into Safe Mode, just to make sure its not a 3rd party app that is causing the problem. Safe Mode is similar to button sequence for bootloader, except start pressing the vol down right after the white boot splash screen comes up. The phone will appear to boot normally, but you will see "Safe Mode" in the corners of the screen at all times. You will also not have any access to any installed apps.
I'm on ViperXL 3.1.0, and haven't experienced any such issues with the speaker or Beats on my AT&T One X. So I'm suspected its just a bad flash, or some 3rd party app causing the issue.
This used to happen on my phone, and it still happens on my wife's. Basically she presses call, and the call won't initiate for 30-60 seconds. The phone is rooted with factory fp1e. I just wiped it a few days ago, started fresh, and right now it is her only complaint. I've tried wiping cache and dalvik. I also tried to fix permissions with cwm 4.xx but the log says it's missing some sort of file. I tried permissions with ROM toolbox but it just spins for hours... I don't think it did anything.
I've been living with that annoying problem forever. Tweaked 3.2 stock or lazarus. I've had the problem way before 3.x or fp5 too

Try deleting cache or reinstalling software. It fixed it for me different times.

Mine does that too sometimes and rebooting seems to help for a bit. Sucks when trying to win something off the radio and you have to be caller #19 or whatever
Mine was doing the same but only worse. It could take minutes before it dialed. Even worse, it would dial while I was on the phone because I pressed "Send" so many times before. The problem is really bad for me because I have a older phone. Anyway, I fixed it by doing the following. I used Cool Tools, OS Monitor and Watchdog to look for runaway apps or processes that use too much CPU. I removed many tweaks I've added like SD boost and Dalvik Heap size and set them back to the stock settings. Using a tool like Rom Toolbox, set your CPU to maximum while the screen is on, normal when it's not. My CPU usage while idle is now very low (<5%). Cool Tool is a great tool for checking this. I also recommend you try CrossBreeder by idcrisis. It's better than the Seeder app, in my opinion. Good luck...
EDIT: Look @ my post #1819 in the CrossBreeder forum for a little more info.

Ok. I downloaded cool tools and can't make sense of the app. How do I use it. I too want to eliminate the lag.

Hi everyone! My first post!
After almost 2 years with my Nexus S, I finally got around to trying a custom rom after it started being ridiculously laggy.
All went well with the update, except now my "Easy Battery Saver" app keeps crashing. (every time I leave my phone a bit and turn it on I get an error message saying the application has crashed.)
When I read the error message, it seems like the reason is "Permission denial: broadcast from android asks to run as user - 1 but is calling from user 0", whatever that means.
I've tried stopping the app, clearing the cache and data, but to no avail. Any ideas on what I can do to stop the Easy Battery Saver app from crashing and making it unusable?
(FYI the ROM I've updated to is Slim Bean build 5 4.2.2 in case that matters.)
Just guessing but fix permissions in recovery or the clockwork mod app. That should help.

Hi,
Having a weird issue with my Galaxy Tab 2 7". Installed Sensonic RC-1 ROM and now with every ROM I have tried the music does not play unless I am on the Google Now Launcher home screen. I have reinstalled, wiped data, cleared caches etc. several times so I know it is not any of those issues.
The only potential thing I can see is whether the Paranoid Android Stock Gapps (dated 20140217) may be the problem.
Has anyone else had this issue or a similar one?
Thanks in advance
Dan
That's a weird problem.
I dont have this problem.
Try wiping cache, data and system.
Then reinstall Sensonic HD.
I'm also having the same problem with slimkat build 3.8 weekly, everytime I go into home screen which is google now launcher, music suddenly stops, tried with various music players, but sound suddenly disappears, but when I use nova launcher the problem and go to the homescreen the music still plays just fine, I think this problem is related to the google now launcher which always has an active voice detector if you say okay google, it conflicts with the music player I think...
just try switching launchers, it solved my problem after switching to nova but if it persists I don't know what to do
