Rebooting issue - Sony Xperia L

Hi everyone
I have annoying problem with any version of 4.2.2 FW. No matter which method of rooting i use, or did i use remountrebootfix or not, and also no matter what app i use, the phone keeps rebooting.
I'm trying to fix that since first 4.2.2 FW and always returning to 4.1.2.
Has anyone else have problem like this and maybe know how to fix it? Or have an idea how to fix it, just write.
The phone is Xperia L C2105, BL - locked, not allowed, currently 15.3.A.1.14 stock, rooted.

I've had that problem on .26 firmware, no matter what firmware i flashed, EXCEPT for the Nextel Chile 4.2.2 .26 firmware, that i think is some latin american generic C2104 fw.
Then, update appeared on PC Companion and now it's all working fine.

[Q] Xperia L won't update

Hi I am having problems trying to update my Xperia L I am on Build Number 15.0.A.1.31 so as you can see i was unable to receive the update of build number 15.0.A.1.36 or 15.0.A.2.17 I have tried updating Over The Air but the phone says I already Have latest updates installed also tried using PC Companion but that also says the phone has no new updates. I am in the UK and haven't received any updates from the day I took it out the box. The bootloader IS NOT UNLOCKED and the phone IS NOT ROOTED. Can anyone explain why I am having these problems and give me a solution to update my xperia?
probably the updates are not available. check the drivers.
solution is to flash any .17.ftf file via flashtool, i think it even works without unlock/root (heard of it... just try) or unlock and root if you cant wait

My PC companion was telling me the same but SEUS did the update...
Hope to work for you too...
Are you a Generic UK ? Phone bought outside the network ?
I have same story here, I bought generic phone free of sim-lock and other sh*t stuff from network provider and I haven't received any updates too.
But you can always change the customization number to CE 3/4/5 and then PCC will find update. I have done that and phone works perfectly well on 2.17 update.
I have a question ,if i flash the leatest .17 firmware using flashtool i lose the warranty? My phone is not from any service,it is bought from a shop.
as far as i know you don't.
The .ftf file is created from sonys official rom and so contains no malware at all. Sony would only control if you unlocked bootloader as you can only do damage to your phone by unlocking bl (like through overclocking) but i wouldnt give you guarantee about that...

Thanks everyone for your help. i have tried SUS but same problem. Yes i bought the phone off virgin mobile online however got it sim lock free and it is a generic UK. Can you please tell me how to change the customization number? I don't really want to root as I only got the Phone last week as mucked up my last htc by doing so. If the only safe way is to wait then i will do. Thanks everyone once again :good:
Why you don't flash the last firmware using flashtool?

To change the customization number you need to root. But don't worry it isn't but. You won't bootlooped your phone. When you rooted you have to do PART A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355982 and after you done it just use apk called "Voodoo OTA RootKeeper" and deteled the root. Because phone won't update because of root. But if you really afraid of root flash a FTF without thick "wipe data" and the system will change and all your stuff will stay.

and it will be very laggy till you deactivate the bloatwareapps

So basically he will have to root no matter what he will do. I think changing customization number would be easier. But that is my opinion.

Problems with wifi and bluetooth after flashing oficial firmware

Hello, I just bought a Sony Xperia L c2105 and after a couple of days i got the 4.2 update message. I updated the firmware via pc companion and the phone kept on rebooting. Ive read online about this issue and learned that many have had this on their phones and the solution for me was to flash an older firmware. I did that and now the wifi and bluetooth are not working. I flashed different 4.1.2 firmwares (15.0.A.2.17 or 15.0.A.1.36) but the wifi and bluetooth still doesn't work.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you aren't rooted/unlocked your bootloader then take it to your nearest Sony service center an get it repaired/updated

Do you remember the exact build that your phone had when you first bought it? Is the phone locked to a specific carrier?
Try installing a kernel and its modules for wifi

It seems that the problem is in firmware. Maybe the new update will solve this problem

Well it's not firmware, it's you. Because I'm on 4.2.2 and nothing happens to me like to you.
Have you all make factory data after update ?

Some phones do have issues with new firmware, that is a fact that can be verified. Just search the net. And to bash on someone just because YOU don't have an issue makes you, well an less educated individual !
Ever heard of "statistics" ? Look it up and drop the attitude.

Xperia E3 LTE D2206 firmware 18.4.C.2.14 landed in Canada, is 4.4.4 indeed?

It seems that Xperia E3 LTE is advancing slowly to bring big updates, because 18.4.c.2.14 looks like Android 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 Kitkat but im not sure. So, i am inviting you (D2203/06/43) owners to test the canadian rom available via XperiFirm.
Also, firmware 18.4.C.2.14 is certified in ptcrb and is granted for D2203/06/43 series only

Check it out guys!
Couldt find it beucase it is just registered and it is going to be just small bug fixes maybe. And yes i searched like a .... in the XperiFirm

I think i seen this firmware in xperiaFirm d2206 it is for canada
It's 4.4.2, they just fixed some bugs like memory bar in settings and they added NFC logo in statusbar. Also, new stock Sony browser.
Hearing that, It has no sense updating 4.4.2 in my D2206 using canadian rom because that are little changes. Guys, we deserve something big like lollipop. But when will hit via OTA in our E3? At this moment, not even Z series has received lollipop

Newbie - debranding Z5

Hi everyone
I have just purchased my first Sony phone, the Z5.
It is on Vodafone UK but has been officially unlocked. I wish to debrand and put on stock Sony android software so remove the network branding. Can someone pleas ehlpe as I have never done this before. I have just downloaded flashtool.
My second question - If I use flashtool to change to stock software, will I still receive OTA updates for future software updates rather than having to use flashtool all the time?
Thanks in advance.
Yes, with official firmware everything will be fine.

Hi to all, sorry if I port afloat this old thread.
I have a Z5 with a MM branded firmware (TIM Italy). I already know how to debrand it flashing another compatible firmware.
My question is: is it necessary wipe all data, also if I flash another MM firmware?
By what I read, I understood that if I stay on the same major update (in this case MM) I shouldn't meet any kind of problem also if I didn't wipe all. Is it right?
Thanks to all

Downgrade E6653 from MM to LP?

Hello everyone! Seems we're going to get root soon on locked bootloader in lollipop, so we can backup the TA partition before unlocking. The question is, can we downgrade from MM to LP without unlocking the bootloader?
You know how google, do you? You can, download the Firmware and flash it via Flashtool.

Yes, I did google. Saw a couple of post about the Z5P, but I'm comming from motorola and they are a little bit special when it comes to downgrade, because of the bootloader. So I want to be sure because I have almost zero exprecience with sony.
Anyway, no need to be rude. Thanks!
You can downgrade with no problems bootloader locked or not as the above poster said flashtool and xperifirm is your friend. I don't have access to links atm

I'm new to this forum so please forgive me. When I bought my Z5 from Vodafone UK, it was running Lollipop 5.1.1 and ran all the apps I wanted flawlessly. Since the update to Marshmallow, ACR and NetVu ObserVer now do not, the developer of ACR cannot work around this so I need to back date the firmware. I have downloaded XperiFirm and Flashtool but can only find 32.0.A.6.200 for EE. I would have preferred the stock Vodafone firmware, but will the EE one do?
any firmware will do as long as those apps work. some branded firmwares have differnt splash screens. thats pretty much the only difference
Thanks for your reply, I'm not bothered about any splash screen but something I noticed is a file named simlock. As EE lock their phones to their network only I take it this file needs omitting?
Regards, John.
