your kernel completely controls your phone, it ties the cpu to tbe os and to the rest of the hardware. its impossible to run two kernels. which would control your phone? it is literally the brains mass of your phone.

I use YouTube AdAway, Pandora Patcher, App Settings, Xposed Lockscreen Wallpaper, Play Store Fixer, MinMin Guard, 30 Volume Steps, Xposed GEL Settings, Alarm Clock Plus and a few more...
So, yes.

To give a more simple answer:
- You can't have 2 kernels at the same time
- You can have multiple Xposed modules at the same time
Also, questions belong in the Q&A section of the forums.

Thank you

BTW kernels and Xposed are two completely different things. I assume by the title you're using a custom kernel, not Xposed, to use Double Tap to Wake feature. You can only install one kernel at a time. If you flash another kernel, the other one gets overwritten.
As far as Xposed goes, use as many modules as you want.

You can use multiple xposed modules. Just keep in mind xposed modules can conflict with each other if they both do the same thing.

[Q] Rom question !!

Hi Guys!
Just got my nexus 5, I was wondering as to which current ROM's available offer any of the following :
1) Halo
2) PIE control
Thanks in advance !
Not sure about ROMs but if you're happy with the stock ROM and just want those two features then you can install the Xposed Framework and download Gravity Box for PIE control and XHalo modules. I know the Gravity Box module is functional, not sure about Halo since I don't use it. Hope this helps.

Thank you, i will look into Xposed Framework. One question though, does installing Xposed Framework require the device to be rooted ? I know i have to root the device to install a custom ROM but was just wondering if Xposed Framework can be installed without rooting.

I looked through all the ROMs in the nexus 5 sections, only a few of them list change logs the rest just instructions on how to install the ROM. I believe there was just ROM thread that actually listed out all the features added to the ROM.
I understand that nexus 5 development is in its early stages and I do not expect to see full feature functionality for a while. Being kinda new to the android scene i am still trying to understand all the terminology used so change logs really dont elaborate on anything yet. Thank you though

1) you don't need root to flash custom ROMs. Only custom recovery. You do however, have to unlock your bootloader.#
2) Yes, Xposed needs root.

Xposed on VZ non-dev Android 4.4

Just wanted to check if any folks here have tried installing Xposed framework on a non-developer edition Moto X (I have VZ) on Kitkat.
Any issues faced like force close etc? Also I read that MotoXposed does not work, what other extensions are people using on Xposed on 4.4? Does Gravitybox, Xprivacy etc work fine?
It works fine for me, you just need root and access to write to system. Two threads in original development have guides for this.

Just use GravityBox [KK] from the modules section of XposedInstaller. Works perfectly and has tons more tweaks than MotoXposed.

I second that. Using GB KK and it has all the main interface tweaks that I need. No FC. MotoXposed doesn't even work in KK, so don't even bother trying it.

Which Xposed Modules Are You Using?

Hello. I am running cm12.1 on my 6045I thanks to the work of the OP in the cm thread. I have Xposed installed with two modules: GravityBox and Instagram Downloader.
I thought I would start a thread for us to share which modules we are using and what our experiences have been. Please chime in.

You'd be better off to check in the xposed for 5.1.1 thread and review the list of modules they say will work with 5.1.1. It should give you a good start. In some cases you can work around issues for example I had the speed monitoring module installed which doesn't work with 5.1.1 but was able to turn on a similar feature in gravitybox which does.

Exposed Modules List

Just wanted to start a thread for people to report which exposed modules are working
I am using GavityBox. I have not tried many options in it yet. The circle battery, clock mods, and network traffic meter are working. Navbar mods do not seem to work. Was hoping to get rid of the nav bar and use LMT((pie controls).
Exposed
Working:
GravityBox (most options work)
Magisk
Not Working:
Dolby Atmos (LeEco Le Pro3)
Dolby Atmos Classic (Lenovo A7000)

I'm using Pie, but I did have to bring my nav bar back. When I did the build prop edit I kept getting random, system FCs.
Amplify and adaway for YouTube working
I'm using Adblocker reborn, Gravitybox, and Greenify Xposed modules, along with the Magisk Greenify for proper implementation. As well as Magisk Busybox, and last but not least, injected YouTube background playback, black themed for Magisk. You can also apply the swipe to seek module from Xposed and they work great together. Zoom to fill screen works great too. Best module out there!

You need the SDK version 25, but I don't think flashing it in TWRP works. I just downloaded the installer and flashed SDK 25 from within the installer.

If ur running stock, even if u hide the status bar, it won't make use of the full screen. Only way to do this for now, is by running Lineage based ROMs.
Xposed isn't available on Beta 3 yet, right? I see there's one for B2, but I'm guessing it won't install on B3.

Yes. I believe Xposed currently supports all versions, including Oreo 8.1 (SDK 27)

How add Day and Date on the status bar

One my OP7 Pro I am rooted running magisk on Pie. In the past on other roms and devices, I have been able to add Xposed to magisk as a module and install Gravity Box in Xposed just to get the one option to add the day and date, eg: Oct 29 GB is way too much for one feature.
Are their any modules, hacks, etc without installing Xposed and GB on my device (which I'm not sure is possible but don't want that option)?
Any advice?

Did you get a solution? I'm interesting too.
Two solutions I am aware of. EdXposed and GravityBox. or K-Klock substratum theme. I personally use K-Klock as it was the only feature I really wanted from GB as well.
