I'm assuming you are talking about swapping positions of the two buttons. I'm sure there are other ways of doing this but that is one of the Many options that you have in GravityBox. You'll have to be rooted, have Xposed Framework installed and if I remember right an updated version of busybox installed.

You're absolutely right! I forgot about that! But... I'm not personally going to worry about a few milleseconds or 10ths of a second enough to give up using Xposed Framework. I think we can't lose sight of the fact that the performance we see now even when using dalvik instead of art is at this point in time substantially better than what it was not that long ago. Just my opinion of course!

Agreed! For the time being, some of us are split into two camps.
I thought the new optimized libraries brought Dalvik up to Art's speed.

The latest I've read indicate Dalvik Bionic boosts Quadrant and Antutu scores but does virtually nothing else of worth. I saw such a change on ART that I'm done with Dalvik, both on my N4 and N5.

Thanks for all of the replies! I'm new to android and I've only so far rooted the phone, installed a custom recovery and unlocked the bootloader!
I understand the proceedings to install the Xposed Framework and Gravity box but I'm not sure about busybox.
I've just followed the through with the installation without 'busybox' and everything seems to work fine. Thanks very much guys

I suspect that you are right again at least about the benchmarking. And it could absolutely be my imagination but some apps (not many) do seem faster in operation with the dalvik bionic patch and the one that comes to mind is Feedly. I could be wrong. Anyway.. having the choice to use either one is pretty nice.

Been using Xposed for a while now so I could just be remembering wrong! Maybe it depended on what modulus you were using. Busybox Free (Stericson) is in my opinion the best app for installing busybox if you ever need it, I use the pro version myself. Might want to make a backup if you start modifying system files, flashing kernels or roms.

If you want to spend the time swapping/comparing, use a common lag 'test' and see for yourself.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47533904
I haven't tried the patched Dalvik myself since ART, but if it can do what ART does (not placebo), then it's another way to the same goal.
Apologies to OP, I certainly didn't mean to turn this into a Dalvik/ART thread...just that Xposed currently is Dalvik only, but that the dev wants it to be ART compliant in the future.
Oh and seconded on Stericson Busybox Free! Cheers!

I thought I would be nice and share the builds I've been compiling for myself. I will try to make a new build when something new comes up. I'm only compiling this ROM, not developing it so please, give all the credit to the many real developers out there that make fun stuff like this for us to play with. Having said that, please no add this or fix that.
Flashing Instructions:
USE LATEST CWM RECOVERY
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Format System
Flash ROM
Flash 4.4 Gapps http://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=7988
Reboot
Enjoy!
*To use the search feature in the dialer you must flash these KANGED gapps:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=9592
It is recommended that you flash the regular PA Gapps first, boot up, then reboot to recovery and flash the KANGED gapps over top
**Dirty Flashing (Flashing without wiping data) is not recommended**
As for the current build:
SD card working, using invisiblek's old roomservice.xml
Front and Rear Camera Working using the 4.3 camera for now
Includes the kitkat camera, front and rear cameras working
Basics like phone, sms, mms are all working
Working Netflix using this version, includes Chromecast support
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23212708291678460
Thank you bluezr1 for the tip!

I believe I saw in the other thread that we have to use CWM to flash and can't use TWRP... is that still the case? I prefer and use TWRP, so changing really isn't desired.

just ran a few camera test and all seems great. pics are pretty good. sms and mms work for me. i reverted back to delvik because ART seems to mess up some apps (Tibu for instance) and personally i see no difference in performance. i have been running this ( 11/12 build) since it dropped and don't see a reason to change. For now this ROM is pretty much stock debloated with just a few tweaks. Will add more tweaks as I get time or as they are requested. I was going to add more but people have been wanting a debloated version.
HUGE thanks to old&slow for his base and imoseyon for his amazing kernel! So go rape their thanks button!
As this is based on old&slow's stock build, it does NOT include Knox and will NOT lock your bootloader. Flash like a normal ROM.
Features:
V1.4
Switched from dkp to Lean Kernel V4.0 - Thanks imoseyon
Add shutter sound on/off menu to camera. (Works)
Removed "Software update" from Settings.
Remove limit of joined contacts.
Remove contact name length limit.
Enabled Rotation Control in Gallery. <3
Added a few Samsung apps back like Exchange, Email, Live wallpapers, Music, Widgets, stuff like that. (Still only 696MB)
GPE Boot Animation
Tweaked Bravia engine. Should be a little more noticeable.
V1.0
TW4.3 dkp kernel- Thanks @decimalman
rooted-----------|
deodexed------|
zipaligned------| - Thanks @old&slow
busybox--------|
init.d support-|
DEBLOATED- 300+ MB of bloat removed
Bravia Engine V3 - Thanks @{C0deF0x}
4way reboot menu - Thanks @old&slow
A ton of build.prop tweaks

With xperience kernel v.18, you need to install "Wake Gestures" module in Xposed. Then you can activate d2tw from the module.

Oh sorry if I misunderstood your question
I prefer dalvik with xposed. Because ART for now as they say is "experimental". From what I read, it's like a hit or miss thing. Some apps load faster with ART, some load slower than dalvik. And If you are using xposed modules, you're stock with dalvik anyway.
With the Xperience kernel, I have no idea. Because I am using fauxclock. And never encounter that issue with tricksterMod last time I used it. You can maybe try to do uninstall/install, clear cache and dalvik, reflash kernel. I'm no expert, so hopefully someone can help you futher.

This zip installs the QuickRemote app and enables the IR blaster to work on AOSP Lollipop ROMs for the LG G3 (and G2). Not every device or rom has been tested, so flash at your own risk.
Credits go to @sefnap for the original G2 port, @RieGo for the original scripts, and @zzeneg for updating to the G3 versions.
WORKAROUND DETAILS:
The default SELinux policy for android was changed to enforcing mode in Lollipop to increase security. This restricts the functionality of some apps, so for QuickRemote to work we have to change the SELinux policy back to permissive mode until we have a better solution.
This zip installs an init.d script which runs at boot and sets the SELinux policy, as well as other permissions. It will also create the file /sdcard/QRemote.log, which records the SELinux policy at startup.
INSTRUCTIONS:
--Make a backup (or at least download the uninstall)
--Install the latest SuperSU (highly recommended)
--Wipe dalvik/cache (just in case)
--Flash zip in recovery (TWRP or PhilZ)
--Reboot--
--It may take a moment for device manufacturers to load, so be patient.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
First, make sure init.d is enabled:
-Check for /sdcard/QRemote.log. If the file isn't there, the init.d script did not run.
---Enable init.d support with this app
-If it still isn't working after enabling init.d and rebooting, verify that SELinux was set to permissive at boot in QRemote.log
---Try this app to set the SELinux policy instead. If the QuickRemote app force closes when you open it:
-Make sure QuicksetSDK is installed. It won't be in the app drawer, so check Setting->Apps->All
-Clear QuicksetSDK data, delete /sdcard/Quickset Setup, reboot
Thanks to everyone in this thread for helping figure this thing out!
Working perfect on liquid smooth rom, thanks for posting this!

Well, if it wouldn't, it wouldn't be a port, am I right?
I tried flashing it on Lollipop and using a different remote App and that didn't work either, even though the App recognized that the G3 has an IR-Blaster.
Guys, if you use a custom rom like CM12, you can make the flashable zip to work by doing the following.
First flash it normally, then grab from XDA the LGs lollipop version of QuicksetSDK, I think there should be a lollipop version, but I copied it from Android HD rom. Then replace the KitKat version with lollipop in in the System/app folder, set the correct permissions and voila it works. I have tested it on my Sony TV, it works like a charm. Good thing is that Smart Remote IR also works if interested to try.

1. Download and install this zip through recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...achment.php?attachmentid=3470840&d=1442036930 (Credits to Critical Detox for finding it)
2. Launch Viper4Android and install the driver and reboot
2a. I highly recommend using this IRS. http://d-h.st/VBM
That should be it to get it working, S6 users have commented that you have to freeze a couple of apps for it to work but I can confirm that's not the case. If you have any questions or need suggestions feel free to ask

I have had this working on every device, previously the S6 using a flashable zip.
Now I cannot get it to process when clicking on driver status it usually says "yes".
I am using a deodexed tmobile rom with Noble kernel. The SELINUX changer says I am permissive but viper4android doesnt want to work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Prerequisites
-Must be rooted
-Skyhigh or arter97 kernel flashed
-If no custom kernel is flashed selinux must be set to permissive using the selinux app found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524485
-Download Viper4Android from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
Steps
1. Once downloaded don't flash in recovery(FC'ed on me), unzip the file and there should be two apks. Only install the one with the higher file size(Should be 5mb)
2. Launch Viper4Android and install the driver and reboot

Original Post says you have to use SKYHIGH or ARTER97 kernel...
I couldn't get it to work. It would enable, but not process. Could you take some screenshots?

Interesting. Are you running in compatible mode, then?
I envy all of you for getting to use Viper, I'm trying my best to hold out until I can try Samsung pay beta/release which ever comes first to me then I'll decide to root only after.
I've been wondering this for a while now. I noticed in the OP, there was a choice to use a custom kernel or stay with the stock one. Obviously, we need root to get Viper working BUT do we really need a custom kernel to root 5.1.1. On the Note 5? I'm asking because BOTH of my cars miss Viper from my Note 4 and I'm hearing the current Kernels are causing a few issues with the Note 5, thanks!

You can root using the Noble Kernel which is pretty much a stock kernel and then use the selinux app to change the kernel to permissive.

yes forgot to mention that Ill add that in the OP
Thanks for the reply, Adolfo. Are you having any issues with the Noble Kernel? People are reporting things like battery drain, rebooting and or loss of certain features, Netflix not work, etc. I miss Viper but I would like to know that my phone would be fully functional after root. Also, it seems as if only a few Kernels work with the new firmware that was released yesterday.
Keeps getting more complicated. haha.

Viper4android has nothing to do with Netflix not working, rebooting or battery drain.

While I appreciate the help, Brava, I was responding to Adolfo's recommendation of using the Noble kernel due to it being close to stock. My question was if he's having any issues with that Kernel.
I've used Viper since it's inception so I'm fully aware that it has nothing to do with any of the aforementioned symptoms.
Thanks though.
