So I rooted my Butterfly some time ago and I flashed a rom which worked fine ONCE, but then after one reboot I couldn't get the ROM to work so I came back to stock. Now that I'm trying to flash a new ROM, but now I seem to have lost recovery. How do I flash recovery, get S-off again with a semi-rooted phone that seemed to be S-on after one reboot
Here's the Bootloader page :

Do not have CWM, because installing ROM by RUU is thrown. Need the ClockWorkMod Recowery which you can easily overdub manually.
Read carefully all of my entries on this thread and then ask. There you should find answers to questions posed here. How happy is something I can help because I have two methods for unlocking them.

i think you can do it without booting the phone. go in fastboot, install htc sync, then uninstall htc sync leaving the htc drivers and revolutionary will recognise your device in fast boot. then once your s-off and have clockwork flash miui and happy days

The easiest way to revitalize your gadget is to flash in recovery mode any suitable backup. Just instal any custom recovery, mount SD and put recovery in Backup's folder... Flash and enjoy the life!
Hello everyone!
I have a problem:
I wanted to flash a custom rom ("aokp_evita_jb-mr1_milestone-1.zip" (That's Android 4.2.2)). It has looked like it was succesfull, the phone booted normally. At the lockscreen, the touchscreen didn't respond, so I couldn't unlock the screen, but the volume and the power buttons have worked!
I've done these steps:
- NANDroid Backup
- booted to bootloader
- fastboot flash boot boot.img (extracted from AOKP.zip)
- booted to recovery
- factory reset
- install AOKP.zip
- install gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
- reboot system
Here is some information from the bootloader which can be helpful:

One day I tried to root and unlock the bootloader of my friends One S, those were both successful so then i thought..why not flash a ROM (stupidly i didnt think about being S-OFF. I flashed CM11 in CWM and it got stuck in a bootloop so i wiped all data/factory reset. The phone is S-ON with an unlocked bootloader. It has a TWRP recovery. The bootloader stats are as follows:

S-ON means you'll have to manually flash the "boot.img" contained in the rom zip via fastboot (Fastboot flash boot boot.img) after you installed the rom via recovery.

There is no old back up and there is no data on the Internal memory.
I can not do 'USB Debugging' to get ADB work, because there is no OS to set it on, and phone will not boot.
I have read many forums threads and tried many things and still im stuck at boot screen- HTC
There is a recovery ; clockwork mod recovery v5.0.2.0
How do i get my HTC work, don't care if its Rooted or Non- rooted.
Im sorry this is my first experience with Android.
Hope that you can help me.

Hey,
I have the same problem (up to the last digit)

Code:
fastboot oem lock

Now we should be able to install a Stock ROM RUU - I am still looking for one that fits.
...and start all over.
What I did to get into this trouble:
- made some experience with an old Motorola Defy and a Samsung Galaxy S3
- got this HTC Desire S with german Telekom branding
- said: " oh no problem, I'll fix you old phone for you." <-- first mistake
- installed the drivers (HTC Sync)
- updated latest android SDK
- used fastboot to unlock <-- second mistake?
- installed ClockworkMod
- rebooted and recognized the T-Branding before the recovery screen coming up
- ignored it <-- third mistake
- OS crash
