Vivax TPC-7100 - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
wanted to ask a few questions for tablets....I have experiance in custom roms for andorid mobile phones but not for tablets.
Right now I have LG optimus 4X HD with CM 10.2 installed and it is very easy to find roms and everything else for the most
of the phones but as I can see not for the tablets....
I wanted to change to rom on my tablet but it is a cheap tablet that even don't have te spec on the manufacturers site or on the Vivax site there is not my model or even program to update your Vivax tablet. As I can see the Vivax is not that popular and dont have support as the others.
As I can see when i search the web is that the chip and cpu is what is important...so this is an A13 Cortex A8 cpu TI OMAP 850 and 7inch tablet...and i want to change the rom couse the camera on this one is terrible...and I need cam for skype..
So my question on the end would be..where can I find some roms...and how to root it?
But what roms can i flash?? And can it be rooted?
It already has an recovery but the root checker says it is not rooted...well any help wich rooting and begining to flach an 7 inch tablet would be fine..
Thanks

Antutu battery saver

Just wanted to share the experiance with the antutu battery saver
First off all to say works 100%
Second, you must google it and install the apk manualy couse it's not anymore
To find on playstore
Thired and the best off all you dont need an new stronger battery
Couse it gives 100% battery boost
My 7inch tablet has poor battery 2400mAh what is for such screen insuficient
The screen on time WAS 1hour and 30min but now its double OR NOW ITS more than 3HOURS SCREEN ON TIME

MTK6582 drain battery problems in several models

I own an inew V3 mobile phone and the battery drains so fast it cannot get not even 12 hours moderate use, I have read same problems happens in different models with the same soc (haipai P6, Jiake 10), the models have a hd 1280*720 resolution screen, don't know if the same thing happens with QHD models that use a different soc.
So I post it here to find if this is a common problem of the soc, ammendable with software, or should we conclude that this soc is useless for mobile phones at all.
Same issue!
I'm also using iNew v3. Battery drains too fast. Also Battery stops charging at around 87% level & then suddenly it reaches at 100%! Also youtube doesn't play smoothly.

I read in other threads that battery drains mostly by cell standby on all MTK6582 Roms.
Could you try as a test to disable 3G (only use 2G).
Alternatively you could try to install Auto 3G Battery Saver https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slv3r.auto3g&hl=en
Could you report back the results? How much longer does your battery hold?

[Q] Query before buying

Hello Fellows,
I am willing to buy Mi4, but I am confused about its battery and performance as of now because of launch of new advanced handsets in market.
What would you suggest , that should I go for mi4?
1. Is its battery better than mi3? I personally dont do much on the phone whole day except that internet is on all the time and some messaging. But also on heavy side, I tend to play heavy graphics games. So what would be the battery output when I play heavy games continuously on the device?
2. Can we install CM on this device as of now?
Thanking you all in advance.
I think battery and performance is great and for me, it's definitely better than the Mi3.
As far as CM, you can install it, it just wouldn't be very stable.

lenovo S660 & A806 fast battery drain

Hi guys
i just bought 2 devices for my friends :
Lenovo s660 - runs 4.2.2 - 4.7" , 1/8GB, 6582 quad core, battery capacity 3000mah
lenovo a806 - runs 4.4.2 - 5", 2/16GB , 6592 octacore ,battery capacity 2500 mah
both of the owners are saying that the battery drains really fast even in save mode and in really basic use (some browsing, whatsup, calls without games or heavy use etc) which is not reasonable - i ordered it because of the battery capacity and the quality of lenovo.
Do you have any idea what could be the solution ?
Thanks in advance.

For me quite a big difference is if I'm using both sims or just one. Now when I'm on one I'm at 53% and have already 11d nad 14hrs. I use a Wifi a lot, but I don't play games at all. Mostly browser, RSS reading, email, viber a phone calls.
The other thing is that when I got the other day to 35% the battery got to 2% in a matter of two hours. So I guess it's not showing very acurate percentage...

[Q] phone is getting hot.. how much heat it can handle??

recently i have bought yu yureka bu micromax
- 1.5.GHz Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 Octa Core Processor / Adreno 405 GPU @ 550 MHz
- 2 GB RAM
- 5.5 Inch HD IPS Touchscreen Display
- Dual SIM Support
- 13MP Primary Camera With LED Flash
- 5 MP Front Camera
- 4G LTE
- 2500 MAh Battery.
- Customizable Cyanogen 11 OS
the phone been heating alot.. the CPU temperature is normally 45C and it raises as we use.. when gaming it goes between 60-65 C and when i run benchmark tools or play heavy games over an hour the temperature goes above 70C the top i observed is 77C..
isnt a processor supposed to shut off at 70C? as for safety reasons till it cools down?? how much this snapdragon 615 processor can get the most? will it burn or burn other internals?? please some1 clarify my doubts! i even noticed many people are facing the same kind of issues with samsung and moto phones which runs on octa core processors.. is it a hardware related issue or a software issue???

No It will not burn any material. It is not the PC Processor, but it seems that your device heats a lot, may be it is a manufacturing defect. Try asking others with the same phone. And don't overheat your phone, dont play games for hours and hours
Hit thanks if helped

I can't find any temperature values on the qualcomm website. Just write a email to qualcomm for first hand iformations Phone's kernel works with thermal throttling, means depending on the actual cpu temperature the cpu clock is lowered to protect the cpu from overheating. If your hardware works as it should, you can't overheat actual processors by using I suppose. If you can find a custom kernel you probably can set own values for thermal throttling. In any case you should try a kernel tool e.g. Trickster Mod or Performance Control for setting up the cpu. If you think its getting too hot, just deactivate some cores or lower the cpu clock, your phone will still be fast enough for all your applications.
Edit: which customer care people told you about the issue?

70-80 Degrees isn't a "Worry" Moment, It's actually quite normal for a Octa core to reach that high what do you expect? Since a phone doesn't have a Fan or something like a PC, so it relies on something else which needs longer time to cooldown.
My Nexus 5 using Quad Core reaches almost the same Value (65-70).
Remove the case if you have one since a case will have your phone increase in temperature too.
thanks.. i already hve done it.. i bought a flip cover which i used only for an hour... i worry only when it exceeds 70C.. i can feel the heat near the cam.. it gewts hard even to hold it. i heard meadiatek processors doesnt heat only qualcomm processors does. is it true??
is there any other phone with the same kinda heating issue? like over 70C still survive??

They've got no email addresses only office locations https://www.qualcomm.com/company/facilities/offices
then i guess only the experianced/developers in this forums can help me.. all i wanna know that if its safe to have such high temperatures ( 65 when gaming and 75+ when running benchmarking-stress test) is it ok with this qualcomm anapdragon 615 processor... some said these processors can withstand upto 100c and 90c is the cutoff temprature unlike the old processors.. can some expert who is experianced with developing any apps for any quad/octa core processor out there please help me. i just want this much info only

Hi, I'm looking at the H1 to do me for 6 months when I'll pick up the Nexus 6P successor, how did you find it? I've read a few reviews online but not much information about prolonged use. I'm coming from a galaxy note 4 (now broken) and have never owned a mid range smartphone so I'm unsure what to expect. does it run smoothly with a few apps open? app switching? multiple chrome tabs open? a few games here and there (not the most demanding of games though).
thanks
First, you have to remember that Cubot H1 has a MTK quad-core processor clocked 1 MHz. I think it's not the same league as processors in SG Note4 or Nexus 6P . Secondly, I can't live without root access. I use Greenify application, which makes RAM usage between 500MB - 1GB . I have installed 3 games : Angry Birds - Transformer, Traffic Rider , NFS No Limits. No problems. The same with open few tab in Chrome browser. Smartphone still working as a first day. Personally, I have slowly looking around for a successor, but doesn't find worthy . Battery 5000mAh and 5,7' screen is the absolute min, LED notifications , dual-sim, SD card slot (no hybrid), blinking buttons below the screen, mini-jack, plus USB on the top of the unit. Cubot work with Android 5.1. Probably I would wait (on the new smartphone) for Android N. Are you checked Ulephone Power?
Hello,
In my case it was 10-12 hrs too
