HTC One Mini tampered - HTC One Mini

Does anyone know how I can go back to like the official HTC One Mini? Currently it shows:

OS-1.24.502.3
eMMC-boot 1024mb

Use Google or xda and search for "revone". It's a tool used for S-OFF, but it has some commands used to remove things like tampered and locked status. I've used this to s-off and remove the tampered flag, but BE WARNED as with all things that change system settings and files there is a chance it could brick your phone.
I would leave it because you'll never be able to restore back to stock recovery now you have unlocked your boot loader. It's unnecessary risk.

Yea, I wish they would make ruu for the mini. And the guy who made the magiorom should make it base on software number 1.24.502.3 because you can play asphalt 8 and many more games at full graphics. I took a nandroid backup of my stock rom before I flash the magiorom so now I restore it to the stock so I can play those games.

Yup, and as long as you already have adb/fastboot setup on your computer, and have SuperCID, its pretty quick and easy.

It doesnt matter what your reason is, the answer remains the same.
If youre going to soff using cm remember to give adb root access in developer options prior.

okayy well do u know of a sense rom which doesnt require s-off?
Have a look at the OP's for the ROMs, they'll say whether it requires s-off or not.

Ive had enough of tryna figure this out, i wanna just start completely from scratch as in stock att rom and all, unrooted. how do i go by that? i dont mind loosing my sdcard files
Running an RUU will return you to stock. But, s-on + SuperCID + jb RUU = brick. What are your bootloader details?

Are you manually flashing the boot img via fastboot? Maybe this is why you can't get the ROM to boot.
If you really want your phone to be a clean slate, S- Off and RUU is the way to go

No roms require S-OFF, but ruuing does and a few roms require certain Hboot/firmware versions to work smoothly. They say to S-OFF so you can RUU up to that firmware. I don't see what the trouble is really. Copy paste one command at a time into your command prompt and at the end you'll have s-off. -_-

If you try to RUU to 3.18/2.14 you will brick. S-OFF.
If for whatever reason you cannot do it. I can do it for you through teamviewer. Just PM me.
If you want to safely RUU I'd suggest you get s-off. It's really simple, I'm not sure what the big problem is?

No system, only TWRP with S-on. Major clusterduck!!

Hi all
through a series of stupid actions, I am now in a position where I have TWRP, no working image and S-on. This all stemmed from an attempt to upgrade to CM10.2. Anyway, a lot of reading has led me to the conclusion that I need to go back to a standard RUU in order to set S-off. The problem is my fastboot is 2.15 and I cannot seem to find an RUU anywhere.
The fastboot screen details are as follows:

If anyone can point me in the right direction for a RUU or a possible way to get S-off through fastboot, I would be eternally grateful. I have already spent around 15 hours trying to sort this out. Needless to say, I have learnt some lessons about reading instructions and making backups.

Richard
Did you flash boot.img in fastboot? If you didn't, you should try it first before you attempt to do S-OFF. To get S-OFF, I would use Rumrunner.

I don't know why you want to s-off but i think you don't have to. If you have twrp you can mount your sd via twrp to a computer, copy any rom you want to the sd, flash boot.img with fastboot from the rom zip and flash rom via twrp. But you should first unlock your bootloader

Thanks both for the replies. I have transferring a boot.img using fastboot, but this just gets me into a never ending boot screen. The boot.img I tried were cm 10.1.2 and then a 10.1.3. I had read that this will not work with S-on, but I am far from an expert. I have tried rumrunner, but this needs adb to work, and from what I gather adb only works when the phone itself is also booted into an OS.
I had tried to get adb working, but I never get any response from adb devices as the phone never gets past the bootloader.
I realise that I don't need S-off to flash a stock ROM, but my problem is that can't find a stock ROM for a 2,15 Hboot. My goal is to install CM 10.2.
Regards
Richard
You can not install any boot.img with locked bootloader, you can just ruu back.
If you want to install cm 10.2 unlock your boot loader, download cm10.2, flash boot.img from the downloaded zip and flash cm from recovery. Otherwise you can just ruu back

Hi,
I had tried this, but got into an endless fuzzy blue screen loop. This was because of S-on I believe. I had relocked the bootloader in preparation for an RUU.
I had figured that my best way out of this mess would be to flash a stock ROM, turn S-off and then flash cm

Complex Problem

So I rooted my Butterfly some time ago and I flashed a rom which worked fine ONCE, but then after one reboot I couldn't get the ROM to work so I came back to stock. Now that I'm trying to flash a new ROM, but now I seem to have lost recovery. How do I flash recovery, get S-off again with a semi-rooted phone that seemed to be S-on after one reboot

Hi Team.
7 Days ago after several times to root my HTC ONE S, it was bricked at least I think.
I´m S-ON, no Root, no ROM, only unlock the bootloader. So when i try to start the phone It was stuck into the red letters behind the HTC ONE logo.
I was the last 7 days reading all the posts, tutorials and youtube videos I google. I make some trys to install the official RUU from the Europe as mi CID is ORANG309 from spanish company but I get the wrong CID error when I try.
Please could anyone confirm if my HTC is totally bricked or I have some expectation.

Well if you cannot find a working RUU then you should just install a custom recovery, install a custom rom, and don't forget to flash the boot.img.
You should be set.

Sure it is okay. You only need to root when keeping a stock ROM on it. Most (all?) roms are rooted. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Being S-On means that you cannot change partitions, radio, bootloader, and have to flash the boot.img when installing ROMs. I would say most people who are using this phone are S-On, not that big of deal.

Software Status - Modified

VZW sent me a new phone and sim to troubleshoot an issues I was having with getting 4G Coverage. Turns out the SIM card needed to be replaced. I am sending in my old phone and went through the steps to get the phone back to stock. After applying the RUU I attempt to switch s-off to s-on. After doing this my bootloader has "Software status: Modified". I messed up the restoration as I did not lock the bootloader prior to putting s-on. I just want to make sure VZW does not have an issue with the Modified banner in the bootloader. Do I need to be S-off to changed the Modified banner? Seems getting your phone s-off on firmware 4.4.4 has become harder, I tried Sunshine and it stated a know issue prevent the application from working.

I wouldn't send it I with the modified banner and I don't think there's any way to remove it I your state. I would think your best bet is till hope that sunshine 3.0 works for you when it's released. I feel like that is unlikely however.

Thanks Modified message went away via relocking the bootloader and flashing your S-On RUU. Bootloader now reads **Software status: Official ***. Do you think VZW would have a problem with the *** Relocked *** flag thath appears in my bootloader now?
I have a similar case. I tried to root my M8x (Asian Variant ) with Kingoroot app which fails. Sunshine was unable to get the temp root on my device before attempting the rooting with this app. Unfortunately in the fastboot menu I saw Software Status modified and Locked.
During the booting after I have a black screen of 3 seconds between the first white screen and the HTC one animation.
Factory resetting the M8 didn't change the situation
Thanks in advance
