I'm having difficulty connecting my Shield to my PC. Every time I try and connect it, Windows fails to find the correct drivers for it.
Could someone help me? Don't know what's going on here but it's getting annoying how I can't seem to find the drivers I'm looking for ANYWHERE.
I am going to guess you're not looking for the adb drivers, and you mean the MTP drivers.
If that is the case AFAIK Windows is the only place for them.

Hi guys!
I'm having a problem with one of my WM& phones... Here is th deal, when I install active sync and connect my girlfriends HTC touch everything goes well, my laptop recognises it as a Generic RNDIS and then everything goes well and I can sync that phone. But when I connect my LG KS20 the computer doesn't recognize it as a Generic RNDIS but as an ordinary USB device... so it doesn't get installed at all because no driver is to be found, not on the laptop nor on the phone... Is there anyone who can help me with this? I recently got the phone back after a warranty issue and now I can't sync it or connect it at all...bugs th living **** out of me!
Any ideas how to get it to work?
Best regards

Hello,
I have a suggestion which may help you:
Try looking in the Device Manager on both machines, and see if the USB VID/PID values match.. If they do, then the problem is that a rogue driver INF is probably present on your desktop system, and you may wish to search for any .INF which contains the VID/PID and delete it, reboot, then try installing the driver from the disc again.
If the VID/PID don't match, then the problem is with the USB hardware on the desktop machine, I think.. The driver may be malfunctioning and need an update, perhaps?
Hopefully this helps. If you still cannot get it to work, try google searching for the VID and/or PID and you may find some helpful hits.. Also, post them here and you will surely receive help from the XDA-dev community! ^_^
The VID/PID can be found under the Properties page for the device, in the Details tab (under "Device Instance Id").

Ok, I'll try that but since I'm pretty new at this I don't think that I will have the courage to tinker too much, perhaps it's better to just leave it to the retailer as a new warranty issue... But I really doubt that it's a problem with my desktop system since all other WM6 phones work flawlessly with it, it's just that damn KS20 that won't do what it's supposed to...
My laptop cant see my tablet other than as a storage device so I think its a driver issue. I dug around and found some drivers but cant get them to take. Does anyone know an different approach?
I found a different guide so i'll try it now. 5 time's a charm
First off, sorry if I put this in the wrong section, I did not see one for Windows tablets just windows phones. Well anyway I just got a generic Windows Tablet (This one:http://www.weiku.com/products/13079175/10_inch_tablet_pc.html) It came pre-loaded with Windows 7. Seeing as it's not an ideal OS for a tablet I opted for Windows 8.1. I created a boot USB and did my installation, only to find that the finished product has no audio or network card adapter drivers. So after a full night of scouring the internet I could not find the drivers I needed. So I guess what I'm asking is does anyone here know where to get the drivers or where to find any universal drivers? I've searched and searched. But to no avail. You guys are all I really have to turn to. So if you can help leave me a reply. Thanks everyone.
So basically I have an old Cricket Flip Phone from 2009 which has pictures on it which I would like to move to my PC. The info on the phone itself is "www[DOT]phonescoop[DOT]com/phones/phone.php?p=2217". My issue with the phone is that I cannot get it to detect on either my Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 PC. The USB cable definitely works because it does provide a charge for the phone. When I connect the phone to the PC in the Device Manager I do see a new device under "Other Devices" which is named "Qualcomm". I have googled around and found two (not sure if official) drivers. However I can't get them to install. I did see a thread on this website regarding some Qualcomm drivers but for whatever reason it was not allowing it to be trusted. And when I try to update the driver through "My Devices" it just says "Windows could not find drivers for that device". There are no USB options on this phone.
Does anyone have any input on where I can find the correct Qualcomm driver I need for this phone? I would greatly appreciate it.

Good luck
So. I have spent about an hour searching now, and cant seem to find anyone else who is having this problem (which seems peculiar to me...) but anyways, ive got my girlfriends stock, non-rooted big ol mama jama of a clone for the p8+ (or max, maybe?) and when i connect it to my microsoft surface 3 running windows 10, it doesn't recognize it AT ALL. I have usb debugging turned on the device, and on my computer i turned off the check for digitally signed drivers, I have the latest version of android studio installed, with adb, fastboot, the whole shebang, I have downloaded several drivers, up to (but not limited to)pdanet and the ultimate driver mtk kit that is usually found alongside the skipsoft anddroid toolkit. I cant seem to figurer this beyotch out, it will charge the device but literally nothing more. neither the device nor the computer can tell the other one exists.
any tips?
