[Q] KitKat 4.4 on tf101 - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if anyone is working on a 4.4 ROM for the tf101? I hope there is someone, I really want to see how well the tf101 runs on it.

TimDuru was working on it but ran into some snags, so he shelved the 4.4 development while he fine-tuned his excellent 4.3 Rom (even more).

I was thinking about giving it a shot with OmniROM sources, but haven't quite got everything prepared yet to get there. I'm currently using OmniROM 4.4 sources to build TWRP for our devices, but it will require either separate device and kernel trees for a full ROM build or at least some tweaks to keep the 2 separated. If I come up with anything I'll post it.

[Q] multiple apps on screen for tf300

Hi there
Is any dev working on this?
The sg note2 is able to do this, so i say rewrite that rom and make it compatible for tf300 :silly:
Or use original rom and fix the framework thingy lol
I know there is an cornerstone version of cyanogenmod 9 that is able to do this, only it doesn't work for me because i'm on jb allready.
Would be great if the tf300t is able to do this.
Thanks

[Q] No-name CM10.2 nightlies wan't boot on tf101g

Hi all.
I'm trying to run CM10.2 on my tf101g from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402752
But all i'm getting after flashing from TWRP only asus splash and nothing is booting there. What i must to check or look for to fix this? CM10.1 with android 4.2.2 running very nice, but when i trying to go on 4.3 it fails. Flashing process done ok without any problem.
KatKiss with 4.3 also booted without any problem, but y really liked CM.
So, any advice? By the way, what happend with those builds from NoName team? No update since the end of september, why so?
Sorry, but I can't post in development forum due to restrictions for new users. Thanks for helping and for great job by the way.

[Q]possible a custom rom of 4.4 KitKat?

as my topic title, Android KitKat had been showing that optimised for 512mb-1gb old tablets.
was hoping to have that....
Timduru was working on it but having issues. It may be possible, but there are few devs working on the TF101 so it may just take time

[Q] what to choose? kitkat rom

Hi
I am new in this forum so bare with me I have had the Asua transtormer infinity tf700t since it came out in 2012. It ia 100% stock with the android 4.2.1 intalled. I dont think i runs as well as it had done running on the earlier android versions. I just got a hold on a Asus nexus 7, also 100% stock on android 4.4.2, whch runs much better. I know that the nexux diveces are running smooth, but i think that a transformer tf700t can run much better then it does now. I am thinking about trying a costum rom wich i think will run much better. But I am not sure if there is a very good rom out there yet. Is there a rom where everything is working fot the tf700t like bluetooth, wifi, sound, camera, mic and alle the other stuff??? It is also very importent for me that the dock is working like it should and the usr of a external sd card in both the tablet itselve and the dock!
The only reson that I consider using another rom is that I dont think it is running as it could. I have tried doing a factory reset mant times...
Is there a good rom outthere yet or should I wait???? Which one should I use if there are a good one?????
PS I am not an advanced user, but I doo know how to use a computer and follow a guide Apparently I am not that good at English eighter...

I'm pretty sure once you run a custom rom you are going to kick yourself you waited this long
A ROM for "everything works like stock including all dock functions only much, much better": CROMi-X 5.4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425383
A KitKat ROM: CM11
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957660
CyanogenMod ROMs are developed from the ground up and then forked for specific devices. Since they don't use Asus firmware they have to use generic drivers for keyboard etc. Expect some bugs but most things work. Check their thread for current issues
Another KitKat ROM: CROMBi-KK
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672751
Two weeks young, a hybrid of CROMi-X and CM11 on CM11 base. It's still in beta, so there are bugs
For your first custom rom I would recommend CROMi-X. Read the OP of it's thread very carefully and then browse through it. To read it all you need to take a few days off
And finally here are some instructions how to flash them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688891

[Q] Need a custom rom suggestion

Im kind of new here, so hi Im looking for a good custom rom to flash on my GTab 2 P3110.
Im planning to use it on my car (already got a mount for it), so I need the rom to have a working gps and have compatibility with Here Maps.
Also, it would be good if it was the latest version (Lollipop), but it can be KitKat for the sake of stability and compatibility!
I had a Nexus 7 with AutoDroid installed, but my small cousin managed to crack the screen
So yeah, that's about it. Hope you guys can help me!

Look in the Development thread for 7" tab 2. Either I've tried SlimLP and CM12.1 on my tablet as far as Lollipop goes. If you want a KitKat ROM, SlimKat is a good choice. Be sure to click thanks on @Android-Andi in the ROM thread if you choose one of those. (Always click thanks on the ROM developers OP in the ROM thread)

I've tried both Lollipop ROMs. SlimLP causes Here to crash rly often (an user also reported that on the thread). So far, CM 12.1 is being stable as I needed. Thanked Andi already, he's an incredible guy! Also, thx for the suggestion, my friend

No problem! I am also running CM12.1 at the moment. Make sure you edit the thread title and add "[SOLVED]" to the beginning of it before "[Q]".
Have a great weekend!
