Root problem

Hi . i was running cm 11 nightly and I wanted to get back to the stock ROM so I backed up everything and it went well . after I got back to 4.4 stock I updated it to 4.4.2 but after the update the recovery was deleted so I used fastboot and flashed it again . when I rebooted it didn't ask me if I would like to install super su so I thought I was already rooted and everything was ok . but I dont have root premmission and I Dont know how to fix it . help please

You need to flash a rom or a root zip.
There's a rooting / unlocking bootloader sticky thread in general

just flash a recovery in fastboot, then flash the latest supersu in that recovery. thats all.

Setup adb correctly, install the correct drivers and see you have the latest bootloader (HHZ11k) installed to be able to flash CM11. Ans as said read the stickies and OP`s of the dev threads.
Specially do always a backup! A nand backup is preferred. The nightly are not always stables and sometime you are stuck in bootloop. Anyway enjoy

If you have a custom recovery you could flash a custom Rom. Look for the stock Rom by vomer in the development forum. Or you can flash the factory image with fastboot. See the sticky rollup thread in the general forum. In there you'll find a guide to flash the factory image

You need to flash the new bootloader first

I'm trying to retain my Root, User Data, and CWM Recovery. Can I simply sideload the system.img? Basically create a zip containing only the system.img then use CWM's sideload?
I found my answer here:

you do know that all you had to do was go to Android development and you would of found what you are looking for and if its not rooted just flash SuperSu. No disrespect but you may need to do a little more research on how this all works prior to flashing anything..
