xposed is not compatible with ART.
With xperience kernel v.18, you need to install "Wake Gestures" module in Xposed. Then you can activate d2tw from the module.
Hope it helps.

I asked if dalvik with xposed was better than art ( excluding xposed as it isn't compatible! I know that :3 ) ... And that kernel isn't showing up on trickster mod...

Oh sorry if I misunderstood your question
I prefer dalvik with xposed. Because ART for now as they say is "experimental". From what I read, it's like a hit or miss thing. Some apps load faster with ART, some load slower than dalvik. And If you are using xposed modules, you're stock with dalvik anyway.
With the Xperience kernel, I have no idea. Because I am using fauxclock. And never encounter that issue with tricksterMod last time I used it. You can maybe try to do uninstall/install, clear cache and dalvik, reflash kernel. I'm no expert, so hopefully someone can help you futher.

Yes. I guess it's a good purchase if you want additional options. Specially if you use faux kernels. But the free trickersmod has sufficient options. [emoji4]

I'm assuming you are talking about swapping positions of the two buttons. I'm sure there are other ways of doing this but that is one of the Many options that you have in GravityBox. You'll have to be rooted, have Xposed Framework installed and if I remember right an updated version of busybox installed.

You're absolutely right! I forgot about that! But... I'm not personally going to worry about a few milleseconds or 10ths of a second enough to give up using Xposed Framework. I think we can't lose sight of the fact that the performance we see now even when using dalvik instead of art is at this point in time substantially better than what it was not that long ago. Just my opinion of course!

Agreed! For the time being, some of us are split into two camps.
I thought the new optimized libraries brought Dalvik up to Art's speed.

The latest I've read indicate Dalvik Bionic boosts Quadrant and Antutu scores but does virtually nothing else of worth. I saw such a change on ART that I'm done with Dalvik, both on my N4 and N5.

Thanks for all of the replies! I'm new to android and I've only so far rooted the phone, installed a custom recovery and unlocked the bootloader!
I understand the proceedings to install the Xposed Framework and Gravity box but I'm not sure about busybox.
I've just followed the through with the installation without 'busybox' and everything seems to work fine. Thanks very much guys

I suspect that you are right again at least about the benchmarking. And it could absolutely be my imagination but some apps (not many) do seem faster in operation with the dalvik bionic patch and the one that comes to mind is Feedly. I could be wrong. Anyway.. having the choice to use either one is pretty nice.

Been using Xposed for a while now so I could just be remembering wrong! Maybe it depended on what modulus you were using. Busybox Free (Stericson) is in my opinion the best app for installing busybox if you ever need it, I use the pro version myself. Might want to make a backup if you start modifying system files, flashing kernels or roms.

If you want to spend the time swapping/comparing, use a common lag 'test' and see for yourself.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47533904
I haven't tried the patched Dalvik myself since ART, but if it can do what ART does (not placebo), then it's another way to the same goal.
Apologies to OP, I certainly didn't mean to turn this into a Dalvik/ART thread...just that Xposed currently is Dalvik only, but that the dev wants it to be ART compliant in the future.
Oh and seconded on Stericson Busybox Free! Cheers!
I Made 2 Small Scripts Flashable Files Around 100Kb Each.
No Need To Change To Add Files Anythings
Just
Reboot To Recovery
To Enable ART Flash This : Mega Devhost
Wipe Dalvik Cache
To Revert To Dalvik Flash This : Mega Devhost
Wipe Dalvik/Cache
First Of All ART Is Not Compatible With Xposed. Xposed Itself Change ART To Dalvik. So If You Want To Use ART Uninstall Xposed.
To Check If You Are Using ART Or Dalvik
Goto
data/property/persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib
Open File In Text Editor
If It Says libart.so means You Are On ART
if It Says libdvm.so Means You Are On Dalvik.
If libart.so and libart-compiler.so is Not Present in lib folder. Your ROM Doesnot Support ART.
For Those Who Are Getting Update Binary Error An Aroma Package Is Made By @Patrics83

It will work on the note 3 n900?
Because by default there's no option at the developer option to select the runtime environment
Seems like Samsung disabled them
So my question this flashable zip will work?

Might work. Worked on my LG G2.
husen4u, thank you for very interesting method to switch between ART and Dalvik!
Will your scripts wipe Dalvik cache automatically in the next version? It would allow user NOT to wipe Dalvik cache manually.
@husen4u: but is correct first zip to enable art? i see all two script report "Enabling Dalvik...", so i excract both updater-scripts and i compared them both and they are identical

your kernel completely controls your phone, it ties the cpu to tbe os and to the rest of the hardware. its impossible to run two kernels. which would control your phone? it is literally the brains mass of your phone.
I use YouTube AdAway, Pandora Patcher, App Settings, Xposed Lockscreen Wallpaper, Play Store Fixer, MinMin Guard, 30 Volume Steps, Xposed GEL Settings, Alarm Clock Plus and a few more...
So, yes.

To give a more simple answer:
- You can't have 2 kernels at the same time
- You can have multiple Xposed modules at the same time
Also, questions belong in the Q&A section of the forums.
Thank you

BTW kernels and Xposed are two completely different things. I assume by the title you're using a custom kernel, not Xposed, to use Double Tap to Wake feature. You can only install one kernel at a time. If you flash another kernel, the other one gets overwritten.
As far as Xposed goes, use as many modules as you want.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
You can use multiple xposed modules. Just keep in mind xposed modules can conflict with each other if they both do the same thing.
Hi all,
Switch to ART from Dalvik in runtime.. In developer options. Your device will ask for reboot and gets lollipop smoothness. I did it.. Phone performance increased.
My device: Indian Dual sim variant Moto G XT1033
Rom: Stock rom
Thanks,
Raviteja.
I'm Sorry. I don't know where to share my review in Xda, So I posted here.

But in some roms, you can get bootlop after changing. And in other roms, you will switch to art, reboot but there still will be dalvik
And, unfortunatelly, apps have bigger size with art ;/

You write Lollipop: Is a typo or not? Since on Lollipop art is default runtime and dalvik is past away
The smooth scroll mod zip DOES NOT work.. It makes scrolling more jittery/laggy.
Overclocking doesnt work. Changing the governor doesn't work(performance). Enabling entropy doesn't work. I'm on SlimSaberLP right now and just want smooth scrolling.
Does anyone have a confirmed ROM+ kernel setup that can be tested? Or a tweak zip?

Not sure if you're on a pre-lollipop ROM or not but if you are I would try the xposed module XuiMod. You can customise the scrolling settings and to me its the best/easiest scrolling mod available. I've tried it on quite a few devices like galaxy s4, nexus 5, 7 and now the oneplus one.

I have the same fight! The fight against the lag. For me SlimLP + ak and stock settings is good but not perfect.
Maybe I have time today then i will mod the scrolling cache and hopefully all lags are gone. If you are interested send me a pm.

In temasek ROM there's an option in developer settings for that. Maybe slimsaberLP has it there too? Or in a different location maybe (if so ask in their thread)
