[SOLUTION] Successful flash of leaked NA6 ROM on Hong Kong 32g N9005 - Galaxy Note 3 General

The problem was that Hong Kong Note 3 has a different partition structure for some reason and thus when trying to write the system partition, we got the infamous 'invalid ext4 image' error. I tried extracting the pit from the CSC file and partition with it, but it didn't work. Even tried it with heimdall. Still didn't work. But after a lot of reading, experimenting, and praying, I tried this.
1. Download leaked ROM from here: Terafile; Google Docs; Torrent; Storage Cow
2. Extract the 4 files.
3. Fire up Odin 3.09 and put the phone in download mode.
4. Load ONLY CSC file in Odin. (It contains the pit we need)
5. Make sure Re-partition is unchecked.
6. Flash it.
7. Reboot to Download mode.
8. Flash all 4 files normally.
9. Reboot to Kitkat.
10. Enjoy.

This worked for me. Thanks!

This will only work on 32 gb or 64 gb devices. The 16 gb n9005 needs a different pit file which is not provided for any ROM other than the Hong Kong roms. For some reason, Samsung decided that Hong Kong phones should have a different partition table than the rest of the world.

Yeah I have the 32gb model.

There is no 16gb version. You will have to either wait for the official Hong Kong ROM or else go for a custom ROM.

You can try flashing the exynos Kitkat which was released yesterday.
But I haven't played around with the N900. I don't know if it will have the same 'invalid ext4 image' error when flashing a non Hong Kong ROM on a HK device. Yours is HK, I think.

You bought your phone through an authorized dealer?
I am just asking cause as far as I remember, the phones starting from 'Z' are from Hong Kong.
If you bought it through an authorized dealer, it should be a normal Indian Note 3, in which case you can flash the kitkat ROM.
And yes, SM-N900 and N9000 are the same.

Don't worry about it. This community is built to help.
Can you tell me where you bought your phone from?
To put it in download mode-
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold Volume Down+Home+Power.
3. Keep holding till you see a warning.
4. Press Volume Up.
But make sure you flash the correct ROM to your phone. A wrong ROM will brick your phone.
Note 3 is not a very noob friendly device to flash.

sir,
i not bought. actually someone gifted me. but i think that he makes me fooles.

It says your android version is 4.4, which is kitkat. But no such version was released by Samsung. Especially as early as September.
A search of 'ZCUBMI5' on google brings up many Chinese links with reference to N9006 (which as far as memory serves is a Note 3 clone).
I would suggest that you stay put and not tinker with your device.

How did you try to install the APK? It won't work if you downloaded it and tried to install it as usual, because MusicHub is a system app so you'll need to copy it to /system/app, so you must have root.
Have you tried it?

I have music but not media hub
GALAXY NOTE

Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Guys,
Those HUBS are based upon your CSC file. Depending on the region selected, you can gain access to them. NO need to root for these.
People who have access to those hubs, please provide these guys which Region CSC is stated. Do so by accessing *#1234# and provide the CSC code.
To change your CSC (It will erase all of your data / will do a system wipe).
*#272*IMEI# (Replace the imei with your IMEI number)
Select the region which contains the HUBS and hit OK.
Your device will reboot, change the CSC, do a wipe and reboot. You should now see the Hubs.
To obtain your IMEI number, dial *#06#
NOTE: This may not work for all. Changing the CSC to a specific region requires your CSC to be Multi CSC.
Alternatively, you can flash another ROM from a different region to obtain access tho those HUBC.
You will not require ROOT.

Region Locks Removals?
Will cooked roms remove the region-locks that most models have?
Mine is from The Netherlands (got it yesterday) but we have the European region-lock.
This means that, whenever I am outside of Europe, I will not be able to just insert another (local) sim card and enjoy using it outside Europe.
I truly hope that home cooked roms will remove the region-locks

Outrageous
It is only for the first time you activate the phone. E.g. If you are in Europe with an European phone, activate using a European sim, you are OK to use other Sims when you travel.
But if u try using a say a American sim to activate the European ph on first boot then u are ****ed.

Try flashing through Odin by taking out battery. Put it in back and go to download mode by pressing volume down home power.
Untick auto reboot option in ODIN 3.09 and flash the bootloader in BL Section or modem/baseband in CP Section...
After you see "reset" screen on Odin.. take out battery again and reboot the phone to download mode and flash it again... Let the phone boot and see if it changed or not... I guess it will...

On the SGS4, it used to be a fix for wi-fi problems on newer boobloaders...
Here on Note 3, unsure...
I want to update the wife's Note 3 because since switching to LTE her network receiption is quite worse compared to 3G. But, it's not my phone so I wouldn't care if it were, but here it just got to not break anything
Anyone else tried those?
