Problem with Outlook Syncing to Phone

I have the HTC Touch Pro and am having difficulty with my work email account syncing properly with the phone. When I first got the phone and setup the outlook email through exchange the emails flowed into my phone simultaneously. However a week or so ago I accidentally cleared all my data back to the phone default settings as to when I bought it. My yahoo email still shows up properly, but my outlook account only syncs when I am at work logged into our system, or when I log into the exchange network. Once I log out of the system, the incoming emails stop showing up on my phone. Can you tell me why I wouldn't be able to get my outlook email at all times of the day, even when I am not logged into the system? Really it is pointless to only have my outlook email update on my phone when I am sitting at a computer viewing. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

Android issues with unknown number, calendar recurrence, contact sync

I just graduated from a Blackberry to the HTC Incredible. After a few days of use and way too much forum browsing, I still have a few issues that I cannot resolve. Please help if you know of any solutions!
1. PHONE: If I dial one of my local contacts and do not include the area code, the call log labels the call as UNKNOWN. This is somewhat frustrating as every phone that I've ever owned was sophisticated enough to known that I'm dialing a known contact even if the area code is not included.
2. CONTACT SYNC: I synced my Blackberry with Outlook. I had no problem getting all of my contacts into the Incredible, but now I want to sync them with Google Contacts and ditch Outlook. I cannot change the PC Sync label on each contact in my phone though, and I'm not even sure if it has anything to do with it.
3. CALENDAR RECURRENCE: I often need to enter meetings to repeat on multiple days of the week. For instance, I may have a review meeting every Tuesday and Thursday. Is there a calendar app that has the capability of recurrence in this manner? I know this is a popular problem, but I have been unsuccessful in finding a solution. It seems insane to have to enter these types of recurrences through Google Calendar to have them sync with the phone properly.
4. MAIL: If I setup my "native" or default google account in the HTC mail app, it syncs with IMAP to get all of the existing mail. HOWEVER, it will not show any new mail that comes in. I have unchecked the sync with the Gmail App ( I cannot remove the account from the Gmail App), but no matter what I do, I cannot get new mail in HTC Mail. Each time I try removing the account from HTC and setting it up again, the new mail shows up, but nothing new from then on.
5. POPUP NOTIFICATIONS: I love the notifications that I get in the status bar for new mail or text messages. Is there anything that I can use to have these notifications popup in a new window on my screen?
Please help! This is an awesome phone, but it just seems that some of the "basics" are missing.
Why didnt you post this in the HTC Incredible subforums? I doubt you will get an answer in here.

[Q] Exchange Calendar & Contacts on Android always Push updates even if Auto-Sync=OFF

[Q] Exchange Calendar & Contacts on Android always Push updates even if Auto-Sync=OFF
Fist off, my goal is manual SYNC of everything everywhere in Android. I want to save battery.
I have an Exchange account with which I sync email, calendar and contacts. In the email app I set the inbox frequency to check NEVER (i.e. manual updates). That works fine... my email only syncs when I refresh my inbox manually. GREAT!
The problem is my calendar and contacts always receive push/real time updates. I have tried everything I can think of to set up manual updates for my calendar and contacts but I cant do it. Is this possible? The whole reason I am syncing email manually is to save battery, but if calendar and contacts cant be changed then I guess there's no point, right?
The only way I could get it to work was by disabling Background data. but it seems like it should just use the same sync settings as my inbox. Do I need to get over my WM ActiveSync-esque expectations?

[Q] How to sync sms and contacts with htcsense.com

How do i sync sms and contacts with htcsense.com ?
I can log in to htcsense.com and make my phone ring and i can lock the phone.
But i want the rest that is shown in this video.

I don't know when they stopped having it look like that, but I think it automatically syncs.
I exchanged my Sensation today & when I signed in the my htcsense account on my phone it started to sync the contacts & texts back to my phone. I really wish there was a way to disable it actually.
You can disable sync, but then you will not be able to track your phone i guess.
I don't understand why i can't see all options.
If I'm going to do a hard reset, then i want to know if my data is in sync with htcsense.com or not...
see that's what sucks. I'd like it to be synced to htcsense, but I don't want my contacts/sms synced. i hope they fix that. right now if I sync it up then it will pull down my contacts & there will be duplicates which I don't want.
After sync with htcsense.com, I did a hard reset of the phone.
The contacts and the messages was not restored to my phone when i again performed a sync with htcsense.com
There was no important sms on my phone and i had all my contacts synchronized with gmail, so no problem losing it.
Apps was not restored when logging on to marked.

Google Voice

So I've upgraded my Captivate from CM7 to the Slim ICS ROM that's running Android 4.0.4. I've got about four or five google accounts on it, primarily to sync Gmail and one does contacts, drive, voice, etc.. Out of the bunch I do have a primary account that I update contacts and everything with and it does have a Voice account tied to it that I use. One account is my school email which is Gmail based but doesn't offer the full range of Google services (docs, voice, plus, drive). It works fine on the gmail app and I've used it before in CM7 and even the stock ROM. On the down side since it doesn't have the Google Voice capability Voice keeps giving me an "Authorization Failed" warning as it tries to sign in that account. I've looked for a way to remove it from just Voice, but it looks like everything google-related is pretty tightly integrated into ICS, which I found right off the bat... I wouldn't mind it displaying it upon boot but every hour or two I'll get a notification about it failing to sign in. Is there a way to remove certain accounts from voice without removing them from the phone? I'd use the standard POP email client but I like the push feature that Gmail uses so it isn't checking for messages every X minutes.
Try looking in settings-accounts and sync, and then in the account that you don't want the Voice notifications for. Make sure that it isn't trying to sync - that could be why you're getting the authorization failure notice.
I just looked and unfortunately there's nothing about syncing voice accounts. I guess it's called Talk on the phone.. for some reason I keep calling it voice. Anyway, I've tried going through everything in the app too and it just directs me back to the accounts and sync part of the phone's settings.
So I guess this shows how n00bish I was but I finally figured it out.. I thought Talk = Voice. Wrong. I disabled that app and installed the Google Voice app. Now I don't have any more of those notifications popping up all of the time.
