[Q] AOPS on Locked BL - Xperia E - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hey guys.
My friend just bought the Xperia E(single).
The BL is locked.
But she want's to run CM, or any AOSP rom.
I don't find a perfect answer for me.
I find, we can root E with locked bl, but can't flash recovery, so can't flash rom.
Am I right?
So no chance to have AOSP rom on E with locked BL ?
Regards,

Nop, at the moment there isn't any recovery available for locked BL. And I doubt it will ever come. So you have 2 options. If her device's bootloader can be unlocked, unlock it. Or she has to stick with the stock Sony rom.
Hope I helped. Succes!

Sony Xperia E bootloader problem.

So i had the bootloader of my phone unlocked, but almost every Sony Xperia E user is facing a bootloop problem after unlocking the bootloader. So i reflashed the whole stock rom (.ftf) and the bootloop error is now gone. But i want to know if the bootloader is still unlocked, because i want to flash a new kernel. But in order to flash a kernel, you need to have the bootloader unlocked. Any suggestions???
Yes, it is still unlocked

Xperia L FTF

Got custom rom and kernel, bootloader is unlocked, and i am rooted. If i flash ftf will everything be fine? I mean will i be stock again (which means my guaranty is back again)? I found those ftf's http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/sony-xperia-l-flashable-ftfs-locked-t2560642 . Guys i dont really know what should i choose. I got C2105 xperia l. Thanks in advance
Yes, you will be on stock again. If your phone ends up in a bootloop, then you also need to do a factory reset. Pick the ftf for your own country, if available.
If you want to make use of your guaranty, you'd better relock your bootloader.
I would like to add that just relocking the bootloader won't get your warranty back. For that you must restore your TA partition.
Thanks guys

[Completed] Xperia z3 .77

Hi, I'm on a .77 firmware and I need to go back to .93 (previous update in october). However, I do not want to unlock my bootloader as I will loose my DRM keys.
Is this possible to flash back to .77 on a locked boot loader?
Thanks

Not that easy.
I know that there is a way to unlock and then relock the bootloader, like decribed here: [ALL-IN-ONE][HOW-TO][D5803] Bootloader Unlock/Relock/Flash firmware/CWM Recovery/Root (Keep in mind that it's originally for the Z3 compact).
Usually you need an unlocked bootloader to flash a new firmware.
If you register on xda, you can ask in the Sony Xperia Z3 Help and Troubleshooting forum to get better answers from users having the same device like you.
Thread closed. Thank you.

root z3 6633

Hi
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633)
Android Lollipop 6.0.1 Build 23.5.A.0.570 ( Original-Stock firmware )
Locked bootloader
I want to root it without flashing any new firmware, and without unlocking the bootloader
Just Rooting
If someone can make a video explaining, I'm using the translate BR .
thanks
For now, there is no known way to root this firmware w/o unlocking bootloader. Best way to obtain root is to downgrade to KK, get Root and recovery, and then flash pre-rooted MM firmware. Here is very good tutorial for that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056.
Also, I don't recommend to unlock the bootloader. bacause you'll get almoust only downsides.
