Got custom rom and kernel, bootloader is unlocked, and i am rooted. If i flash ftf will everything be fine? I mean will i be stock again (which means my guaranty is back again)? I found those ftf's http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/sony-xperia-l-flashable-ftfs-locked-t2560642 . Guys i dont really know what should i choose. I got C2105 xperia l. Thanks in advance
Yes, you will be on stock again. If your phone ends up in a bootloop, then you also need to do a factory reset. Pick the ftf for your own country, if available.
If you want to make use of your guaranty, you'd better relock your bootloader.
I would like to add that just relocking the bootloader won't get your warranty back. For that you must restore your TA partition.
Thanks guys

i flash custom kernel its work fine , i would like to go back to Stock ROM of xperia L c2104 INDIA
Yes it is possible, just use flashtool..
Sent from my taoshan using XDA Free mobile app
yes
but unlocked boot loader , rooting,ROM Changes permenant:-
i given my phone to ASC
they said its very difficult to revert back..!
i ll comment hear after i get my mobile..!
If you have backed up your TA partition during the bootloader unlock process, the restore the TA partition and then flash the STOCK ftf. This way you will have a locked bootloader and STOCK INDIAN ftf. But if you have not backed up the TA partition, You can still lock the bootloader as reported by many users. But you will not have the DRM keys. So i doubt if the STOCK official updates would work.
Hope i have helped you. Hit the thanks button if i have helped you!
1- Do I need to unroot the phone(xperia L) and relock the bootloader to flash the stock rom?
2-Does flashing the stock rom removes CWM(I want to remove it)?
Thank's in advance!
you can return to stock firmware using FLASH TOOL for xperia ( google it )
With this you can lock the bootloader but before that flash the stock rom @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/sony-xperia-l-flashable-ftfs-locked-t2560642
and yes flashing stock rom with FLASH TOOL will also remove CWM
hit thanks if that helped because today i also returned to stock rom

Firstly, updates via pc companion or SUS requires lock bootloader..if you have TA backup just restored it and it will be updated officially.
Second...Flashing new firmware will erased everything and your bootloader still will be unlocked if throu flashtool..
Third...when using flashtool, there are a few choices you can make like saving your data and etc but its recommended to wipe everything..
your data etc can be backup using 3rd party app..
The easiest way to root is using extended stock kernel v6 kernel..It has built in root and its binaries..
Thank you very much. I didn't save TA when I unlocked the bootloader so I assume that I can't get it locked. So in this case I will do the update trough flashtool. After flashing the update I will just restore root. Have a nice day

Just flash ftf and you're back as stock
just flash the ftf of your version, root it, then restore your TA backup, then unroot. STOCKED NOW!

You can flash the firmware provided that it's actually the same as the name says. Just perform a clean flash, root your device, restore TA backup and again flash. Your device will come back to the default state.
Hit thanks if it worked
Hi all
I have searched for a long time about rooting my device, but i found nothing
I have Sony Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633) with android 5.1.1 build 23.4.A.1.232 and locked bootloader.
So, I need to root it or install a pre-rooted stock firmware without touching the bootloader.
Hi, you need to flash a kitkat rom with flashtool then root with giefroot. (I'm not sure about other rooting methods but this is the safest way IMO.)
After it got rooted, install a recovery so you can flash pre-rooted stock firmware or whatever you want. Remember to backup TA partition.
I had D6633 before and worked perfectly.
I have posted this before but you can go directly to the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056

As far as I know, stock roms with stock kernel don't need bootloader to be unlocked. You need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash custom kernel and aosp stuffs.
tl;dr, if you are not gonna use custom kernel and aosp stuffs your bootloader can remain locked.
Ok, if you want to install moonbreakers, here's what I did when I first bought the device. I never unlock my bootloader.
1. Prepare the tools and root the device using Giefroot. and I recommend you to backup TA partition first just in case.
2.Install dual recovery.
3.Now that you have a working recovery you can flash any stock roms.
here's the guide by G-FACE.
if you want to unlock the bootloader remember to backup TA partition before you do it. If it's lost you can't get it back.

First of all, thanks for your help
Well i'm not professional, I only understand the rooting process.
But I have some questions:
1- can I make a ftf file as a backup from my exist firmware, so when I decide to reverse the whole process and return my device back to its original state, without losing anything?
2- What is the recovery, is that recovery has any disadvantage or negatively affect my device?
3- I didn't find a firmware 23.4.A.1.232 with the same customization version which is 1288-7361_R3C
Hi,
My dad recentely upgrade his XZ, but it didn't work and the phone is in bootloop. So I try ti use Xperia Companion to repair it but pass 10% there is a error message and it can't go further...
So my question is can i make a factory reset using a Stock firmware with Flashtool without loosing the TA partition ? (the phone is full stock so the bootloader is lock and my dad want to keep is waranty) (I try some researches but i didnt found any answers about flashing a stock rom with flashtool, all i found is how to flash a custom rom)
Thx,
Valentin
Flashing a FTF will do nothing to the TA partition. You are safe to proceed
