[Q] Treo Pro WM 6.1 - freezes - bootloader mode? - General Questions and Answers

I have a Treo Pro running WM 6.1 that will start to boot then freeze. I would at least like to be able to sync the contacts and get some photos off the phone, but the USB is non-responsive.
A similar problem was described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445279&nocache=1
And the fix the author above found for his similar phone was to enter bootloader mode.
Treo Pro bootloader mode can loaded by resetting and holding the Camera button and Power button:

But what happens once I've entered bootloader mode? Can I somehow fix the phone, or at least sync it?

Merry Christmas!
Can anybody help?

o2 zinc hangs during Activesync

On above, its funny, mine is ROM wwe_Rm3070712, WinMobile 6 Pro. Installed only with o2 themes, fontpatch for chinese language support, and Smart text .
Problems are :
1) it hangs everytime after 1 hour on synchronising (on ActiveSync 4.5).
2) The power ON/OFF can only wake up the device from sleeping mode; cannot do a ON/OFF to power on or shut down. To soft reset, must use the poke hole method - small issue that I can live with it.
Previously using winMobile 5, no such things happened. Someone said removing the o2 themes solved the problem. I would do so if not for embedded o2 Calender that can display 6 grid lines to show 6 upcoming appointments. This is a must have feature to me.
Advice appreciated.

PreBL mode on hp ipaq hx2495

hey,
im trying to install a cooked wm6 ROM from this site for my hp ipaq hx2495. the instructions say that I have to boot into PreBL mode by holding the contacts, itask, and power button, then pressing the reset button on the bottom. the screen fades into a whitish gray colour, and i pressed the calender key. i put it in my cradle, but then nothing happens. the computer doesnt detect it, activesync doesnt detect it, and the ipaqs screen doesnt change. when i run RUU.exe, it just says that its unable to connect with activesync and that I have to plug in my pocket pc.
i tried without booting into PreBL mode and just updating while on the regular today screen, but RUU.exe just keeps telling me that a different ipaq was detected and that I need to reset the device and leave it in the cradle for the whole time.
any ideas how to fix this, anyone?
thanks,
vapour

Deadlocked Windows Mobile 6.5

Hello,
I have some trouble with my Windows Mobile 6.5 SEX1 device.
After installing HTC Rhodium Menu Enhancements and HTC Scroll the touch screen does not work. This alone is not a problem thanks to the keyboard, but, i accidentally clicked the wrong soft-key, so the slide-to-unlock screen is engaged.
The USB-to-PC mode is set to "disk mode" so I cannot unlock the phone via ActiveSync.
A hard-reset is not an option since I have data on the device which I would not like to loose. Do you guys have any ideas on how to rectify this issue?
EDIT1: I even made an attempt to salvage the important files by making an autorun.exe application which would copy the files to my SD-card without success.
Kind regards
Per
Your Slide to unlock screen is engaged, right? if its S2U2 you can just soft reset and keep pressing the up button on your device which should prevent it from locking. From there you should be alright navigating to settings to change your USB connection to Activesync. If its the default windows lock screen you should be able to use the same process.

reset HTC Snap

i would like to know if there is a way to restore HTC Snap to factory settings with original ROM, if the windows installed on it are curropted and mobile keeps on rebooting without loading windows. Hard Reset(pressing volume up key and then power buttom) will not do the job as my windows are curropted
Yes,
Hard reset:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4529324&postcount=7
Step 1: Power down the phone. If your phone is already powered down, you may skip this step. Note: Removing the battery, while technically powering down the phone, is not the correct method to make the following steps work.
How can power down the phone? i didnt get that. i turn off the device and then press the VOLUME DOWN button and press the SEND button and the POWER button, no gray screen appears.
I need help in this matter please. I bought mobile from Dubai and now I am in Kuwait. I cannot goto the dealers here to get it fixed, because HTC Snap is not yet available in Kuwait, so there is no support for it.
I have tried:
[ROM] Official HTC Upgrade - Windows Mobile 6.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=570417)
and
[8-23-2009 HTC Snap Asia/WWE WM 6.1 (Unbranded) ROM 1.19.707.2] (OS ONLY) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550863), but i cannot install them because my HTC Snap keeps on rebooting before the windows load. My computer doesnt recongnize the device, so there is no way to install these ROM's. i have tired hard reset too, but it didnt work

[Q] Is my cruise dead ?

Hi everyone,
I've read some topics here with similar symptoms but none of the solutions worked for me yet.
here's my problem:
- screen not responding
- all physical buttons working
- can boot into winmo ==> but cant interact with it since no input possible by touch
Tried:
- hard reset. When I click explorer + messaging it just boots...
- go to bootloader mode: hit reset while holding cam button it just goes on and boots!
didnt try mtty yet, but I wonder if it will work since when I plug the phone to my PC (tried 4 pcs at home with 7 and XP SP3, 1 at work) the battery charges but the phone is not recognized by windows (nothing on the screen, nothing in peripherals etc... )
Is it dead ?? Can I reflash it somehow ?? Where is Waldo ??
