Not sure why your not getting updates , as long as your using a n9005 32gb version you should be fine installing that update through Odin . think there's a 16gb Hong Kong n9005 which will not work with the UK updates.

I have the XXUBMJ1 on my phone. Rooted via CF-Root. So as I understand, I rooted in that I flashed a pre-rooted firmware. Can I just flash this one via ODIN? It's a european SM-N9005 model and I really need root for wanam and NFC-Unlocker to work. Do I loose root when I flash this?
Yes flash via ODIN then re CF-Auto Root

Hmmm. I thought that CF-Autoroot had updated my firmware when I applied it. Is there a step by step tut somewhere? Like, which file goes where...
Aaah, forgot. Does updating delete any files? I wouldn't want to completely set up my phone from scratch.

The problem was that Hong Kong Note 3 has a different partition structure for some reason and thus when trying to write the system partition, we got the infamous 'invalid ext4 image' error. I tried extracting the pit from the CSC file and partition with it, but it didn't work. Even tried it with heimdall. Still didn't work. But after a lot of reading, experimenting, and praying, I tried this.
1. Download leaked ROM from here: Terafile; Google Docs; Torrent; Storage Cow
2. Extract the 4 files.
3. Fire up Odin 3.09 and put the phone in download mode.
4. Load ONLY CSC file in Odin. (It contains the pit we need)
5. Make sure Re-partition is unchecked.
6. Flash it.
7. Reboot to Download mode.
8. Flash all 4 files normally.
9. Reboot to Kitkat.
10. Enjoy.
This worked for me. Thanks!

This will only work on 32 gb or 64 gb devices. The 16 gb n9005 needs a different pit file which is not provided for any ROM other than the Hong Kong roms. For some reason, Samsung decided that Hong Kong phones should have a different partition table than the rest of the world.

You can try flashing the exynos Kitkat which was released yesterday.
But I haven't played around with the N900. I don't know if it will have the same 'invalid ext4 image' error when flashing a non Hong Kong ROM on a HK device. Yours is HK, I think.

You bought your phone through an authorized dealer?
I am just asking cause as far as I remember, the phones starting from 'Z' are from Hong Kong.
If you bought it through an authorized dealer, it should be a normal Indian Note 3, in which case you can flash the kitkat ROM.
And yes, SM-N900 and N9000 are the same.

Don't worry about it. This community is built to help.
Can you tell me where you bought your phone from?
To put it in download mode-
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold Volume Down+Home+Power.
3. Keep holding till you see a warning.
4. Press Volume Up.
But make sure you flash the correct ROM to your phone. A wrong ROM will brick your phone.
Note 3 is not a very noob friendly device to flash.

It says your android version is 4.4, which is kitkat. But no such version was released by Samsung. Especially as early as September.
A search of 'ZCUBMI5' on google brings up many Chinese links with reference to N9006 (which as far as memory serves is a Note 3 clone).
I would suggest that you stay put and not tinker with your device.

So I've been using the device since the update for some time battery life has seemed to improve slightly, I have very heavy usage I'm gaming all the time since I'm fasting lol. They've improved the animations aswell. In my opinion I'd actually class this an update that has made a difference to my phone(for once).
It also now includes the update for knox 2.0 (can't take screen shot drm protected image) looks much refined than before.
I'll post battery usage near when I'm about to run out of the juice

have you downloaded this yet?
I want to have it for emergencies, so not sure if a zip file is the way to go, instead of a tar.md5
thanks!

No, I was looking for the Sprint one and noticed this was up
The tar.md5 is within that zip file.
Do anyone have a link they can share of the latest extracted (PH2) bootloader & modem please?
I'm looking too, but looks like no one cares about our crappy tmo non-ux official Rom... normally a dev base would've been released by now along with separate BL & CP for those like me who don't want to do the full stock flash...

I'm looking around as well , I need my baseband back I have no service even after flashing back to stock rom
DPH2 Boot.img and Modem.bin
Here is a link to the boot and modem files that I extracted from N920TUVS4DPH2_N920TTMB4DPH2_TMB found on the SAMMOBILE site.

*I have not flashed these yet. And I can't say for certain that they uploaded correctly.
What is the process of flashing these without having to do a full flash? Odin doesn't let me select the boot.img file for the BL option.
Boot.img isn't the bootloader it's the kernel

What exactly do you mean? I guess if you're asking how you make them Odin flashable? Best thing to do ous follow ones if the guides on making a flashable tar - it's not very hard but you'll need some flavor of Linux to make the tarball, I use Ubuntu- latest LTS 16.04, but many have upgraded to yakkety (16.10) so you might start finding guides written based on it instead, but it's only a couple command lines executed in the terminal... or you could maybe adb push the bin file directly to the device, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're VERY capable with Linux, adb, and recovering from mistakes in that environment...

Should I ever get around to it I'll make one and post it because I need to update too, but that's not the only bin you need in the tarball either, there's a total of 3 bootloader on our devices, along with a few other partitions that we honestly have no idea about - in any event you're ALWAYS best to flash the official factory firmware to be sure everything is updated correctly, otherwise you can break things that you'd never even think...

I remember the days of the s3 and s4. There were always flashable modem.bin files available for easy updates
Anyone have the PH2 bootloader & modem .tar for odin?

someone please get us the files. very appreciated
Both files are in the Firmware tar.
You can flash the modem.bin directly with Odin. (CP)
You can flash the sboot.bin directly with Odin. (BL)

The problem is, I CAN NOT download the full firmware file from anywhere. i tried sammobile and few other sites but all have a download time more than 3 hours and after 30 minutes or an hour of downloading, the download stop and have to start again.
there is no stable link. i would appreciate it if anyone can share the full firmware or just the modem and bootloader since those are smaller files
Thanks

The modem should be fine. But I would be very worried about messing with the bootloader if I was you.
