Here is the dilemma:
I got a Sensation from a retail TMO location about a month ago and have had zero issues with it. It is a Taiwan unit, with a box date of 6/03 and an inside cover date of 5/09 with an AUO screen.
Due to an account upgrade, I just got another Sensation. This one is a China unit and has a box date of 7/12 and an inside cover date of 6/23 also with an AUO screen.
So, should I keep the month old, zero issue Taiwan unit or the new China unit with no track record yet? What would you do and why?

The new one, just because it's newer and has no wear on it.
Well you didn't really say what you're doing with the one you don't keep. If you're returning it somewhere, you have to return the device they gave you.
If you're selling it, just keep the one you've already been using. If it's already making you happy, no sense in swapping. Besides it's easier to sell a BNIB unit.
If the other is for another line on your account, give them which ever device you think they deserve .
I would go the opposite and keep the older one with no issues. Things like the touchscreen problem or dust under the screen may not show up for a while with a new device.
I would definitely keep the Taiwan unit because I had just gone to T-Mobile to exchange my defective sensation (Chinese unit) and asked them for one that was made in Taiwan. The build quality of my second unit even felt better and I no longer have issues like dust in my screen or loss of touchscreen responsiveness. My cousin had an Tmobile HTC hd2 from china and it was giving him problems also until he went ahead and traded it in for a Taiwan unit. I guess its just better to buy a phone from the same place where the company is located

No, I'm not returning it or using it for another line. I'll probably sell one or the other. The one I've been using is totally perfect (no drops, dings, scratches, etc). From what I have seen, Sensations sell pretty well New or Gently Used, so worst case scenario I might get a few bucks less for the older one.

Soooo true!
I would do the same, at least you're sure your older unit doesn't have touchscreen or dust under screen issues.
Imagine, if within one month, your new one starts getting dust under the screen ^^
Unless the old one already has wear or scratch on it, keep it, if it had to get dust under the screen or other problems, it would have it already, when you can't know for the new one.
Just my opinion
Simple, go for the one that overclocks better. I was in the same dilemna. My old unit went to 1.8ghz no problem but the new unit wouldn't go that far...

Yeah, in kind of leaning toward keeping the older one, it's a known quantity. I guess there is just something about a new toy that makes you stop and say hmmmm. Then again, New = running changes (ex. New one has TMO Highlight pre-installed, not that I care) and the contacts app on the old one is called "Contacts" and on the new one its called "People". This change is in the pre-installed apps, contacts is replaced by people. Oh, and yes the new one is S-on with the same ROM and software versions.

Mine is also Taiwan AUO and no issues at all. I would do the no issues one, old one.
Hi all! New poster here, old reader
I've just gone thru my second Sensation now (in 3 days), had 2 DOA's in a row. The first had the blue light "leakage" down at the home button and the headphone jack was defect. The other one had a battery cover that did'nt quite fit, the screen would creek and move some when you pressed it, the volume rocker was loose and it had touch issues.
I'm VERY dissapointed with the original Sensation and I've never used a DOA before this phone my entire life and now 2 in a row.
Now I got a gift card with the money instead, since I don't dare to pick up my third Sensation from the same store (the first 2 had the same manfacturing date on the battery cover) so now I'm not sure what to do?
Are there any "perfect" Sensations out there? Did HTC do a sloppy job on these phones (always had HTC smartphones before, and no major issues). This can't just be bad luck or can it?
Cheers!
Bad luck.
I've had mine since June or so and I haven't had any problems with it. No real Wifi death grip, no loose back cover, nothing.
Get one from a different store.
All manufacturers are having quality issues, or at least we're hearing about them more.
The more "trouble" consumers cause shops by returning faulty phones the more pressure will be put on the factories to improve.
Persevere, the Sensation is a top of the range phone
I bought mine since June and it doesn't have any problems too. All working great. I suppose its just bad luck for you.
Thank for the replies so far!
Ok, seems (so far) that I've had bad luck. I REALLY hope thats the issue, cause I REALLY love the phone, the design, the hardware etc. But I just can not pay all that money for a premium phone that ain't.... well premium
I took the gift card for the sole reason to try and buy the phone at another store, maybe it was a faulty batch or something, who knows. But two phones in a row, with the same production date (which I can't really remember right now june fifth China I believe, have to check when I get home) wich are both faulty has really made me think twice.
So the news you guys bring so far is really good news to me!
Hopefully, the next replacement you get is a perfect one! It's really an awesome phone and it's kinda sad to get missed out due to some defects. ):
Mine has a bit of play in the cover but that's just how it is so doesn't bother me.
Mines is good so far.... Maybe that store is selling fakes?

Nah, no fakes. It's one of our largest/most spread stores here in Sweden (deals with phones, computers, TV's etc etc).
The thing is. I'm really NO "sitting under the magnifying glas looking for dead pixels" kindof guy, so these phones really was faulty.
According to the replies of this thread though it really seems like bad luck. I will try to buy another one, in a diffrent store (well not by name but location atleast) and see if I get a normal working HTC premium sensation!
It just your luck...
What they are actually doing is giving you reconditioned or refurbished phones. These are cheaper for them and are usually ones that have had faults i.e firmware flash failures, broken screens etc.Demand a BRAND NEW DEVICE as they have to provide you with a new fully working phone when you get it.If you are in the UK we have trading standards that you could contact to start a complaint if they refuse you a new device

Ask to try out the replacement in the shop to give it a good going over to make sure there are no obvious faults
I've had mine since June as well. I get nothing but compliments on it and honestly, its the best phone I've ever had. I must agree with everyone else when I say buy another one. I'm sure like everyone else, you will be happy too.

Well you guys convinced me! I will go get another one today actually! Thanks for all the replies, it's been really helpfull to me!
I'll keep you updated!
same thing happened to me, all replacements they sent me had dead pixels.
though, i used the replacement phones to get free accessories. lol
Just got my third Sesnsation (since thursday) a few hours ago. So far it's just perfect! Sweet! I has NONE of the flaws my 2 previous devices had.
Just to makr sure I got one from another batch this time I got a newer serial number, made in Taiwan instead of China. So far so good!
It pays of to be a whiny ol' customer sometimes

Absolutely, the more legitimate trouble customers cause by returning faulty goods, the more the stores will put pressure on the manufacturers to improve their quality

Mine has a dead pixel but im reluctant to get anbother in case it has more problems, like my mate having 1 million (exagerated) Desires that were faulty.1 pixel i can deal with and i think ill wait till i get a few more scratches on this beauty before i demand a new one
I'm also on my second phone. The first one was just bad all round, and nothing seemed to work properly. The second has terrible call quality and keeps dropping calls. the wifi also keeps dropping out. one minute I have four bars and the next I have nothing. it's like the "death grip" problem but still does it even if i'm not touching the phone. Also have the back cover problem and the screen freezing problem. I love the phone but it's the phone part thats always faulty, it is by far the worst reception I have had on a phone. Oh and just checked mine and it was made in Taiwan.

Time to start asking O2 for compensation along with a replacement phone, they're normally good at giving credits to customer's accounts. I got £15 once just by making the woman in the call centre laugh
As someone who didn't think the galaxy s3 was going to feel like that major of an upgrade over the Hercules, I gotta say, I tried it out. And then having been fairly convinced by the display, I traded my Hercules + cash for the pebble blue one off Craigslist.
Gotta say, wow. AOKP JB runs literally with no bugs for me (some ppl have call echo but I'm lucky enough to not), AND and just wow. I never knew how much of an upgrade this device was. If anyone out there is skeptical about upgrading, don't be. You won't regret the switch.

If its running AOKP, then it cant do anything the SII cant do. Its just a bit quicker. I'll avoid the impulse buy and see what comes this fall.

I've been tempted to lately just since it's been so long since I've had a new gadget. But honestly, not sure if I want to go with another device that's held at the mercy of carriers/manufacturers for updates. I want the next Nexus to come out soon...
I assure you its not worth it. If you have money to burn, go ahead. I've had and returned it for a gs2
hey its one of those posts that gives the op justification and gratification for buying a product!
I can totally say that the s2 has AOKP JB with literally no bugs, some ppl have RR and SOD but I'm fortunate enough to not have those bugs!
I'm just messing with you OP. enjoy your S3, i will join you when i break my s2.

Well I wasn't shallow enough to upgrade just because of aokp, I think that'd be just a liiiiittle bit weird. Just sayin.
The display and smooth interface was what got me, it's significantly better than the s2, totally never expected it to be be. And more than an impulse buy, it's a phone that I think will last a long time. Mostly posting this for those who were questioning upgrading.
Cool story bro. I hope you like it better than my best friend likes his.
My friend has one and like blackangst said. My friend hates his and is wanting to get another S2.
I'll get one once the price comes waaaaay down on Craigslist for them. The screen and camera are about the only legitimate upgrades from our device

A few of my friends have it. Its much faster, (side by side app loading and gaming) the screen is much better, the camera sensors wreck the ones on this phone, the battery life is MUCH better.. what exactly isn't worth it to you? Youve had this agenda against the s3 for awhile now and im starting to doubt if youve had the handset at all. The phone is an overall upgrade. Were you expecting it to make you breakfast??? I dont get some of you noobs. This phone is great but the over infatuation some of these people have with the t989 is overwhelming. Personally im waiting to jump back into the nexus line.
Actually my buddy also went from the t989 to the s3. The only thing he doesnt like about it is that wifi reception is a bit sketchy compared to the t989 but hes loving everything else about it. Hes a current tmobile employee and says the s3 is the best handset tmos got in its line up. Id say its a worthy upgrade for the 720p samoled screen alone.

Why get a S3 now when the note 2 is right around the corner and the new nexus probably coming right afterwards?

Yeah the International note 2 is around the corner, god knows if tmobile will even get it, as for the nexus, it's a cool phone but as long as it doesn't have ex sd I will never get one. I myself really want to upgrade to the S3, but I'm a little hesitant as I have seen some of my friends' S3 already scratched from the screen. One of my friends had an s2 and now the s3 and he cracked the screen after only one drop. He said the drop wasn't even that bad. And I'm a person who doesn't like any cracks or scratches on the phone screen. And I fumble my phone a lot lol

Interesting maybe i should check on the durability.
I'm the same way, keep my phone nice and pristine, but i rarely drop my phone. I actually only dropped it 3 times. 2 with case phew, and once without... Which was the worst thing possible... i put it in my shirt pocket got out of the car.... Bent over to check my tires a routine i do weekly.... Bam onto my bricked type driveway... on the corner too... I stare at my flawed Bezel every day from then on... I never leave anything in my shirt pocket from that day forward. What made it worse was that right before i got out of the car i just removed my full film protection for that corner because it was getting uhhh linty/dirty. Felt like bad luck Brian lol

Can I ask why ppl went back? I know the person I got mine from just didn't like the center button, which I actually like. Worked out to be a good deal for both parties.
Also, regarding screen scratches, why the hell don't ppl just buy some $5-10 screen protectors on Amazon for their $600 device?? This seems like an obvious fix to me..
Also, the original international note didn't work on tmobile 3g/4g, nor am I likely to find the deal I got for this for one of those behemoths. Expandable memory is what won me over a nexus device also, I already have the tablet so this fits what I want a bit more.
protectors will resist some scratches, but what we were worry about is the screen cracking............... I've dropped my phone waist high on concrete and uneven ground yet minimal damages. If his friend barely dropped it and it shattered his screen... It sounds very weak.., like iPhone weak.. I've seen my friends and people drop their iPhone from sitting Down and you can hear the glass shatter.. If it's like that... I rather not buy it.
If you haven't noticed there are very few cases of broken screens in this phone section. Hence i would like to see how the s3 holds up.

Yes exactly what I am worried about. Because I myself have dropped this phone and its landed in every position imaginable, yet there is not a single scratch on the screen. As for iphones, yeah I don't think I have seen one yet without some kind of screen damage lol

I for one will wait to see who's going to carry the note 2, tmobile already dropping the first note after a few weeks is a good sign noting that they got on board with samsung with the note and maybe wanted to test the waters or might have been part of the contract of them signing on for the note 2. Either way I'm heading the note or new galaxy way with tmobile or not. Which would be straight talk because att can kiss my a$$.. But yea the nexus really needs that external slot and hopefully not have the headphone jack on the bottom of the phone.. smh
I made the mistake of upgrading to the sensation when it first came out, then the s2 then the gnex, then the one x came out so i learned my lesson n wait for the fall, after all software its what makes any outdated phone like new, and the s2 runs jelly bean like a champ and even with the little random bugs its a daily driver, we are less than 3 months for the new nexus device to come out, the new phones out there are still dual cores, better ones yeah, but still our phones are capable of the same features, and not all apps are compatible with ics and not to mention jb, so at this time of the year, why rush to buy a device that will be outdated in 3 months?

Duuuude, I almost did the same thing with the sensation. My EX girl was able to get an extra line and we were planning on getting me a phone and I was getting the sensation. For some reason we never did and we ended breaking up a little later. So when I went to TMobile to get a line on my own I got the s2. Thank god for that. Imagine, I'd be stuck with a sensation and under my ex's name. Phew

Has held up fine for me, I always keep my phone in a case after I ruined my vibrants screen a year back. Might say I'm paranoid of all screens breaking after that lol
So, I broke the glass on my Infuse a week ago. The LCD touchscreen beneath it is in perfect condition without any noticeable defects. I have dropped my phone from over 5' onto concrete multiple times in the past and nothing broke those times, but I went to get out of my car and it slipped out of my pocket and fell one foot onto asphalt and the screen shattered, at least the bottom half. It sucks, but it happens, right? That is why I pay $5 /month for insurance, it is an expensive phone that i don't want to replace out of pocket. Well, it turns out that the last time I had to file an insurance claim they hadn't updated their pricing policy. It use to be $50 for a claim, but now it is $200! Ridiculously expensive if I say so myself. I went onto ebay and found that they sell the LCD, glass, and tools for $190, but this is an outdated phone, well AT&T doesn't sell it anymore at least. Why would I want to spend close to $200 for a new screen when I only spent $80 to buy the phone 15 months ago???
Now onto my real question:
1) Should I buy the screen replacement and fix it myself? I'm generally really good with electronics... and I've replaced screens in flip phones before.
2) Should I open a new line on my existing account for $10 a month and get the galaxy s3 for $170 and just put my sim card in the phone?
3) or should I go through AT&T's replacement service and get w/e phone they want to give me? (What phone replaced the Infuse anyway?)
What do you guys think I should do?
I have cracked glass on my Infuse (LCD still works fine in my case, I assume it does for you as well).
Here are what I think are the three best options (no particular order)
1 - Send it to Samsung for repair. They'll do it for about $156, including shipping both ways (they send you a shipping envelope). But you'll lose your phone for 1 to 2 weeks.Contact phone number: 1-888-987-4357
2 - Get a used phone on ebay, craigslist, etc.
3 - Live with it and hope it gets better. This may sound wacky, but I have a cracked phone glass and it really honestly seems to have gotten "better" over time. I'm not kidding.
Part of is switching your apps to dark background so you don't notice the cracks as much (and save battery anyway)..
part of it is getting used to the cracks so they don't catch your attention...
and here's the wacky part ... in my case some of the cracks have "gone away" or gotten smaller since the initial damage. I know that sounds silly and I certainly can't explain why it did that (other than to say this is not normal glass), but that is what I observed with my own eyes.
I don't think replacing the whole LCD unit is an attractive option. It costs $150 and you can get a new phone or have Samsung fix it for that much. It is a somewhat delicate procedure from what I have heard so after spending tht $150 there's a small chance you may not have fixed anything.
There is also Infuse Glass for sale for $10 or so but it is apparently unusable... can't replace glass without replacing the entire LCD unit (they're glued together)
you might want to double check ATT website. i got my refurbished infuse for 1 penny. flawless, looked and worked like brand new. so good, i got one for my sister too.
I have an infuse that I'm willing to sell for 150. Everything works besides the USB port being wonky at times...sometimes it works, others it doesn't. So for 150 you could repair your phone and gain another battery/everything else for the same price as sending it to Samsung.
I advise against adding a line...yeah its 170 up front but add another 240 for 10 bucks a month extra over two years. So that's paying essentially 410 for that s3...same with buying it for a penny online...paying 240 for another infuse over two years.

Attached are pictures immediately after I dropped my phone. I took them using front-facing camera mode.
Here are photos of the same phone (not repaired) today, about 5 months after I dropped it.
I was not able to recreate the exact same view (not sure how I originally managed to use front-facing camera and mirror to get photo of screen without seeing picture within picture type thing).
But I hope you can see it is a lot better. Tough to capture in pictures but there is no doubt in my mind the cracks somehow got better.
Your cracks got better likely because of the adhesive on your screen protector. That is a decent idea for the op to try though...if no chunks of glass are missing, they could try seeing if a screen protector makes the cracks less noticeable
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I have a screen protector on the phone right now and that is the only reason I'm able to use it. I'll post some pictures in a few showing how it looks.
captemo: How were you able to get an Infuse for $0.01? Was it an upgrade/new line/new customer deal?
electricpete1: they showed up when I posted my reply. Interesting...Makes me wonder what type of nearly self healing glass they implemented on your phone! lol Well, that is interesting, I can still see the impact site on the 5 months after photos, but the cracks seem to be nearly invisible now. [[]]edit[[]]For some reason your images are not showing up.[[]]edit[[]] I'll take a look on another browser and see what it looks like. But I am using a screen protector already.
welchertc: I was actually ready for an upgrade in a month but the account holder was a few hours late on his scheduled payment for an over due account and it bumped my upgrade deadline to July next year. So I would technically keep the new line for 7 months, then deactivate my current line and transfer the number over. (I believe that it possible...correct me if I am wrong though) I'll think about buying your infuse. Could you either show a picture of the screen or describe its condition? Mine was flawless, until it dropped that is.
So, my options are either buy a used one for $50 less, claim insurance, send to samsung (Should I keep the custom rom on the phone or will this send up red flags? I'm running Jellybean), or live with it until I can upgrade?

Your cracks got better likely because of the adhesive on your screen protector. That is a decent idea for the op to try though...if no chunks of glass are missing, they could try seeing if a screen protector makes the cracks less noticeable

Yes, I have the same screen protector on there now that was on there when it cracked (didn't change it).
Maybe the screen protector somehow played a role in the appearance of cracks going away (even though it's the same screen protector).
Maybe the adhesive is soaking into the cracks. Maybe the protector started to pull away from the crack so hides it a little.
Beats me.

Same as I was. For whatever reason, the screen that looked horrible 5 months ago after I dropped it looks great now... and I didn't do anything (including didn't change screen protector). I was on the verge of spending $156 to have Samsung fix it, and the only reason I didn't was that I didn't want to give up my phone for the period of 1-2 weeks required for that shipping/repair. Now, based on all the factors I mentioned (using black background, getting used to it, and cracked appearance going away somewhat) I'm glad I didn't spend that money.
here are the pictures:
To me, it looks similar to how mine looked. Heavy damage in one corner with cracks spreading accross the screen.
You could try waiting a month or two (three tops). If you see no change, then go ahead and find your replacement. But you might be pleasantly surprised with substantial improvement in appearance (like I was). In the meantime, set your apps and wallpaper to black for very dark backround.
I think I'll wait and see if I can live with it for a month, and if I cannot...then I'll see about replacing the screen first. I'll start the contact with samsung within the week though. I'd rather get the information now and be able to get the replacement screen as quick as possible if I decide to go that route.
Thanks for the advice guys.

OK. I think it was about two months before I noticed the change. I wasn't expecting a change and therefore wasn't looking for a change, so may not have been really observant. You on the other hand have very good quality pictures of screen and will be watching closely.
** Please do come back here and let us know how it turns out.
(I have zero doubt about what I saw, but I also understand it's difficult for anyone else to believe... would feel better if someone else reports similar observations)
I'm always on the forum, but rarely post because the only threads I usually watch are the ones dealing with development. I'll be sure to let you know about the glass though,

3) or should I go through AT&T's replacement service and get w/e phone they want to give me? (What phone replaced the Infuse anyway?)
What do you guys think I should do?

I'd like to know what phone replaced the infuse too, especially since its officially considered an obsolete phone now.
As a matter of fact Rhamza, that's the case you should build to AT&T-that the phone is obsolete. I've heard plenty of cases, including myself, of complaints to service providers and getting whatever it is you want, so long as your nice and get a compliant tech in the line.
Tell them (if u want) that "my cat knocked my phone off the table, breaking my screen. I see that this phone is totally obsolete and unavailable to purchase at any authorized att retailers... I feel I deserve a replacement because"...etc..
I've heard of people getting galaxy phones for the infuse, so it always worth shot. The worst that could happen is they say no.

Hm, interesting. I'll give it a try. I mean it is worth a shot.

I finally just went ahead and called samsung and they said the replacement screens including the LCD would cost exactly $155.88 including shipping. I don't think I'll go that route. I get paid Thursday for over 50 hours so AT&T will be contacted about a broken screen.
electricpete1: I have noticed that some parts of the screen do actually look better, however the 4 buttons on the bottom of the screen are starting to not work because of lost glass even after placing a screen protector over the loose pieces. I think they just came off of the LCD portion.
Sliding the unlock to the right on JB (CM10 unofficial) is starting to require a little more pressure than normal.
honestly i'd send it to samsung unless you have insurance, i had bad luck with replacement parts from china despite them having official "samsung" branding and looking legit. the insurance might get you a phone you don't wan't. since i think (not sure) they deal in refurbed phones for insurance but it might however get you an i-777 sgs2 (a nice upgrade if you like the smaller size) since it looks like hey still have new and refurbed i777s in stock online depited it being long out of production like the infuse. but if they a replacement phone you don't want then samsung is the best way to go unless you find a repair service that has a good warranty policy. i've replaced the screen on one of my infuses myself for a single crack across the screen that was barely visable, the replacement screen burned out in under 2 months and it cost me more than what samsung quoted you to fix yours,at the time i didn't want to be without my phone while waiting for a repair and it cost me.
Well I went ahead and went through the insurance company. Supposedly I coudl have had a choice in the phone I was given, but when I clicked on the "Choose more" button it sent me to the same phone, the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and it said "If you click on 'more options again, you'll be directed to an associate who will attempt to help solve your problem and will not be allowed to continue online at any point" So I stayed with the Skyrocket for now...I'm honestly not sure how I'll like it. Some websites say that the screen is 0.2" smaller than the infuse, other say it is the same. I love my Infuse, but I would rather get a new phone, not one that is a year old already (the skyrocket came out last year in October after all). The phone should be here tomorrow sometime, so I'll report back and let you guys know if it is refurbished or new. In a way I hope that there is something wrong or something I dislike so I can justify attempting to get a nicer, newer phone.
But at least it is coming with ICS and the screen is not broken and there is a modding community here that is amazing! So even if it isn't the best phone I've ever used, it'll still be better than nothing and I can have JB on it within the hour of it arriving. lol
well there was something wrong with it out of the box. (Of course right?) I called Asurion and she said "we'll send you a shipping label and you can send it back to us and when we receive it we'll send you another one right back."
"Wait, I don't have another phone to use while this one is being processed and shipped. What will I do without a phone? I need it for work!"
"Well, go to AT&T and see if they will loan you a phone for about two weeks while we send you another one, but I've never heard of them doing it before."
"Why can't you send me a new phone and when I receive it, I'll send the defective one back?"
"It doesn't work like that."
"If AT&T doesn't hand out a phone for a loan and I miss work because of it, will your company compensate me my $10/hr wage and contact my bosses and explain to them that it is your fault that I missed work?"
"Um, no we can't do that either."
"[[]]sigh[[]] just send me the shipping label and be done with it. This is ridiculous."
"okay. Have a good night." and she hung up the phone.
wth? Rude and not helpful at all. The new phone that I was sent had a defective mic, both on normal calls and speaker phone calls. The AT&T customer service person was really polite and helped me though their trouble shooting guide for the phone and ended up having me go down to AT&T to get a new SIM card. That didn't work, but they activated the new SIM and added the phone to my plan. So the next AT&T rep sent me a phone number to Asurion to get it replaced, because I have 30 days to report a defective device. Well the previous conversation ensued and I find that I am really not satisfied with their representatives. I should have been recording it! jeez.
Here are some photos I took of my Infuse before I put it into the shipping box three days ago.
Hi everybody,
today ain't a good day for me.
My phone just smashed accidentally onto the road, after it had slipped from my hands. I was on the second floor (about 6 meter).
SBAM.
The impact was terrible, as you can see in the photos.
The "SAMSUNG" sign was completely turned into smithereens, and the fragments of glass were arrived up to the mainboard.
Despite that, I am trying to repair it.
I have just disassembled the entire device and I am planning to buy the front panel (+ lcd).
The question is: how can I know if the device still works ? Any idea?
What would you suggest?
I suggest you save money for a new phone..
You post make me sad
I don't believe, that you will find somebody that would be brave to check if this stuff still work. As you have on above post, the cheaper will be to buy new one... :fingers-crossed:
thank you all.
ARGH...I know, it's a pity, this wasn't supposed to happen
I'll save money for a new phone, yeah. I believe I don't have other choises (buying a new lcd is too expensive).
Thank you again, fellows!
well damn......that makes me sad and I have to say i dropped mine a lot of times,i have even trown it when i was angry but i can say that a few side scratches and back case scratched is all that's on it...lucky I used my momax case i guess.still i don't recommend it if you guys want to keep your back phone case free of scratches
i think is cheaper to buy a new smartphone than to repair and/or replace the screen
so sad:crying:
Bury him

the screen will cost quite abit if im not mistaken. not worth the trouble as well. just get a new phone
Also, are you sure that the screen is the only thing that's broken? A drop from that height is more than enough to break the motherboard.

90 dollar for a replacement screen. But I guess that's just the front glass, you also broke the back.
Ye, a galaxy nexus seems fine, or maybe a motorola defy+ if you want something cheaper, it's just 200 now, almost the same specs as the galaxy s and it's meant for heavy use as you still see the screws...Seeing the damage you can cause, it's probably fit for you.
