[Q] RilTracker Serice Frozen - General Questions and Answers

Hey,
Recently I've frozen the RilTracker service under com.sec.phone services on my Samsung Galaxy Pro S7262 model which is obviously rooted.
I'm not facing any problems by freezing this service, but I need to know the proper function of this service as it may cause problem later while running an app.
Is any one aware of what this service actually do and if its ok to freeze this???
Also using Disable Service app when Im opening the Factory Test service option Im getting 12 different services..
Im not sure about their function and whether to freeze them or not???
Should I freeze them ???

[Q] Force Close error on Backflip

Few days ago my phone started acting funny and would not respond to touch. So I rebooted (off -remove battery -on) but now it comes up with :
"Sorry ! Application Home (in process com.motorola.blur.home) is not responding." <Force Close>, <Wait>...Other times it comes with similar error related to Blur services. I noticed when I turn off WiFi it will start working normal again but without Net access. I got this phone with AT&T in US but now I am using it with another Carrier. Could this be the problem? I am hoping the 2.1 upgrade will solve my problem but not sure.

Call recorder not working on Samsung Galaxy S2 after updating to ICS

Hi
I am an owner of Samsung Galaxy S2, 3months back i bought the device
On gingerbread, this call recorder app is working fine. The app only records my voice. When upgraded to ICS, not able to enable uplink voice or downling voice. If we try to enable, app says, this device doesnot support. But was able to do the same on Gingerbread. So better some modifications to be done for the app. Because this is one of the best app for recording. I googled it but didnt found any solution but found that samsung only had removed the audio libs or it it not compatible with the app.
Can any one help? how to fix this without rooting it as i bought my device 3months back and if i root the device i hav heard that warranty wil get void... PLEASE HELP ME

App by the name 'imonitor' got installed and now my WiFi keeps crashing.

Anyone else started to face problems when suddenly an app by the name 'imonitor' got installed on their Honor 6X and it keeps crashing preventing the WiFi from working.
I did some research and turns out that it is a spyware and I can't delete it because I am unrooted and my it is a system app.
How can I fix this?

i think imonitor is a system app which is preinstalled in the phone...I also have that app and is running in background almost all the times....I am not facing the issue !
Sent from my BLN-L22 using XDA Labs
I have that app too, it's part of the software, and it doesn't causes any issue to me. Wi-Fi usage is independent from imonitor service running.
I did some research too some time ago, and i found this investigation taken from a Twitter user here https://twitter.com/fs0c131y/status/960632764973441024 where the question about what it really does it's still unknown. Some thinks it's a spyware app, while Huawei claims that it's part of the anti-virus software present in Phone Service app.
It's possible to froze the app, anyway. But root is needed.

Hi.
I've got the same problem, since 10th May too, on my honor 6.x
imonitor process doesn't response, which causes very serious slowdowns of the interface and the others applications. The mobile network is not reachable, and some incoming phone calls were missed.
Temporarely I had to reboot to get mobile functions on, but problem is not solved...
And I confirm the symptoms described by Veeruroxx : wifi connexion became off.
I get the message "imonitor application doesn't response. Waiting or close the app".
When you select "wait", the message "imonitor application ..." comes again later, and when you select "close the app", no message comes later, but when you go the process running in parameters of the smartphone (developper options activated), you can see imonitor application is still running.
Another clue, maybe, i've got the city race 3d game installed on my phone, and i can no longer run it. I uninstall et install again the application, but nothing has changed. can't run again.
Perhaps it's not imonitor application which is the source of the problem, but the problem seems to appear by that application.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I wrote on Club Honor but I didn't get a reply. Is there a place where I can contact the customer support as I am unable to find.
UPDATE:
I received an OTA Update (BLN-L22C675B363) and I haven't faced the issue since then. The changelog did mention about updates regarding security patches and I am assuming that the 'imonitor' app is sending error logs to some Huawei servers and there was a communication error that caused the WiFi to stay busy. However, that seems to be patched now.
Did anyone else get this update and can they report whether their issue has been fixed?

GPS not detecting satellite

So I bought this phone a month ago, and I just noticed that it wont use waze properly or g maps for that matter. Then upon checking Phone tester, to my surprise it doesn't detect any satellites. Is there a fix for this?
I also tried other apps and look, it doesnt detect satellite
Hi there,
I'm having the same problem. At first I thought it was Google Map apps but I've tried other navigation apps as sygic, tomtom and waze, all with the same problem. When I install the GPS apps I can see the the phone is unable to lock the GPS signal. I've send the phone back to the service center and what they did was a software update (though I think what they did just hard reset the phone) but the problem still occurred. I've done the hard reset myself numerous time but no difference whatsoever.
Is this a random problem to the P20 model or is it region based problem? I've read somewhere not all the P20 is having this issue. Could this be related to Android Oreo (8.1) itself? Currently I'm on version EML-L29 8.1.0.132 (C636patch01). Mine was purchased from Maxis Malaysia. I've been thinking either to install custom firmware, downgrade to Nougat or rebrand to other region but am not sure whether it will solve the problem. Anybody else with the same problem and is there a fix for this?
I have the same problem. Tried to install other apps, did a hard reset as well... But problem still exist.
I also had the same problem, I performed a hard reset and nothing happened, I returned where I bought and they sent me a new one, it is now working correctly
send it back to Huawei service centre. I just had mine fixed. Changed motherboard, with new IMEI. 2 weeks phone. it sucks to be honest. hopefully nothing goes wrong after this. #fingercrossed
